How pink is your wig?

The Schism No One Wants To Call A Schism
The Sacrament of Penance all but abandoned in Holland

Just like Holy Water for sand... the Sacrament of Penance has gone the way of how you feeeeeeeeel. But hey, maybe the Dutch have given up Confession for Lent.

No. I have that sinking feeling that the Confessional is now going to be the second loneliest place in Dutch churches --- second only to how lonely Christ must be with the Tabernacles hidden away in various Sacred Broom Closets... oops, I mean "Adoration Chapels".

Anyhow, I posted a couple of weeks ago concerning a brave priest who had the audacity (insert snarkiness HERE) to refuse Holy Communion to a self-proclaim homosexual "Prince" (shouldn't it have been 'Princess' in light he is really a Queen?).

But I asked the musical question if this particular priest, one Father Luc Buyens, would "fold like do many other of his confrères?"

Well, he didn't. But you can bet your ass that his confrères did.

Hundreds of pink wigged deviants crowded into Sint Jan's Cathedral to disrupt Mass. Here's a bit of the article (LifeSiteNews) from March 1st in regards; (Emphasis mine)

Anticipating the protest, the diocese announced that Communion would not be distributed. In his homily, Fr. van Rossem explained that he was "compelled by conscience" to not offer Communion because it would be a "grave sacrilege" that the Holy Eucharist would become an object of protest and demonstration. Instead, he urged the congregation to make a spiritual communion.
Ahhh, but that was March 1st. Here's what happened, as reported on March 3d (CatholicCulture.org); (Emphasis mine)

Dutch homosexuals call off disruptions as parish backs down on Communion

Militant homosexuals in the Netherlands have called off plans to disrupt worship at a Catholic parish in Den Bosch, after receiving assurances that the parish would not deny Communion to open homosexuals.

The dispute in the Sint-Jan parish began when a priest denied the Eucharist to a noted homosexual activist. Last Sunday a large group of homosexual activists, some wearing pink fright wigs, attended Mass at the parish, planning to present themselves for Communion. When the pastor decided not to distribute Communion, to avoid a disruption, the group marched out of the church in protest.

The parish has now announced that members of the congregation will be asked to decide for themselves whether they are properly disposed to receive Communion.
How sad to know that centuries upon centuries of Catholic martyrs died for nothing.
