Where's "All the news that fit to print?"

Where's "All the news that fit to print?"

How come we have to get Texas news from a Canadian newspaper??

This should be top news on the media, and yet not one word of it has been seen or heard about.

A nationwide alert was issued by NCIS in Dallas, Texas
Afghan Military Deserters in the U.S. - their photos
By Doug Hagmann Wednesday, June 30, 2010
Northeast Intelligence Service
Earlier this month, it was revealed that 17 Afghan soldiers under training at the Defense Language Institute at Lackland Air Force Base deserted over the past few years and are missing in the U.S. A nationwide alert was issued by NCIS in Dallas, Texas on 9 June 2010, providing the names and photographs of each of the foreign nationals who had “gone missing.”

Since the issuance of that bulletin and despite the reports that seven of the missing men have been found, the names and photographs of all 17 continue to be distributed in law enforcement venues.

The media initially reported on this breach of security, however has since downplayed the dangers posed by these men. Absent of additional information by the military and absent of their photographs, the major media seems to have quietly moved on. It is important to note that each of these men have been issued “CAC” cards that give them the ability to enter DOD installations.

The Northeast Intelligence Network and Canada Free Press secured the photographs of all 17 men without regard to the allegations that several have been captured. If any of these men are sighted or encountered, you are urged to report the incident to your local law enforcement immediately.

US Administration Launches All-Out International Homosexual “Rights” Offensive
By Terrence McKeegan, J.D.

WASHINGTON DC, June 24th (C-FAM) United States (US) Secretary of State Hillary Clinton addressed a reception at the State Department, proclaiming that “human rights are gay rights and gay rights are human rights, once and for all.” The reception celebrated “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month,” as was officially proclaimed by President Barack Obama for the month of June, and follows a recent incident at the United Nations (UN) where U.S. representatives made loud demands for immediate action on accrediting a homosexual “rights” group to the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

Secretary Clinton used her address at the reception as an opportunity to set forth a very explicit agenda of promoting the homosexual “rights” agenda throughout the world. “We are elevating our human rights dialogues with other governments and conducting public diplomacy to protect the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender persons,” said Clinton. “Our Bureau for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor produces an annual Human Rights Report that include a section on how LGBT persons are treated in every country.” Additionally, Clinton noted that, “The Bureau of African Affairs has taken the lead by asking every embassy in Africa to report on the conditions of local LGBT communities. And I’m asking every regional bureau to make this issue a priority.”

Demonstrating just how much of a priority this issue is, Clinton offered a few examples of US diplomats actively promoting homosexual “rights” agenda overseas. “In Albania, a young man named Klodian Cela recently came out on a popular television program called Big Brother. Soon after, our ambassador, John Withers, went on television to publicly express support for this man.”

Earlier this month, at the Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) Committee hearings where 19 UN Member States review applications from NGOs for accreditation with the UN, the application of the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC) provoked a fierce debate. After the Egyptian delegate posed questions for the group including concerns that IGLHRC position’s could threaten the rights to religious freedom and expression of individuals, the US delegate attempted to suspend additional review of the group by calling for an immediate vote to accredit the group.

Egypt countered by observing that its questions had not been "answered in a straight way” by the group and asserting its right to have a full review process. Egypt then asked for a procedural “no action” vote to be taken on the US motion for an immediate vote. This procedural vote was carried by a majority of the members of the committee, leaving the US and other Western countries to issue strong condemnations of the committee and even individual members. Despite this outcome, some diplomats privately stated that the US and other Western countries would try to bypass the NGO Committee and call for a vote on the IGLHRC application at the upcoming ECOSOC meeting in July.

Finally, President Obama, in his White House proclamation for Father’s Day this year, did not miss the opportunity to stress that “nurturing families come[s] in many forms” including children being raised by “two fathers.”

Yet Another attack on the parishioners of Our Lady of Lourdes

After driving away many good catholic families, the Pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes,
is now threatening to end the Latin Mass on Sundays. It wasn't enough that he had moved it to a very inconvenient time of 1:30 PM, so that less and less parishioners would attend, now he is claiming that the low collections is the reason that he wants to do away with the Latin Mass.
Why not put the mass at a convenient time like 9AM, or rotate it , as here-to-fore was the case? No, that would defeat his objective of driving the remnants of the traditional parishioners, out of Our Lady of Lourdes parish, and then claim that because of low parishioners, they must CLOSE OUR LADY OF LOURDES PARISH!
Think not? The Msgr claims to be receiving $17,000.00 every week. With the school closed, the collections should leave an excess of money, so that whatever the parishioners who attend the Latin mass give, would not make any difference.
That is the amount of money he claims to be receiving every week, according to his bulletins. Is he lying to cover up the drop in collections by the loss of parishioners, that he drove away, or is he lying in the amount of collections received each week? Much has been posted on the website :

Interesting post on the Rorate Caeli this morning.

I believe everything that could be said , has been said there.

How does it feel Democ-Rats

Published: June 22, 2010
WASHINGTON — A federal judge in New Orleans on Tuesday blocked a six-month moratorium on deep-water drilling projects that the Obama administration had imposed in response to the vast oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

The White House swiftly said the administration would appeal the decision.

In a 22-page ruling, Judge Martin L. C. Feldman of Federal District Court issued a preliminary injunction against the enforcement of a May 28 order halting all floating offshore drilling projects in more than 500 feet of water and preventing the government from issuing new permits for such projects.

Citing the economic harm to businesses and workers in the gulf caused by the moratorium, Judge Feldman — a 1983 appointee of President Ronald Reagan — wrote that the Obama administration had failed to justify the need for the sweeping suspension, which he characterized as “generic, indeed punitive.”

He wrote that “the blanket moratorium, with no parameters, seems to assume that because one rig failed and although no one yet fully knows why, all companies and rigs drilling new wells over 500 feet also universally present an imminent danger.”

The bulletin of the judge’s decision came on reporters’ hand-held devices just as Robert Gibbs, the White House press secretary, had ended his daily briefing. Clearly prepared for it, Mr. Gibbs said the administration would “immediately appeal” to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Gibbs said the president “strongly believes that continuing to drill at those depths without knowing what’s happened” in the April 20 explosion on the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig, which killed 11 workers and left a well gushing out of control,“makes no sense” and puts people’s lives at risk.

The Obama administration had argued that a six-month suspension of deepwater drilling was necessary so that the government could complete its investigation of the Deepwater Horizon accident, and make sure that other drilling operations on the outer continental shelf were safe.

But the order was challenged by a coalition of businesses that provide services and equipment to offshore drilling platforms. The companies sued, asking the judge to declare the moratorium to be invalid and arguing that there was no evidence that existing operations were unsafe.

The State of Louisiana filed a brief supporting the lawsuit, arguing that the moratorium would damage its economy.

Jackie Calmes contributed reporting.

Mort Zuckerman: World Sees Obama as Incompetent and an Amateur.
June 19, 2010 9:31

But the world is also getting no better than it deserves – Mort Zuckerman’s article is here and it is worth reading. But, really, this is entirely unsurprising – and, in fact, was entirely predicted by everyone who wasn’t a partisan Democrat or bamboozled by the pro-Obama hype. In the United States and around the world, serious observers warned that Obama didn’t have what it takes to be President – all such doubts were resolutely ignored.

Obama is young! He’s cool! He speaks well! He’s black and modern! He’s got delightful children! Set aside your doubts – he is, as he rather arrogantly pointed out, what we’ve been waiting for!

Let’s be serious here – Obama had zero executive experience before assuming the Presidency. As far as could be seen, he didn’t have even a cursory knowledge of foreign or military affairs. Economics was a dark continent for him – his entire economic program merely warmed-over, FDR/LBJ tax and spend liberalism. Most importantly, he had never known defeat – a dangerous fact in anyone aspiring to senior leadership (and made worse by the fact that his lack of defeat stemmed from his dodging most circumstances which could lead to defeat).

He was an absolute zero with a good PR machine – that is all. But he’s also not the first zero to be elected President. It happens. And it usually doesn’t work out too well. Some times, though, great leadership can come from the most surprising quarters.

But now he’s President and real world events are happening all the time. It was going to get dicey for President Obama under the best of circumstances, but there was a hope that he’d grow in to the job. He still may, but thus far the real dimensions of his responsibility don’t seem to have dawned on him. He still appears stuck in 2008, thinking that a well-crafted speech and slobbering MSM coverage will do whatever trick is necessary.

We can only hope that he gets a grip on things – at least well enough to stave off a disaster.

( He is a disaster! The answer is to vote out the Democrats in November!!!)

Wait, I though Al Gore invented the world????

Guess who holds patent for carbon-trading plan
Disgraced Fannie Mae CEO set to cash in for millions

Obama housing adviser Franklin Raines

Former Clinton and Obama budget adviser Franklin Raines owns a key carbon-emissions patent he developed as CEO of the government-sponsored mortgage giant Fannie Mae, positioning him and his partners to make millions of dollars if it is used in any carbon-capping scheme implemented by the Obama administration.

Raines and his associates led Fannie Mae and Congress to believe Fannie Mae owned the patent, despite public records to the contrary, a WND investigation has found.

Raines and his partners carried out their plan by quietly filing for and receiving a second nearly identical carbon-emissions patent that superseded the first patent, according to government records. The second patent was never assigned to Fannie Mae or any other party.

As WND reported, an Enron-like accounting scandal enabled Raines to earn $90 million in his five years as Fannie Mae CEO, from 1999 to 2004.

Raines and his associates applied for the first patent, U.S. Patent No. 6904336, entitled "System and Method for Residential Emissions Trading," Nov. 8, 2002, while Raines was Fannie Mae CEO. The first patent was issued June 7, 2005.

Be the first to see the full documentation of how your life could be changed by climate-related laws, taxes and regulations, in "Climategate"

In three separate assignments made in April and July 2004, Raines and his associates assigned the first patent to Fannie Mae and to CantorCO2e, a London– and San Francisco–based international company self-described as "a leading global provider of financial services to the world's environmental and energy markets."

Carlton Bartels, the chief executive of Wall Street trading and investment firm Cantor Fitzgerald and head of the spin-off CantorCO2e organization, was one of Raines' partners listed as an "inventor" and co-owner of the patent.

On Dec. 21, 2004, Raines accepted "early retirement" as Fannie Mae CEO while Securities and Exchange Commission investigators pursued their inquiry into accounting irregularities under Raines' management.

On April 28, 2005, Raines and his partners, including Bartels, applied for a second carbon-emissions patent issued Nov. 7, 2006, as U.S. Patent No. 7133750.

The second patent was nearly identical to the first. Only a few sentences in the claims were modified, making the substantive meaning and intent of the second patent no different than the first.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office records make clear that the second patent was never assigned to any other party, meaning Raines and the other individuals listed on the patent as "inventors" retained all ownership rights.

Rader, Fishman & Grauer PLLC, the law firm serving as attorney to Raines and his partners for the second patent, told WND client-attorney privilege prevented the law firm from commenting.

Raines could not be reached for comment.

Patent office explains

Jennifer Rankin Byrne, spokeswoman for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, explained to WND regarding the two patents that "one application is a continuation of the other," such that the two patents are "essentially for the same invention."

"Basically – the second patent is what's called a 'continuation' of the first application," she explained in an e-mail to WND. "What this means is that this is a second application for the same invention claimed in a prior application and filed before the original application becomes abandoned or granted. Sometimes the continuation application will have additional claims beyond what was included in the original application, or improvements to the invention in the original application."

Rankin Byrne confirmed the second patent superseded the first patent.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office extension division confirmed to WND there was no record of any assignments for the second patent and that assignments made for the first patent do not automatically carry forward to the second.

Fannie Mae misled

In response to a WND inquiry, Fannie Mae spokeswoman Janis L. Smith referred WND to a May 25 letter sent by Fannie Mae general counsel Alfred M. Pollard to Reps. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., and Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

In the letter, Pollard explained that the first patent "was granted on June 7, 2005, to Fannie Mae and a joint owner, LLC."

Pollard's letter appears aimed at explaining to Issa and Chaffetz why Fannie Mae was pursuing a carbon-emissions patent, an issue apparently outside the authority of the mortgage government-sponsored entity.

Pollard, apparently unaware of the second patent, made no reference to it in the letter.

Moreover, Pollard's letter implies Raines was acting in his capacity as Fannie Mae CEO when he applied for the patents, since the language of the letter makes no distinction between Raines and Fannie Mae applying for the patents.

"In filing the patent application, Fannie Mae did not intend to enter the energy-trading business," Pollard explained to Congress. "Residential emission trading, if developed in the market, would be conducted by others in the financial industry or other subject-matter experts. Similarly, Fannie Mae did not pursue a patent out of a desire for potential royalties, but instead with the hope it could help facilitate the implementation by others of its original concept that residential builders could leverage their investments in building energy-efficient houses."

He continued, writing as if Fannie Mae and were the patent applicants, listed as "inventors," rather than third parties that received a beneficial interest in the patent through an assignment process: "Fannie Mae and LLC opted to protect this business method through the joint filing of a patent application to allow the concept to be implemented by industry participants without their having to fear patent and royalty claims by others, should others obtain a patent on the concept if Fannie Mae and LLC did not."

Contrary to these representations, Fannie Mae and are not listed as applicants or inventors on either patent.

Issa and Chaffetz did not respond to a WND request for comment. Issa's office said it is aware of the story and is looking into it.

Raines at Fannie Mae

As WND reported, Raines and two other top Fannie Mae executives agreed to pay $24.7 million, including a $2 million fine, to settle a civil lawsuit filed in December 2006 accusing them of manipulating Fannie Mae earnings, allowing executives to pocket hundreds of millions in bonuses from 1998 to 2004.

Raines was forced to give up Fannie Mae stock options valued at $15.6 million as part of the settlement.

On July 17, 2008, the the Washington Post ran a profile piece on Raines stating he "has been quietly constructing a new life for himself" in which he takes "calls from Barack Obama's presidential campaign seeking his advice on mortgage and housing policy matters."

Prior to the settlement, the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight, the government regulator that oversees Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, had sought $100 million against Raines and the other two executives, plus restitution totaling more than $115 million in bonus money tied to the accounting scheme.

Fannie Mae separately paid a $400 million civil fine in a settlement with the oversight office and the SEC in an agreement to make top-to-bottom changes in its accounting procedures to avoid future accounting scandals.

The SEC accused Fannie Mae under Raines' leadership of misstating earnings for three and a half years, leading to an estimated $9 billion earnings restatement that wiped out 40 percent of Fannie Mae's profits from 2001 to 2004, according to Business Week.

Central to the Raines accounting scandal was a strategy to "cook the books" of Fannie Mae to show the type of earnings that would trigger hundreds of millions of bonuses to Raines and other key Fannie Mae executives.

When the scandal surfaced, Raines resigned from Fannie Mae in December 2004 with a $19 million severance package.

Fannie Mae accounting manager Roger Barnes charged that the mortgage giant had been manipulating its earnings through "cookie jar" accounting to justify payment of hundreds of millions of dollars in bonuses to top executives.

In his 26-page testimony before the oversight office, Barnes detailed multiple Fannie Mae deviations from generally accepted accounting practices and his repeated efforts to bring the irregularities to a wide range of Fannie Mae managers and executives, all without positive result.

Barnes said he left Fannie Mae in October 2003 because he felt "forced out" once Fannie Mae excluded him from working on the office's investigation.

"As a result of Fannie Mae's refusals to take the concerns I had raised about financial and accounting practices seriously, and the retaliation I faced for raising these concerns, I had no choice to but to separate from the Company in October 2003," Barnes said on page 25 of his written October 6, 2004, testimony to the Subcommittee on Capital Markets, Insurance and Government Sponsored Enterprises of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Financial Services.

Still, the office's report on the Raines scandal cited Barnes 34 times in the first 80 pages of the 200-page document.

Barnes, an African-American, reportedly received a $1 million settlement after threatening a whistleblower lawsuit charging racial discrimination, according to USA Today.

Subprime housing

WND also reported that despite having served as Fannie Mae chief executive officer, Raines was named in a housing scandal as one of the "Friends of Anthony" in a low-income-mortgage deal arranged by Anthony Mozilo, the former chief executive of the now-bankrupt subprime-mortgage broker Countrywide Financial Corp.

Raines was also a repeat customer at Countrywide while he was Fannie Mae chief executive, receiving four home loans between 1999 and 2003 totaling nearly $4 million.

One of Raines' properties included a 98-year-old seven-bedroom stucco colonial with a pool, a movie theater and a shared tennis court, overlooking a national park.

Obama's Character Described 2,500 Years Ago by Aesop
A Dog in the Manger Presidency
By Kelly O'Connell Sunday, June 20, 2010
Is it possible to base an entire presidency on venal acts of jealousy and illicit confiscation ? This essay argues such is currently the case. If one accepts that Obama has socialist/Marxist values, then he seeks, by definition, an economy based upon a shattering of the 10th Commandment… “Thous Shalt Not Covet Thy Neighbor’s House….” But the Greek pagan moralist writer Aesop had Obama’s character pegged in his Dog in the Manger fable 2,500 years ago.

If you run a campaign on the argument you are an unprecedented natural-born leader, despite utter inexperience—can you afford to let anyone else outshine you? The notion that an exemplar, par excellence, will fall full-born, like Athena from the head of Zeus is appealing. This concept is seductive probably for the same reason Jesus has unmitigated attraction to this day: A young man who has never sinned arises to lead His people to the promised land of enlightenment and salvation.

Obama: Promised Messiah, Or Barnyard Pooch?
Question: Could Barry O still be savior of the world? The project of turning Barack Obama into a Jesus-like Messiah presents an impassable gulf. First, Jesus was an ultra-pure idealist teaching His followers they should so closely follow His Father’s Word that earth would be turned into God’s Kingdom. But Obama merely riffs upon vague, pleasant-sounding generalities, “hope,” “change,” et al, while using these empty phrases as an excuse to launch innumerable elaborate Chicago-styled scams. Second, Jesus spent an apparent 3 decades studying the Tanakh, aka Old Testament, and quite probably memorized the whole, based upon His peerless knowledge and ability to improvise off the cuff. Yet, Barack seems relatively untutored in any subject, but especially biblical traditions. Third, Obama seems positively Pharisaical, being a holier-than-thou, smug, sanctimonious, hypocritical finger pointer who positively scoffs at unenlightened non-liberals. Ironically, these were exactly the types Christ most harshly condemned. And it was the Pharisees who finally had him eliminated because His purity was a constant remonstrance against their greed, arrogance and corruption.

In fact, the ancient personality Barack most resembles is not Jesus, but the Dog in the Manger—a fable by the Greek Aesop. It is the story of moral failure born by incompetence and jealousy. The fable is as follows:

A Dog looking out for its afternoon nap jumped into the Manger of an Ox and lay there cosily upon the straw. But soon the Ox, returning from its afternoon work, came up to the Manger and wanted to eat some of the straw. The Dog in a rage, being awakened from its slumber, stood up and barked at the Ox, and whenever it came near attempted to bite it. At last the Ox had to give up the hope of getting at the straw, and went away muttering:

Ah, people often grudge others what they cannot enjoy themselves

A Dog in the Manger Presidency
Obama transparently fails as a leader in several remarkable ways. First, he lacks leadership ability by any traditional criteria. Second, the leadership that he has imparted has roundly failed by objective consensus. Third, he attacks the genuine acts of leadership by others as if they were a krypton stake ready to be plunged into his abdomen. Obama has the crafty and evasive character of a natural-born fraud. The fake is always the enemy of the real, and will battle to destroy the actual—regardless of the costs to others.

Attacks Upon True Leadership:
An instance of Dog in the Manger assault occurred when the US Coast Guard stopped Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal from running barges with water vacuums sucking up oil. This was another in a list of shutdowns Obama threw at Jindal. He also stopped him from erecting barrier islands to sop up the oil, which supposedly must be vetted for “environmental impact.” (analogy: testing a hangman’s noose to make sure it doesn’t cause excessive rope-burn). Here is a classic example of Barack “Manger Dog” Obama stymieing a real leader from doing something proactive, clever and effective to help his state.

Other examples include Barack refusing aid from thirteen European nations within days after the Gulf oil leak. For instance, the Dutch offered four skimmers that could have taken 20,000 gallons of oil out of the water a day. And the British offered chemical oil dispersant, which Obama refused on the spot. The UK Times reported on this: “Top officials in the British Cabinet offered assistance to help clean up the oil spill a few days after the explosion. The Obama Administration turned them down because they did not have the correct paperwork.” These types of reports sicken the spirit and make clear that Obama not only refused to lead, but even blockaded the help from others.

Obama has an inability to accept any help that would make him look weak, derivative, or not the source of all earthly good. What possible reason could Barack have for refusing assistance other than personal vanity or the aggrandizement of power?

In fact, Foreign Policy magazine had this to say about the foreign offers to help the US:

Late Wednesday evening, the State Department emailed reporters identifying the 13 entities that had offered the U.S. oil spill assistance. They were the governments of Canada, Croatia, France, Germany, Ireland, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Republic of Korea, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United Nations.

“These offers include experts in various aspects of oil spill impacts, research and technical expertise, booms, chemical oil dispersants, oil pumps, skimmers, and wildlife treatment,” the email read.

“While there is no need right now that the U.S. cannot meet, the U.S. Coast Guard is assessing these offers of assistance to see if there will be something which we will need in the near future.”

Failed Leadership Instances
There are several different species of failed leadership. One type is to direct followers into an undertaking that is ill-advised or doomed. The second type is leadership that seems to bring the followers into a successful course but which later collapses. An obvious example is when Obama smugly gave fellow Democrat candidates his blessing and campaigned for them, only to watch them fail in their races, as happened to Jon Corzine, Creigh Deeds, and Martha Coakley.

On a deeper level, one can argue that all of Obama’s completed tasks are failures on a timed-release schedule. For example, his near-trillion-dollar Stimulus bill is already reckoned an utter failure for what it was designed to do—creating quality, longterm jobs. And as these funds go down the toilet with all the interest payments as well, so do many wonderful options which this massive amount of cash could have been spent upon. For a trillion dollars, we could have funded: half the Obamacare costs for a decade; a national high-speed rail; wind farms across America; a slashing of income tax for a year to reboot the economy; a rebuilt NASA; etc etc etc

Obamacare will be an open ulcerated sore on the American economy for all its years until it is (hopefully) repealed. Studies have already come out revealing half US employees will shortly be on Obamacare, that the costs will be much higher than the WH advertised, and that the negative unintended consequences will be massive. Likewise, Obama’s unnerving habit of proposing spending to answer all problems—even the growing deficit, is producing toxic fruit, to say the least.

In foreign policy, Obama’s instinctual and frankly bizarre habit of bowing to alien potentates, apologizing to despots, and giving aid and comfort to enemies while punishing our allies enrages US patriots. In general, the combination of Obama’s trite rhetoric in concert with a toothless response to bad players has opened the floodgates on evil deeds. But imagine how our situation might be different today, for example, if Obama had merely supported the Iranian election uprising, instead of pretending this spontaneous mass demand for real democracy was lawlessness. We might not be trying to sanction Iran for their nuclear weapons program today! Talk about feckless.

Here is the UK Telegraph’s Nile Gardener’s list of Obama’s Top Ten Foreign Policy Blunders:

Surrendering to Russia over Missile Defence;
Appeasing the Mullahs of Iran;
Ending the War on Terror;
Announcing a Surge while Declaring an Exit;
Apologising to France for America‚Äôs “Arrogance”;
Giving DVDs to the British Prime Minister;
Siding with Marxists in Honduras;
Bowing to Emperors and Kings;
Embracing Genocidal Killers in Sudan;
Throwing Churchill out of The White House.
An Incipient Failure of Leadership Ability
If one is a socialist or Marxist, who then are your role models? Much like a photo-negative of normally successful people, Marxism dotes upon failures, ne’er-do-wells and hopeless rebels. Such misfits are heroes, and such people collapse when placed upon the greatest pinnacles of success, like a presidency. It should surprise no one the socialist idea of leadership is merely contained to speechifying and making insulting and critical comments about those whom the tyrant despises.

Lenin’s absurd statement: “Any cook should be able to run the country,” shows the utter contempt that Marxists have for the nuances of democracy and capitalism. Does Obama share this absurdly condescending opinion of Western leadership? The shattering lack of real world knowledge, training, or responsibility for the consequences of decisions the “leader” makes is a recurring theme in communist dictators who believed they will recreate humanity itself upon their own image.

Why Did Obama Turn Down Gulf Oil Spill Help?
Why did Obama turn down help from those offering it who had the most experience with oil catastrophes, especially when he and his team have none? Further, why does he block those leaders, such as Governor Jindal who are making sound decisions to lessen the impact of the crisis on their states? Really, only two reasons make any sense: Either Obama is completely intimidated and angered by real leaders making good choices on his watch, while he himself fearfully sits on his hands. Or, he is trying to magnify the impact of the disaster to meet his own goals of aggrandizing power, as regards stopping more oil exploration or passing Global Warming and Cap’n Trade initiatives. Also, it has been reported that Obama simply would not harm the unions by breaking the Jones Act, regardless of the costs to American wetlands, fishing fleets, and tourist resorts. Or as Rahm Emanuel says, ... “never let a crisis go to waste.”

In terms of a natural ability to inspire and direct—could Barack Obama even lead Mama Cass to a Burger King? Obama is reminiscent of the lead character in the movie The Ladykillers—the pretentious Prof. Goldthwait Higgins Dorr, PhD., played by Tom Hanks. The Professor assembles a group of criminal misfits to rob a riverboat casino, but fails spectacularly. Here, Obama is the pompous professor full of ridiculous verbosity, while the criminal gang boasts David Axelgrease, Rahm “Beau” Emanuel, and other dishonest buffoons. At least in the movie, each gets the comeuppance he richly deserves.

Has Obama permanently lost his mojo over his misplayed response to the Gulf oil spill? Has the Theater of the Absurd now cast him as a full-fledged, emasculated castrati, doomed to warble his last few year’s speeches in a permanently high-pitched voice, like a Flaccido Domingo? In any event, fate or something approximating it, has conspired to unveil the full-bloomed imbecility of the former Messiah’s White House. His political suicide impulse seems to have kicked into overdrive, and we can only hope he will leave willingly, and without a peep when his first term thankfully comes to a whimpering conclusion.

And the list grows.....and grows.......and grows....still no answer

Hawaii state Sen. Will Espero

Hawaii state Sen. Will Espero, a Democrat, has suggested that legislation could be adopted to release Obama's birth records and satisfy critics.

While Espero said he believes Obama was born in Hawaii, he explained, "My decision to file the legislation was primarily a result of the fuss over President Obama's birth records and the lingering questions," Espero said.

Oklahoma state Rep. Mike Ritze

Oklahoma state Rep. Mike Ritze sponsored a proposal to demand eligibility documentation from candidates for political office, including the president. Ritze, who says he regularly gets questions from his constituents about Obama's eligibility, said an "ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" on the issues of candidate qualifications and eligibility.

U.S. Rep. Bill Posey, R-Fla.

In March 2009, Rep. Bill Posey, R-Fla., proposed H.R. 1503, known as the Presidential Eligibility Act. It is still pending in a House committee and has nearly a dozen co-sponsors, including Reps. Dan Burton, R-Ind.; Ted Poe, R-Texas; Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn.; John Campbell, R-Calif.; John R. Carter, R-Texas; John Culberson, R-Texas; Bob Goodlatte, R-Va.; Randy Neugebauer, R-Texas; Trent Franks, R-Ariz.; Louie Gohmert, R-Texas; and Kenny Marchant, R-Texas.

The measure seeks to "amend the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971 to require the principal campaign committee of a candidate for election to the office of President to include with the committee's statement of organization a copy of the candidate's birth certificate … to establish that the candidate meets the qualifications for eligibility to the Office of President under the Constitution."

Arizona state Sen. Sylvia Allen

Arizona state Sen. Sylvia Allen, R-Snowflake, said the controversy over Obama and his birth certificate has raised questions.

"It just makes sense and will stop any controversy in the future to just show you are a natural born citizen," she told the Arizona Capitol Times.

Arizona state Rep. Judy Burges

Arizona state Rep. Judy Burges, R-Skull Valley, told WND she has been getting questions from other states about H. 2442, a proposal she sponsored to require future presidential candidates to show they are qualified under the U.S. Constitution's demand for a "natural born citizen." The bill is co-sponsored by some three dozen lawmakers who also want state officials to independently verify the accuracy of documentation.

U.S. Rep. Nathan Deal, R-Ga.

Rep. Nathan Deal, R-Ga., sent a Dec. 10 letter to the White House formally requesting that President Obama address questions about his place of birth – and thus, whether he is qualified to be president. Deal, who is running for governor, said several months ago he would ask Obama to prove his eligibility.

"I have looked at the documentation that is publicly available, and it leaves many things to be desired," Deal said in November.

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin

Even Sarah Palin, former vice-presidential candidate and best-selling author, affirmed that questions about Barack Obama's eligibility for office are legitimate.

"I think it's a fair question, just like I think past association and past voting records – all of that is fair game," Palin said. "The McCain-Palin campaign didn't do a good enough job in that area."

Former House majority leader Tom DeLay

In October, former House majority leader Tom DeLay offered his views on Obama's birth, saying, "Why wouldn't the president of the United States show the American people his birth certificate? You have to show a birth certificate to play Little League baseball. It's a question that should be answered. It's in the Constitution that you have to be a natural born citizen of the United States to be president."

U.S. Rep. Roy Blunt, R-Mo.

Asked whether he believes Obama is eligible to be president, U.S. Rep. Roy Blunt, R-Mo., said, "What I don't know is why the president cannot produce a birth certificate. I don't know anyone else who can't produce one. I think that's a legitimate question."

U.S. Rep. Trent Franks, R-Ariz.

U.S. Rep. Trent Franks, R-Ariz., said he believes Obama was born in the U.S., but he also said he thinks the president is trying to hide something:

"I believe he's a natural born citizen of the United States. Therefore, even if he acts un-American and seems to go against American interests, he's still an American-born citizen," he said. "All that being said, probably Barack Obama could solve this problem and make the birthers back off by simply showing ... his long form birth certificate."

Because that isn't happening, "There's some other issue there."

"I don't know what it is that he doesn't want people to see the birth certificate. I don't think it has to do with his natural-born citizenship," Franks continued. "He's spent an awful lot of money to keep people from seeing the birth certificate. ... I think it has to do with something else."

Feminist icon Camille Paglia

Even feminist icon Camille Paglia, a columnist who earlier wrote about the ambiguities of President Barack Obama's birth certificate, told a National Public Radio audience that those who have questions about his eligibility actually have a point. "Yes, there were ambiguities about Obama's birth certificate that have never been satisfactorily resolved. And the embargo on Obama's educational records remains troubling," she wrote.

New Hampshire State Rep. Laurence Rappaport

In September, New Hampshire State Rep. Laurence Rappaport, R-Colebrook, said he was tired of telling his constituents that he's not sure of Obama's eligibility to serve as president. He met with New Hampshire's secretary of state, William Gardner, who oversees the state's elections, to demand answers.

"Regardless of where he was born, is he a natural born citizen as required by the Constitution? I don't know the answer to that," Rappaport said. "My understanding is that … a natural born citizen had to be someone with two American parents. If that's true, his father was a Kenyan and therefore a British subject at the time. Then there's the issue: if he was born out of the country, was his mother old enough at the time to confer citizenship?

"I expect somebody to come up with the legal answers to this," Rappaport told WND, "and so far that hasn't happened."

Tell them Ann

Alvin Greene: The Most Qualified Democrat I Have Ever Seen
by Ann Coulter

Democrats have decided that Alvin Greene's surprise victory in the South Carolina Democratic senatorial primary must be the result of a Republican dirty trick.

Greene beat Vic Rawl, a former state representative and judge, with a whopping 60 percent of the vote in last Tuesday's primary, despite Greene's having no job, no house, no campaign website, no campaign headquarters -- indeed, no campaign. Other than paying the $10,000 filing fee, Greene seems to have put no effort into the race whatsoever.

But he does have one thing Rawl doesn't have: In the grand tradition of legendary Democrats such as Teddy Kennedy, Greene has a felony arrest. (Greene's inexperience really shows here: Democrats usually wait until after they're elected to show pornography to college girls.)

So this is not good for the Democrats. Naturally, therefore, they're blaming Republicans.

Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C., has demanded that the U.S. attorney investigate, ominously suggesting that Greene may be a Republican plant. Clyburn is the third-ranking Democrat in the House.

MSNBC's Keith Olbermann interviewed Greene as if he had Lee Harvey Oswald in the dock. Chris Matthews asked guests: "Do you think this has the look of a dirty trick -- sort of a Watergate number?" Watergate, you'll recall, involved the Nixon White House trying to persuade a mildly retarded black man to run for the Senate.

Obama senior adviser David Axelrod said Greene was not a "legitimate" candidate and called his victory "a mysterious deal." (Yes, how could a young African-American man with strange origins, suspicious funding, shady associations, no experience, no qualifications, and no demonstrable work history come out of nowhere and win an election?)

They're hopping mad, these liberals, but it's not clear what their theory of the crime is. Before accusing Republicans of committing a dirty trick, apparently no one asked the question: "OK, but what was the trick?"

The key to Greene's victory, you see, is that he got more votes. How do liberals imagine Republicans pulled that off? Mesmerize the Democrats into voting for an idiot? If they could do that, John McCain would be president.

There is zero possibility that Republicans skipped their own primary to vote for Greene in the Democratic primary. The marquee South Carolina election in last Tuesday's primary was the four-candidate, mudslinging Republican gubernatorial primary. That one was so heated, it's still to be decided in a runoff next week.

Even Sarah Palin got involved in the race, endorsing Nikki Haley (though not endorsing anyone in the Nevada primary, as I incorrectly gave her credit for in last week's column).

Not surprisingly, more than twice as many South Carolinians voted in the Republican primary (424,893) as voted in the Democratic primary (197,380). Not only that, but a higher percentage of Republican primary voters chose a candidate for Senate (97.12 percent) than did the Democratic primary voters (86.24 percent).

Perhaps realizing this, liberal loons (Keith Olbermann) are now pushing the theory that Republicans somehow ... rigged the voting machines! (This is what happens when you know absolutely nothing about politics but are given a TV show.)

I promise you, if Republicans could have rigged any voting machines, they would have made sure Nikki Haley won by 51 percent, instead of 49 percent, to avoid next week's runoff.

The only thing a Republican could possibly have done is pay Greene's filing fee. It's likely that someone paid his filing fee, inasmuch as Greene doesn't appear to have enough money to buy a sandwich.

But anyone could have paid it -- ACORN, a community organizer, a stimulus grantor, Betty White. If a Republican paid the $10,000 filing fee, why not give Greene another hundred bucks for a campaign website? Or how about making it $150, so Greene could buy a new suit?

But, for the sake of argument, let's say a Republican paid Greene's filing fee. Even the worst-case scenario is still not half as bad as what liberals did to Sen. Patrick Leahy's Republican opponent in 1998. To the delight of the media, liberals ran a simpleton dairy farmer, Fred Tuttle, in the Republican primary that year against a millionaire lawyer, Jack McMullen.

As in the South Carolina race, the serious candidate, McMullen, spent far more than the prank candidate -- by about $300,000 to $200.

And as with Greene, Tuttle was a feeble-minded everyman. He had starred in a movie, "Man With a Plan," made by his Harvard-graduate neighbor, about a cornball farmer who runs for Congress. Having "Fred" actually run for the Senate was openly described as a publicity stunt.

Fred won the primary and promptly endorsed Leahy.

The media lavished praise on the "gentlemanly" Senate race, with The Associated Press calling it a "calm, folksy Senate campaign." Reporters think there's too much "mudslinging" when the Republican candidate doesn't immediately endorse the Democrat.

The movie starring Fred was run on PBS, sponsored by Ben & Jerry's ice cream, and Fred -- the winsome simpleton -- was fawned over throughout the media. (CBS' Bill Geist to Tuttle: "Are you a sex symbol?")

That's a far cry from how reporters are treating poor Alvin Greene:

CNN anchor Don Lemon: You're mentally sound, physically sound? You're not impaired by anything at this moment?

Greene: No. Just -- I'm OK.

Lemon: No, just what?

Greene: I'm OK.

Lemon: Quite honestly, you don't sound OK. Are you impaired by anything right now?

Greene: No.

I suppose you could say the Republican primary in Vermont was irrelevant anyway since Sen. Leahy was a shoo-in for re-election.

But so is Jim DeMint, Alvin Greene's current opponent. Leahy won his prior election, in 1992, 54.2 percent to 43.3 percent. Jim DeMint won his last election, 53.7 percent to 44.1 percent.

And Alvin Greene is clearly more qualified to be a senator than Patrick Leahy.

Worse than the destruction of Hurricane Katrina, the election of Obama!

BREAKING: Leaked Doc Proves Spain’s ‘Green’ Policies — the Basis for Obama’s — an Economic Disaster (PJM Exclusive)

PJM has received a leaked internal document confirming Spain realizes its green failures, just as Obama pushes the American Power Act based on Spain's program. (Click here for the original Spanish document. An English translation is provided in this article.)

May 18, 2010- by Christopher HornerShare | Page 1 of 2 Next -> View as Single PagePajamas Media has received a leaked internal assessment produced by Spain’s Zapatero administration. The assessment confirms the key charges previously made by non-governmental Spanish experts in a damning report exposing the catastrophic economic failure of Spain’s “green economy” initiatives.

On eight separate occasions, President Barack Obama has referred to the “green economy” policies enacted by Spain as being the model for what he envisioned for America.

Later came the revelation that Obama administration senior Energy Department official Cathy Zoi — someone with serious publicized conflict of interest issues — demanded an urgent U.S. response to the damaging report from the non-governmental Spanish experts so as to protect the Obama administration’s plans.

Most recently, U.S. senators have introduced the vehicle for replicating Spain’s unfolding economic meltdown here, in the form of the “American Power Act.” For reasons that are obvious upon scrutiny, it should instead be called the American Power Grab Act.

But today’s leaked document reveals that even the socialist Spanish government now acknowledges the ruinous effects of green economic policy.

Unsurprisingly for a governmental take on a flagship program, the report takes pains to minimize the extent of the economic harm. Yet despite the soft-pedaling, the document reveals exactly why electricity rates “necessarily skyrocketed” in Spain, as did the public debt needed to underwrite the disaster. This internal assessment preceded the Zapatero administration’s recent acknowledgement that the “green economy” stunt must be abandoned, lest the experiment risk Spain becoming Greece.

The government report does not expressly confirm the highest-profile finding of the non-governmental report: that Spain’s “green economy” program cost the country 2.2 jobs for every job “created” by the state. However, the figures published in the government document indicate they arrived at a job-loss number even worse than the 2.2 figure from the independent study.

This document is not a public report. Spanish media has referred to its existence in recent weeks though, while Bloomberg and the Washington Examiner have noted the impact: Spain is now forced to jettison its plans — Obama’s model — for a “green economy.”

Remarkably, these items have received virtually no media attention.

An item which has been covered widely, however, is that President Obama is now pressuring Spain to turn off its spigot of public debt in the name of averting a situation similar to that of Greece.

Also covered widely is Obama’s promotion of the American Power Act — the legislation which would replicate Spain’s current situation in the United States.

Put simply, Obama is currently promoting a policy in the U.S. which is based on a policy that he wishes to see Spain abandon. Welcome to Obamaland, the particulars of which are explained in a fashion grandly more illuminating than this Obama-Zapatero dance in Power Grab: How Obama’s Green Policies Will Steal Your Freedom and Bankrupt America

Kenyan churches blame gov't for blasts at rally
By TOM ODULA and TOM MALITI (AP) – 22 hours ago

NAIROBI, Kenya — The National Council of Churches accused Kenya's government on Monday of involvement in a grenade attack on a rally against a draft constitution that would allow abortions in life-threatening pregnancies and recognize Islamic courts.

The accusation over Sunday evening's attack, which killed six people, could set a contentious tone between the groups supporting and opposing the draft constitution, which the country votes on Aug. 4. Political analysts said leaders of the groups needed to tamp down emotions or violence could flare.

The August referendum will be the first nationwide vote since Kenya's 2007 presidential election, which saw more than 1,000 people killed following days of rampaging violence after the contentious vote.

Political leaders on Monday tried to separate the blasts, which the police said were caused by grenades, from the political issues around the referendum. Prime Minister Raila Odinga said the attack was an "isolated case." But the National Council of Churches blamed the attack on the government and supporters of the draft constitution.

"Having been informed over and over that the passage of the new constitution during the referendum is a government project, we are left in no doubt that the government, either directly or indirectly, had a hand in this attack. Who else in this country holds explosive devices?" said a statement by the council and 14 other churches and groups.

President Mwai Kibaki said in a statement that Kenyans need to "embrace tolerance and accommodation, regardless of each other's views." The government appealed for calm and to avoid speculation on the attacks.

Kenya's president and prime minister support the new constitution, and U.S. Vice President Joe Biden urged Kenyans to embrace constitutional reform during a speech here last week. But prominent politicians and Kenya's church leaders want the draft defeated because of allowances for abortion and Islamic courts that deal with family matters, issues opposed by conservative U.S. groups.

June 14, 2010 MALKIN DIGS HIMSELF A DEEPER HOLE Catholic League president Bill Donohue responds to a statement released on June 11 by the owner of the Empire State Building, Anthony Malkin: Malkin says his decision not to honor Mother Teresa is "final and irrevocable." That's fine. My decision to hold a street demonstration in front of his building on August 26 is also final and irrevocable. We will make sure that his place in history is secure. Malkin is now threatening not to light the towers for Hanukkah and Christmas, blaming me for his position. Like the proverbial brat who didn't get his way and walks away with his ball, Malkin is digging himself a deeper hole by the minute. "The unintended consequences of focusing on religion may drive us to reconsider those traditional lightings we have maintained over the years," he says. He adds that his decision not to honor Mother Teresa is not a "slight." In fact, he says, "only Mr. Donohue for his own platform has chosen to make it one." Malkin said no to the U.S. Marines in 2008, and said yes to honoring the murderous Chinese Communist regime in 2009. He loves to give his money, via his foundation, to support abortion and euthanasia, and in 2010 turned down Mother Teresa. The picture that is emerging is not a pretty sight. Let him dim the lights on Hanukkah and Christmas˜it's what he really wanted to do from the get-go. The more people understand what makes him tick, the better. And if he thinks that I'm the only one taking exception to his decision to stiff Mother Teresa, then let him try taking a stroll down 34th Street on the evening of August 26. Share Comments 880 Orange Beach, Alabama -- While President Obama insists that the federal government is firmly in control of the response to BP's spill in the Gulf, people in coastal communities where I visited last week in Louisiana and Alabama know an inconvenient truth: BP -- not our president -- controls the response. In fact, people on the ground say things are out of control in the gulf.

Even worse, as my latest week of adventures illustrate, BP is using federal agencies to shield itself from public accountability.

For example, while flying on a small plane from New Orleans to Orange Beach, the pilot suddenly exclaimed, "Look at that!" The thin red line marking the federal flight restrictions of 3,000 feet over the oiled Gulf region had just jumped to include the coastal barrier islands off Alabama.

"There's only one reason for that," the pilot said. "BP doesn't want the media taking pictures of oil on the beaches. You should see the oil that's about six miles off the coast," he said grimly. We looked down at the wavy orange boom surrounding the islands below us. The pilot shook his head. "There's no way those booms are going to stop what's offshore from hitting those beaches."

BP knows this as well -- boom can only deflect oil under the calmest of sea conditions, not barricade it -- so they have stepped up their already aggressive effort to control what the public sees.

At the same time I was en route to Orange Beach, Clint Guidry with the Louisiana Shrimp Association and Dean Blanchard, who owns the largest shrimp processor in Louisiana, were in Grand Isle taking Anderson Cooper out in a small boat to see the oiled beaches. The U.S. Coast Guard held up the boat for 20 minutes - an intimidation tactic intended to stop the cameras from recording BP's damage. Luckily for Cooper and the viewing public, Dean Blanchard is not easily intimidated.

A few days later, the jig was up with the booms. Oil was making landfall in four states and even BP can't be everywhere at once. CBS 60 Minutes Australia found entire sections of boom hung up in marsh grasses two feet above the water off Venice. On the same day on the other side of Barataria Bay, Louisiana Bayoukeeper documented pools of oil and oiled pelicans inside the boom - on the supposedly protected landward side - of Queen Bess Island off Grand Isle.

With oil undisputedly hitting the beaches and the number of dead wildlife mounting, BP is switching tactics. In Orange Beach, people told me BP wouldn't let them collect carcasses. Instead, the company was raking up carcasses of oiled seabirds. "The heads separate from the bodies," one upset resident told me. "There's no way those birds are going to be autopsied. BP is destroying evidence!"

The body count of affected wildlife is crucial to prove the harm caused by the spill, and also serves as an invaluable tool to evaluate damages to public property - the dolphins, sea turtles, whales, sea birds, fish, and more, that are owned by the American public. Disappeared body counts means disappeared damages - and disappeared liability for BP. BP should not be collecting carcasses. The job should be given to NOAA, a federal agency, and volunteers, as was done during the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska.

NOAA should also be conducting carcass drift studies. Only one percent of the dead sea birds made landfall in the Gulf of Alaska, for example. That means for every one bird that was found, another 99 were carried out to sea by currents. Further, NOAA should be conducting aerial surveys to look for carcasses in the offshore rips where the currents converge. That's where the carcasses will pile up--a fact we learned during the Exxon Valdez spill. Maybe that's another reason for BP's "no camera" policy and the flight restrictions.

On Saturday June 12, people across America will stand up and speak out with one voice to protest BP's treatment of the Gulf, neglect for the response workers, and their response to government authority. President Obama needs to hear and see the people waving cameras and respirators. Until the media is allowed unrestricted access to the Gulf and impacted beaches, BP - not the President of United States - will remain in charge of the Gulf response.

(This inept President is in over his Big Fat Head, and he and his socialistic cabinet has not idea of what to do. Do you mean to tell me that they build these rigs without a shut off valve? Even our houses have a main shut off valve for the water, and a main power shut off at the main fuse box. Obama's reply will be more rhetoric speeches like the lies he spoke of while running for office. If this were President bush, they would be calling for the "Tar and Feather brigade" and to run him out of Washington DC. But the "Messiah can do no wrong for the mass media".)

Ache-corn the left arm of the Democratic Liberals!

From the Desk of Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton:

“ACORN HQ is wkg (working) for the Democratic Party”

This was just one of many shocking statements made to federal investigators by witnesses, including campaign workers for Project Vote, an ACORN affiliate, according to documents we obtained recently from the FBI.

The documents relate to the 2007 federal investigation and arrest of eight St. Louis, Missouri, ACORN workers for violation of election laws and voter fraud. They include handwritten notes from FBI investigators interviewing, among others, canvassers working with Project Vote, which, as we now know, is virtually indistinguishable from ACORN. Here are the “highlights” from the FBI handwritten notes:

[ACORN] Told employees not to talk to the FBI. “FBI trying to intimidate you”
Fraudulent cards:
To cause confusion on election day to keep polls open longer
To allow people who can’t vote to vote.
To allow to vote multiple times.
Project Vote will pay them whether cards fake or not — whatever they had to do to get the cards was attitude.
Constantly threatened staff instructed on what to say to FBI
“Poverty pimpin” (sic) ACORN
ACORN HQ is wkg for the Democratic Party.
PV [Project Vote] pays ACORN $6.00 per card…Said “You treat the cards like (cash) $”
Some [names] went right from the phone book and made up the rest.
Canvassers: homeless, volatile, drug users, drunks…
Anyone who was against PV (Project Vote) or ACORN’s goals “right wing”
She thought if she used a completely fake name it would be less like ID theft…“Yeah, it’s against the law, I know.”
In addition to the handwritten notes, the documents also include copies of the arrest warrants, criminal case cover sheets and court documents. In April 2008, by the way, all eight ACORN employees involved in the scandal pled guilty to voter registration fraud.

Illinois Spends $55 Mil To Insure Illegal Immigrants
Guantanamo’s $500 Million Renovation
Senators Get Donor $8 Million Earmark
Sanctuary Policy Leads To Woman's Murder
National Security Agencies Fail To Protect U.S.
Senate Panel Clears Judge Who Protects Child Sex Offenders
Internet, Bingo, Art Classes For Jailed Illegal Immigrants
Court Upholds Day Laborer Law
As you may recall, in March 2010, Judicial Watch obtained a separate batch of FBI documents detailing federal investigations into alleged ACORN corruption and voter registration fraud in Connecticut prior to the 2008 presidential election. The FBI and Department of Justice initiated investigations. And the story was much the same in Connecticut as it was in Missouri. However, in the case of Connecticut, the Obama Justice Department, while noting that ACORN had engaged in “questionable hiring and training practices,” closed down the investigation in March 2009 claiming ACORN broke no laws.

Despite disinformation to the contrary, ACORN isn’t going away. A report on a new book suggests that ACORN will lie low until after the November elections and come back under another name. Its leadership is unapologetic about its proven corruption.

These documents clearly demonstrate the need for a national criminal investigation by the Obama Justice Department into ACORN. And so we have to wonder: Is Attorney General Holder doing nothing because of Obama’s close connections to ACORN and Project Vote? Read these documents and tell me, what other explanation can there possibly be for the scandalous inaction?

(The only way to learn the Truth, is to vote out the Democraps in November,
never forget what they have done to America with Obama in the White House)

What now Mrs Pewlousy, get your hearing checked?

More Trouble for Pelosi: Judicial Watch Obtains New CIA Documents Regarding Congressional Briefings on Enhanced Interrogation Techniques

Late last Friday, Judicial Watch received 504 pages of declassified “Top Secret” CIA memoranda detailing congressional notifications and briefings on enhanced interrogation techniques (EITs) and detention operations. Judicial Watch got its hands on the documents thanks to a court order stipulating that all CIA documents related to EIT briefings for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other members of Congress be turned over to JW by April 15th. (Better late than never.)

Our investigations team is still reviewing the documents but here are a couple of highlights we have uncovered so far.

First, I want to call your attention to a “Classified Statement for the Record” by General Michael Hayden, then-Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, to the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence on April 12, 2007:

At the entrance to an office in CIA’s Counterterrorism Center is a sign and a reminder: “Today’s date is September 12, 2001.” We make no apologies for this attitude or for the lawful and legitimate actions we have taken to counter al-Qa’ida. And let me be clear, our enemy is still potent and able to attack us here and overseas…

…Al-Qa-ida’s only obstacle to attacking us again is our continued assertive effort to stop them. CIA’s detention and interrogation program remains critical to our ability to sustain this effort and protect the American people from another attack. As the President stated in his 6 September 2006 speech to the nation on “The Creation of Military Commissions to Try Suspected Terrorists,” “…the most important source of information on where the terrorists are hiding and what they are planning is the terrorists, themselves.”

This squares with other documents we previously received from the CIA, including a June 1, 2005, CIA report entitled, “Detainee Reporting Pivotal for the War against Al-Qa’ida,” which stated: “Detainee reporting accounts for more than half of all HUMINT [Human Intelligence] reporting on al-Qa'ida since the program began…” This fact was omitted by later versions of the report for some reason. However, all versions of the report concluded: “One of the gains to detaining the additional terrorists has been the thwarting of a number of al-Qa'ida operations in the United States and overseas.”

In other words, the consensus among intelligence officials seems to be that EITs work. And one of the nation’s top intelligence official says we’re more susceptible to attack. Hayden concludes his testimony with the warning that not having the ability to use enhanced interrogation techniques would allow terrorists to “withhold critical, time-sensitive, actionable intelligence that could prevent an imminent, catastrophic attack. In essence, we could be back to a pre-9/11 posture.”

Thanks to President Obama’s banning of enhanced interrogation techniques, that’s where our nation is today — at increased risk of a catastrophic terrorist attack.

Now to the question everyone has been asking, what did House Speaker Nancy Pelosi know regarding the use of EITs and when did she know it? You may recall that Pelosi admitted she was briefed by the CIA in 2002, but denies she was ever told EITs were being used at the time.

In this most recent batch of documents, Judicial Watch obtained a never-before-released memo by the Office of Inspector General asking that very question. (In fact, the subject header for the memo reads: “Document/File Review Related to CIA Notification Meetings with Nancy Pelosi About the Use of Harsh Interrogation Techniques Against Detainees.”

Despite the provocative headline, much of the most critical information was redacted from the document. However, the memo does conclude: “…Pelosi probably was briefed twice in 2002, first in April 2002 after Abu Zubaydah’s capture and probably again in September 2002 after Agency officers began interrogating the detainee.”

And what was covered?

“During the years subsequent to [redacted] record of the briefing of Pelosi in September 2002, Directorate of Operations/National Clandestine Service (DO/NCS) officers continued to say in documents and [redacted] messages that Pelosi and others on the Intelligence Committees had been briefed or ‘fully briefed’ during September 2002.”

Now, given that Abu Zubaydah was subjected to EITs, the term “fully briefed” suggests at least that the use of EITs, including waterboarding, was included in the discussion with Pelosi.

Of course, we would have a much clearer understanding of the precise nature of the briefings were it not for the redactions. Let me show you what I mean. One section of the OIG memo states: “Regarding the content of the 4 September 2002 briefing for Pelosi, Goss, [redacted] message and cable indicated that he, Rodriguez, [redacted] provided information about [redacted].” By withholding this information, the Obama administration covers for Pelosi.

Still, the preponderance of evidence seems to support the CIA’s contention that Pelosi was made aware of the use of EITs. And that she lied about it.

New York Rep. Peter King came to the same conclusion. Congressman King told The Washington Times: “Everyone I have spoken to who were on the [House Intelligence] Committee says that she was certainly aware of what was going on.”

What a scandal it is that our nation’s Speaker of the House of Representatives, third in line for the presidency, would lie about such an important national security matter. We hope these new documents can be used to hold her to account for her big lie.

An alert from Hon. Rick Santorum

To: Faithful Catholics

From: Hon. Rick Santorum
Former U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania

Subject: Catholic Colleges Are
Undermining the Bishops

As someone who treasures our Catholic Faith, I write with great concern.

Cardinal Daniel DiNardo recently said that Catholics who lobbied for the health care reform law—ignoring the Bishops' warnings about abortion funding and weak conscience protections—had caused "confusion and a wound to Catholic unity."

And to make matters worse, among those working against the Church on pro-life health care were educators at our Catholic colleges.

And then there is this: President Obama's latest addition to the powerful Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is a same-sex marriage advocate whose concept of "sexual liberty" would trump our religious liberty.

And what were the credentials by which she was selected for this honor? Since 1991, she has been a celebrated professor at Georgetown Law Center—at a Jesuit Catholic university.

When Catholic colleges help advance the secular assault on morality and religious liberty, faithful Catholics need to stand up in defense of the Faith!

We cannot ignore the fact that certain Catholic colleges are employing and honoring dissenters who actively undermine the Church on abortion, marriage, healthcare and conscience protections.

And that is why I hope that you will click here immediately to join The Cardinal Newman Society's urgent efforts to fight for our religious liberty and demand genuine Catholic identity.

Because the stakes are high!

Chai Feldblum, the recent Georgetown law professor who is now at the EEOC, helped author the "Employment Non-Discrimination Act " (ENDA) which is before Congress. This bill could cripple Catholic schools, hospitals and other charities by forcing them to provide benefits to same-sex couples.

Feldblum joins the EEOC just as it considers an appeal by Belmont Abbey College, a faithful Catholic college in North Carolina which has been charged with discrimination for refusing to cover birth control pills in its employee health plan.

If the appeal is rejected, Belmont Abbey and other faithful Catholic colleges could be forced to close their doors rather than compromise their Catholic identity!

Finally , the truth about ACORN, surface's!

FBI Documents Show Depth of ACORN Corruptionby Capitol Confidential
“ACORN HQ is wkg [working] for the Democratic Party,” so say the newly released FBI records. The handwritten notes provide a laundry list of underhanded activities related to elections in St. Louis, Missouri, in 2007.

The documents obtained through the Freedom of Information Act by Judicial Watch, a conservative government watchdog group in Washington, DC, concern the arrests of eight workers from the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, aka ACORN, for violations of election laws and voter fraud in Missouri.

ACORN is a collection of “community organizations” purportedly promoting various social issues relevant to low-income families, and large-scale voter registration drives have been a significant aspect of that outreach since the 1980s. During the 2006 mid-term elections there were numerous reports of voter fraud on the part of ACORN’s canvassers, which led to investigations in numerous states. The 2006 federal investigation of the allegations in Missouri led to several convictions, but after a similar investigation in Connecticut was halted by the Obama Justice Department in 2009, Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information Act request to obtain the documents produced by the earlier investigation.

The result was a collection of FBI documents which included copies of arrest warrants and court documents and over one hundred pages of handwritten notes from the FBI investigators regarding the ACORN employees’ attitudes and actions.

The investigators were told that ACORN had “told employees not to talk to the FBI“, and that “anyone who was against PV (Project Vote) or ACORN’s goals [were] ‘right wing.’” The investigators noted that Project Vote paid ACORN “whether the [voter registration] cards were fake or not” and one of the employees they interviewed “said ‘You treat the cards like $ (cash).’” Despite knowing that submitting fake voter registration cards was against the law, employees detailed several methods for creating fake cards. One explained that they would get “some names…right from the phone book and made up the rest.” Another “thought if she used a completely fake name it would be less like ID theft.”

The Connecticut and Missouri investigations are not stand-alone incidents, however. ACORN has a long history of encouraging falsification of voter registration cards. Between 2004 and 2006, they had been implicated in investigations in 12 states, and in 2007 were involved in the largest instance of voter fraud in Washington state’s history. In 2009, ACORN was investigated by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee which issued an 88 page report which declared that “[t]he weight of evidence against ACORN and its affiliates is astounding.”

Astounding, indeed. These documents show the need for a national criminal investigation by the Obama Justice Department into ACORN. Is Attorney General Holder doing nothing because of Obama’s close connections to ACORN and Project Vote? The information in these new documents has national implications that cry out for further investigation,” stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

Woman's Lip, fails to deliver

Women Deliver 2 Fails to Deliver, Ends With A Whimper
By Samantha Singson

(NEW YORK – C-FAM) Three thousand abortion advocates packed into the Washington, DC Convention Center this week for the Women Deliver 2 conference, a meeting aimed at increasing funding and government accountability for maternal mortality reduction strategies, including access to "safe abortion." While organizers closed the conference amid applause and cheers from a half-empty auditorium, outcomes fell far short of the ambitious funding goals set by organizers in the months leading up to the conference.

Women Deliver brought together United Nations (UN) agencies like the UN Population Fund (UNFPA) and the World Health Organization and prominent abortion organizations like Ipas, International Planned Parenthood Federation, and Catholics for Choice, to call for an additional $12 billion USD a year in funding and to galvanize political support.

By the end of the conference the only significant new income came from the $1.5 billion USD initiative launched by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Political participation was similarly underwhelming. Unlike the original conference in London in 2007, Women Deliver 2 failed to produce a government document, though parliamentarians and government ministers were sequestered in closed-door meetings for much of the conference.

The lack of official participation from the United States was also noted by participants. In 2007, an official congressional delegation went to the London conference. This year, there was no American delegation in attendance even though the conference took place less than a mile from the US House of Representatives.

In the wake of the University of Washington study published in The Lancet in April which contradicted UN statistics and showed a significant decrease in maternal mortality, UNFPA executive director Thoraya Obaid told her staffers that the organization "must speak with one voice."

At a UNFPA staff briefing the day before the opening of the conference, Obaid circulated a briefing book of talking points to staffers which they were directed to use in speaking to the public and press during the conference. Obtained by the Friday Fax, the UNFPA briefing book downplayed the discrepancy in maternal mortality figures, taking the position that "estimates are estimates," and maintained the call for the additional $12 billion per annum in funding to "fulfill the unmet need for family planning."

Unchanged from the 2007 conference were attacks on religion, particularly the Catholic Church, and the "Religious Right" as major obstacles to the "reproductive rights" agenda. At one session, Monica Roa, the abortion activist who helped liberalize Colombia's abortion law in 2006, warned of threats posed to pending abortion litigation in the form of "well-funded" and "better educated" up-and-coming lawyers from schools like Ave Maria School of Law.

Indeed, Women Deliver 2 organizers were careful to shut down any opposition. On the last day, the National Right to Life Federation (NRTLF) stood outside the convention center handing out bags emblazoned with the slogan "Celebrate Motherhood" to conference-goers. The bags contained fetal models and information on proven maternal mortality reduction strategies. Desperate to shut out any pro-life messages, security guards and conference staffers barred the front entrance, demanded to look inside conference-goers parcels and confiscated the offending bags right out of the hands of individuals, despite objections. Stunned by the actions of the conference staff, one NRTLF volunteer rhetorically asked "Isn't this supposed to be a conference to help mothers?"

Where is the improvement ???

On Thursday June 10, 2010, 11:32 am EDT
The economic situation today is drastically worse than a couple years ago, and the euro is doomed as a concept, Nassim Taleb, professor and author of the bestselling book "The Black Swan," told CNBC on Thursday.

"We had less debt cumulatively (two years ago), and more people employed. Today, we have more risk in the system, and a smaller tax base," Taleb said.

"Banks balance sheets are just as bad as they were" two years ago when the crisis began and "the quality of the risks hasn't improved," he added.

The root of the crisis over the past couple of years wasn't recession, but debt, which has spread "like a cancer," according to Taleb, who is now relived that public attention has shifted to debt, instead of growth.

The world needs to prepare itself for austerity, he warned. "We need to slash debt. Unfortunately, that's the only solution," Taleb said.

Other analysts warned about austerity programs spreading from the euro zone to the US where the growth in debt will become unsustainable over the longer term.

Obama administration's efforts to pull the US out of recession haven't succeeded, according to Taleb. "It's not that they make mistakes, it's that they almost get nothing right." Moreover, a second major stimulus package may be futile, he warned.

"Obama promised us 8 percent unemployment through stimulus. It hasn't worked." There are significantly more liabilities in the US than in other countries around the world, he said.

"Don't give a junkie more drugs, don't give a debt junkie more debt."

Hedge Against Inflation

Investors should avoid Treasurys and other bonds and place their money in instruments that will hedge them against looming inflation.

Commodities are one place where a bull market may form over the coming years, as people try to protect their cash from price rises, famous investor Jim Rogers told CNBC earlier Thursday.

The "Black Swan" metaphor is used to describe those rare, unexpected but consequential events that people cannot predict because they view the world through a sort of tunnel vision - as something structured, ordinary, and comprehensible.

"I want to live in a society that is robust to adverse events. We don't live in that world," Taleb said.

"A bridge that's very poorly constructed will eventually break. A white swan for the butcher is a black swan for the turkey," he added. The "Black Swan" reference has become ubiquitous within popular and business culture over the past couple of years.

As recently as Wednesday, a top authority on oil reservoir management and upstream technology called the BP (London: BP-LN) oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico a "Black Swan" event that, however catastrophic, has the potential to improve drilling practices in particular and the industry in general.

Taleb expressed reservations about the future of BP, given the catastrophic fall in its market capitalization since the oil spill on April 20th.

He suggested that incentives in corporate culture are inherently flawed.

"Size is bad for companies," he said. "We shouldn't give a manager of a nuclear plant an incentive bonus. People are given bonuses to hide risk, to cut corners. The same thing happens with every large corporation. It permeates the entire economic system."

LOL This one is Classic.

Dingy Harry Reid and Liberals, still working to destroy America!

Liberals in Washington are at it again. Tell them you’ve had enough!

Senator Harry Reid recently announced that he will push Cap and Trade through the Senate this July. Democrats are now calling the bill the “Clean Energy Jobs & American Power Act.” Don’t be fooled!
Reid, you may know, has been one of AFF PAC's prime targets over the last year. We launched a site tracking his every liberal move, and we've launched ads aimed at taking him out of the Senate once and for good.
This legislation will not create jobs! In reality, the Congressional Budget Office predicts that less Americans will be able to hold down a job due to sustained lowered wages and inflation.

Tell Harry Reid and Washington liberals that you are unified AGAINST cap and trade, and the devastating effects it will have on American jobs.

Remember to mobilize voters to reject him in November.

Don’t sit by and let Reid’s liberal agenda take over our country. Fight back! No matter what they call this legislation, the fact remains that it will ruin our great country.

Forward to your friends and family – tell them stand up against cap and trade. Show Harry Reid that you’ve had enough!

They can hide, but they CAN NOT WIN IN NOVEMBER!

Published: June 6, 2010

The latest on President Obama, his administration and other news from Washington and around the nation.
Jim Prisching/Associated Press
An argument over health care legislation erupted outside a meeting in Illinois last year.
Then, he was hanged in effigy by protesters. This time, a round of applause was followed by a glass of chilled wine, a plate of crackers and crudités as he mingled with an invitation-only audience at the Point Breeze Credit Union, a vastly different scene than last year’s wide-open televised free-for-alls.

The sentiment that fueled the rage during those Congressional forums is still alive in the electorate. But the opportunities for voters to openly express their displeasure, or angrily vent as video cameras roll, have been harder to come by in this election year.

If the time-honored tradition of the political meeting is not quite dead, it seems to be teetering closer to extinction. Of the 255 Democrats who make up the majority in the House, only a handful held town-hall-style forums as legislators spent last week at home in their districts.

It was no scheduling accident.

With images of overheated, finger-waving crowds still seared into their minds from the discontent of last August, many Democrats heeded the advice of party leaders and tried to avoid unscripted question-and-answer sessions. The recommendations were clear: hold events in controlled settings — a bank or credit union, for example — or tour local businesses or participate in community service projects.

And to reach thousands of constituents at a time, without the worry of being snared in an angry confrontation with voters, more lawmakers are also taking part in a fast-growing trend: the telephone town meeting, where chances are remote that a testy exchange will wind up on YouTube.

For incumbents of both parties facing challenging re-election bids, few things receive more scrutiny than how, when and where they interact with voters. Many members of Congress err on the side of being visible, but not too visible, and make only a few public appearances while they are back in their districts.

In New Hampshire, where open political meetings are deeply ingrained in the state’s traditions, Representative Carol Shea-Porter’s campaign Web site had this message for visitors: “No upcoming events scheduled. Please visit us again soon!”

Ms. Shea-Porter, a Democrat, attended a state convention of letter carriers on Saturday, but she did not hold a town-hall-style meeting during the Congressional recess. In 2006, when she was an underdog candidate for the House, she often showed up at the meetings of her Republican rival, Representative Jeb Bradley, to question him about Iraq.

In Iowa, where voters also are accustomed to coming face to face with elected officials, Representative Leonard L. Boswell, a Democrat, provided few opportunities for voters to see him last week. His itinerary included a groundbreaking for a new law enforcement center and a renaming ceremony for a Des Moines post office.

In Maryland, where Mr. Kratovil endured considerable heckling last year over the health care legislation, which he ultimately opposed, he did not hold any large gatherings with voters. After returning from a visit to Afghanistan, he held two events with veterans before arriving at an evening discussion here at the credit union in Bel Air, north of Baltimore.

“It’s dramatically different this break than it was in August of last year,” Mr. Kratovil said in an interview after he finished speaking about financial regulatory legislation. “At town halls, there was a group of people who were there to disrupt, purely politically driven, not there because they wanted to get answers or discuss the issues.”

Mr. Kratovil said seeing voters in their workplace, or in casual settings like soccer fields, actually provided a broader sampling of public opinion than simply holding formal town-hall-style meetings, which often attract only political activists.

An examination of public schedules for dozens of members of Congress last week showed that more House Republicans held open meetings, including several in a series of forums called America Speaking Out, which is intended to help write the party’s agenda if it wins control of Congress in November.

The anger that erupted at meetings last summer — focused, particularly, on the health care legislation — helped draw attention to Tea Party activists. A year later, some of the images are resurfacing once again and will almost certainly be used against lawmakers in television advertisements over the next five months.

Representative Rick Boucher, a Democrat who has represented a wide part of southwestern Virginia for 28 years, has often encountered fierce criticism during his sessions with voters. But he said it was worth listening to the critiques, which often sound nearly identical as he travels across the 23 counties of his district.

“Obviously the town meetings are magnets for people who have a political agenda, but it’s worth putting up with the talking-point-induced political dialogue to get good ideas,” said Mr. Boucher, who was one of the few Democrats last week who did hold a wide-open meeting, which took place Saturday at the high school in Floyd, Va.

“I guess I’m old-fashioned,” said Mr. Boucher, adding that he preferred visiting with voters in person, rather than communicating with them through “tele-town-hall” meetings, a sort of conference call that can include thousands of homes that has been on the rise since the technology was first used in 2006. “I have no plans of changing my approach to this.”

Representative Tom Perriello, a first-term Virginia Democrat, held 21 open meetings last August during the heat of the health care debate. He said that each of the sessions lasted an average of five hours, often ending well after midnight.

“We thought that the best strategy was to let people talk,” Mr. Perriello said. “It was important to stay until people had everything off of their minds.”

Not last week. The meetings were traded for other stops in Mr. Perriello’s central Virginia district, including an elementary school that received broadband Internet through the economic stimulus plan. He also dropped by several businesses, hoping to take the pulse on what he said were the chief issues for his constituents: jobs and the economy.

Without so many lengthy meetings on his agenda, he said he had more time for impromptu encounters with voters. Constituents who were following along received updated information on Twitter, including this bulletin just before lunchtime one day: “Now stopping for a hot dog at Moore’s Country Store!”

Statue of Mass Murderer Stalin unveiled in Virginia
For shame...

Today is the 66th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy.

Over 71,700 American, British, Canadian, Belgian, New Zealander, Free-French, Czech, Greek, Dutch, Polish, Australian, and Norwegian troops died less than two and a half months of slugging it out in the French bocage country.

Not a single Soviet participated in Operation Overlord.

Yet today in the sleepy Virginia town of Bedford, a memorial to the beginning of the liberation of Western Europe will unveil statues of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, Prime Minister Winston Churchill and President Harry Truman.

And Soviet dictator and mass murderer Joseph Stalin.

Uncle Joe, Friend To The Common Man

It's conservatively estimated that during Joseph Stalin's reign of terror, tens of million of Russians as well as other ethnic groups were slaughtered at the hand of Stalin.

Also, at Stalin's order, millions of the following peoples were deported completely or partially: Ukrainians, Poles, Koreans, Volga Germans, Crimean Tatars, Kalmyks, Chechens, Ingush, Balkars, Kulaks, Karachays, Meskhetian Turks, Finns, Bulgarians, Greeks, Latvians, Lithuanians, Estonians, and Jews.

It is conservatively estimated that most died during Stalin's bloody forced relocations.

And The Others At Normandy?

Although sons of their respective nations fought and died on the beaches of Normandy, the Bedford Memorial has no statues of Canadian Prime Minister William King, King Leopold III of Belgium, Prime Minister of New Zealand Peter Fraser, Gen. Charles DeGaulle of France, Czech President Dr. Emil Hacha, King George II of Greece, Queen Wilhelmina of Holland, Polish leader Edward Smigly-Rydz, Australian Prime Minister John Curtin, or King Haakon VII of Norway.

But Joseph Stalin is there.

It is interesting to note that there is no statue of Allied leader Chiang Kai-Shek at the Bedford Memorial, who, like Stalin, had no connection whatsoever to Operation Overlord.

Yet the powers-to-be in Bedford saw fit to include Comrade Stalin.

Dr. Lee Edwards, a Distinguished Fellow at the Heritage Foundation and chairman of the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation has released the following statement:

"Since the fall of the Soviet Union, statues of Joseph Stalin have been torn down all over Europe and even in the former Soviet Union itself. The world is closer than ever before to a consensus on the evils of communism and Stalin's primary role in the worst crimes of the last century. And yet a statue of Stalin is included in the National D-Day Memorial, to be dedicated in Bedford, Virginia, this Sunday, June 6.

Near the statue of Stalin, a plaque catalogues Stalin's crimes against millions of people both in Russia and throughout Europe. But no mere plaque can justify the inclusion of the statue which dishonors the heroic individuals who sacrificed so much on D-Day and in the Cold War.

A bust of Joseph Stalin has no place in a memorial whose purpose is to salute the brave soldiers who made D-Day a vital victory in the crusade for freedom."

I guess the next statue may be that of ADOLPH HITLER?

A real admiral
at helm of 'Tea Party at Sea'
See who's relieving Farah of command on WND cruise

WorldNetDaily Exclusive

WASHINGTON – When WND began planning its "Tea Party at Sea" Caribbean cruise set for September, planners billed Chief Executive Officer Joseph Farah as the honorary "admiral."

But, since then, a real U.S. Navy admiral has stepped into the breach to relieve Farah of his command.

In fact, the new admiral of the "Tea Party at Sea" is not only an actual retired admiral, he's a war hero, long-suffering prisoner of war, former U.S. senator, Ronald Reagan's Cold War ally and author of the classic "When Hell Was in Session."

That would be Jeremiah Denton – who was famously held as a POW in North Vietnam for seven years and seven months, much of that time in solitary confinement and enduring torture.

During the Vietnam War, Denton served as commanding officer of Attack Squadron 75 aboard the USS Independence. He was shot down on July 18, 1965, while leading an air strike against North Vietnamese stronghold, Thanh Hoa.

During his years in the POW camp, Denton refused to betray his country, at his own expense. He famously blinked in Morse code the word "torture" to confirm the atrocious acts that were being committed on imprisoned soldiers during an interview with a foreign journalist.

Later he was elected to the U.S. Senate from the state of Alabama and worked side by side with President Reagan to free Central America of Communist subversion.

"It is a great honor for me to step down as honorary admiral under these circumstances," said Farah. "Admiral Denton is one of my personal heroes as well as one of our greatest living national treasures. I know everyone attending the "Tea Party at Sea" this year will be inspired to hear his recollections, his ideas about taking America back and have the opportunity to get to know this American living legend. I'll be happy just to serve as first mate on this voyage."

Admiral Denton will also be addressing WND's "Taking America Back National Conference" in Miami just prior to the cruise.

"If you want a strategic briefing on the threats America faces – both externally and internally – I can think of no one with a clearer vision to present them than former Senator Jeremiah Denton," said Farah. "I am looking forward to hearing what he has to say and for the chance to get to know him better."

Admiral Denton will be joined on the cruise by WND's hosts, Joseph and Elizabeth Farah; senior staff writer Jerome Corsi, author of the new book, "The Shroud Codex"; Jerusalem bureau chief Aaron Klein, author of the bestselling "Manchurian President"; and WND managing editor David Kupelian, author of the new book, "How Evil Works."

For more information about the cruise, visit the "Tea Party at Sea" website.

Meanwhile, prior to the cruise, WND's "Taking America Back National Conference" is also shaping up, with headliners Ann Coulter and Alan Keyes being joined by Farah, Corsi, Klein, Denton, Kupelian, former Rep. Tom Tancredo and much more – including some of the liveliest and most unforgettable debates you will ever see.
