Pastor Was Ill on Christmas?

Reports are circulating among parishioners that the pastor, Msgr. James Lisante,
(right) was visibly ill at the two masses he celebrated on Christmas Day. The diocesan spokesman and anecdotal evidence from observers have confirmed that Msgr. Lisante celebrated the 10:30 and 12:00 masses on Christmas Day.

From what I am hearing, Msgr. Lisante was so sick that he looked "green" and looked "as if he had lost a great deal of weight." Apparently, during Mass, the pastor mentioned that he was not feeling well and refrained from shaking hands after Mass with the many parishioners who customarily wait in a lengthy receiving line to greet the popular priest after his Sunday liturgies.

Of course, this may all be coincidental, but the symptoms of hepatitis A include jaundice, a yellowing of the skin. It's not out of the realm of possibility that a yellow skin tone could very well appear "green" in certain individuals.

Taken with other reports of Fr. Seagriff's announcement on Sunday, Dec. 18, that the pastor was so indisposed with "a stomach virus" that he might not be celebrate Mass on Christmas and reports that the pastor did not celebrate Mass on the weekend after Christmas, it would appear that the pastor may have been quite ill for at least three weeks.

Considering the various news reports cited in previous posts and other evidence that continues to filter out, even impartial observers no doubt have a reasonable hypothesis about the identity of the HAV carrier.

Monday, January 10, 2011The Face of Hepatitis in America?

At yesterday's 9 am Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes, one of the priests in residence, Fr. Cletus Nwaogwugwu, a Nigerian priest who serves as hospital chaplain at area hospitals, described in his sermon the chain of events last week that led to him being mistakenly identified as "the face of hepatitis in America."

He explained that last Monday when news of the hepatitis contamination scare broke, he was approached by the media for permission to film his 8 pm Mass in the Our Lady of Lourdes School chapel. He refused permission so CBS News filmed part of the Mass through the glass windows on the chapel doors.

Fr. Cletus said he began receiving phone calls from friends asking him if he was sick. At that point he was confused by the flurry of attention over his health, though he finally realized, to his dismay, that he was suspected to be the HAV carrier because of his chance exposure on the CBS news video here:

http://abcnews.go.com/US/video/ny-church-delivers-hepatitis-a-scare-12536232

It goes without saying that an immediate and thorough investigation of this matter should be conducted at once so this conscientious and exemplary priest may be instantly absolved of any association with the HAV contamination scare.

In the previous blog posts, I describe how various news sources revealed that the HAV carrier was 1) a man, 2) a member of the clergy, and 3) was present at both of the fateful masses on Christmas Day. It has also been revealed that the HAV carrier combined the consecrated hosts into one ciborium after communion. (It should be noted that at Our Lady of Lourdes, this is the usual function of the celebrating priest in the post-communion rite.) Upon learning of the mixing of the hosts, health officials expanded the original possibility of contamination to 5 more subsequent Masses the following day and a much larger range of people than was first supposed.

Several eyewitnesses have confirmed that the pastor, Msgr. James Lisante, celebrated both fateful Masses on Christmas Day---a fact that was confirmed by Sean Dolan, the diocesan spokesman, who stated that Msgr. Lisante "was involved in the communion process" at both masses. Most fascinating of all, an associate pastor at the parish, Fr. Ed Seagriff, announced the Sunday before Christmas that Msgr. Lisante was ill at that time with "a stomach virus," which most observers will recognize is consistent with the symptoms of Hepatitis A.

For those able to connect the dots, there are enough questions here to raise some disturbing speculations. Because it was revealed by the Mary Ellen Laurain, the spokeswoman for the Nassau County Department of Health that the carrier was a clergy member, the parish deserves in justice to know which one of the clergy serving their parish is the carrier in order to clear the other priests in the parish of any involvement in this unfortunate and disastrous incident.

Thursday, January 6, 2011The Crisis At OLL Deepens
Newsday has just reported that the Nassau County Dept. of Health has officially expanded the number of parishioners exposed to Hepatitis A at Our Lady of Lourdes to include people who received Holy Communion at the 1:30 pm Mass on Christmas Day and the five scheduled Masses the next day.

Apparently, the HAV carrier touched a number of consecrated hosts that were mixed in with a larger number of hosts and distributed at subsequent Masses.

In the prior post I discussed the various news quotes which identify the hepatitis-infected person as being male and a priest who was present at both the 10:30 and noon Christmas Day masses. The information from today's Newsday confirms that the carrier was probably a priest because the priest celebrating the mass is typically the one who empties the ciboria and combines all the remaining consecrated hosts after Communion, from my recollection of the post-Communion ritual.

Perhaps someone should be investigating these further possibilities which may expand the risk of contamination even more:

If the infected person is a priest and is perhaps the monsignor, it is his usual custom to shake hands, kiss and hug exiting parishioners on his lengthy receiving line after Mass. This kind of contact is obviously even more risky than receiving a possibly contaminated host.

Since it has been documented that HAV-infected persons are more contagious in the weeks before exhibiting symptoms, it is highly possible that the HAV carrier at OLL has been potentially contaminating parishioners for several weeks prior to Christmas.
Is anyone else besides me beginning to think that this contamination crisis has the potential to become even bigger and more involved???

Given the information Newsday provided today, consider this hypothetical possibility:

If the pastor is the Christmas Day HAV Carrier and was contagious for several weeks before Christmas, then he could have contaminated and re-contaminated the entire parish several times over.

And the Acting Chief, speaks to the Nation.

Hope, Change, and 'Invest'

I missed the middle section of Obama's State of the Union address when I took a break to read "War and Peace," but I gather he never got around to what I was hoping he'd say, which is: "What was I thinking?"

The national debt is $14 trillion, the Democrats won't stop spending, and President Nero gave us a long gaseous speech about his Stradivarius.

I feel so Southern whenever I watch a Democrat give a State of the Union address -- and not just because it makes me want to secede. Consternating the rest of the family, my Kentucky mother always talked back to the TV. I do it only when a Democrat is giving a speech.

And if liberals didn't like Samuel Alito mouthing the words "not true," they should be really happy I wasn't in the House chamber Tuesday night.

All I kept hearing was, "Ann pays more." That's all I ever I hear when Democrats start in with all that "investing."

Apparently the government will be "investing" in education, "investing" in technology, "investing" in roads and "investing" in lots and lots of government workers. Ann pays more, Ann pays more, Ann pays more.

Obama compared "investing" in education to our sending a man to the moon after the Russians launched Sputnik. Say, who was the president who recently gutted spending on NASA? Oh yes, that was Obama.

So he reminded us of the glory days of the space program, but now he's taking that money and funneling it to public school teachers. As the Democrats say: "If we can put a man on the moon, why can't we hire another 10,000 public school teachers?"

Also, solar panels. Obama said the government was already "investing" in solar panels! That's a total relief. This must be how the president who brought us "Recovery Summer" is going to dig us out of the second Great Depression.

But I do wonder why no private lender considered solar panels a wise investment, forcing solar panel manufacturers to turn to the government for loans, followed by endless tax credits just to break even.

I guess people who work for the government are just smarter. We're so lucky to have them "investing" our money for us! Boy, egg must be on Warren Buffett's face!

Remember how massive government "investments" gave rise to the telephone, the light bulb, the automobile, the airplane, the personal computer ... OK, none of those.

But massive government expenditures did give us Amtrak and the TSA!

The only thing Obama vowed to cut were "earmarks." Yippee! The guy with the ears is against earmarks. Yes, the same president who quadrupled our deficit by giving money away to his UAW pals, Wall Street cronies and government workers is now lecturing us about earmarks. This is a bit like being scolded by Charlie Sheen for ordering a second wine cooler.

You knew it was bad when John McCain leapt up and enthusiastically applauded. The last time I saw McCain applaud Obama like that was when he debated him.

Obama said, "We are the nation that put cars in driveways and computers in offices; the nation of Edison and the Wright brothers; of Google and Facebook."

And then the government outlawed Edison's great invention, made the Wright brothers' air travel insufferable, filed anti-trust charges against Microsoft and made cars too expensive to drive by prohibiting oil exploration, and right now -- at this very minute -- is desperately trying to regulate the Internet.

On the bright side, President Al Gore would have actually outlawed the cars in those driveways.

I especially enjoyed his pitch for high-speed trains where you "don't have to receive pat-downs." At least until one of those Muslims who is "part of our American family" blows one up -- at which point they'll be staffed with armies of genital-fondling, unionized TSA agents on the public dime.

Still, I can't wait for Obama's America. An America where I can use lightning-fast, high-speed Internet to file electronically for my unemployment benefits. Or better yet, I can ditch my old "oil-powered" car and take a "sunlight and water"-powered high-speed train to the unemployment office for a change.

And I hear CalTech is working on biofuels to power "Recovery Summer 2011."

The big laugh line was when Nero said mockingly, "I heard rumors that a few of you still have concerns about the health care law." That's called "60 percent of the American public." It's not a joke, and it's not funny.

Here's one: Hey, Obama! Guy walks into a bar in the Gaza Strip. The bartender says, "What'll you have?" But the guy is killed instantly when an Iranian-made CT-28 missile strikes the bar, also killing a woman and small child next door. Get it, Obama? HA HA!

Synthesizing Karl Marx and Ronald Reagan, Obama said the government will soon be taking over every aspect of our lives, and Republicans can't stop him -- but gosh, isn't America a great country! Teachers are great, we need to innovate, children are our future, we need paved roads, kids should do their homework, Labrador puppies are cute, I like apple pie, I (heart) Justin Bieber, and how about them Yankees! Now, here's your 2011 tax bill -- how would you like to pay for that?

Actually, I was glad to hear him say that "there isn't a person here" -- which presumably included Democrats -- who would live anyplace else.

Then why are they always trying to turn us into Western Europe?

If true, I wonder how many business will fold?

The Washington Times is warning that the White House cybersecurity adviser and Commerce Secretary Gary Locke are drawing up "ObamaNet," President Obama's mandate for what amounts to a national ID card for the Internet.
President Obama wants to establish passwords for every citizen to centralize your personal information. Instead of logging onto Facebook or one's bank using separate passwords established with each individual company or web site, you will be required to use the government-issued password.
According to the Washington Times, here are the problems with "ObamaNet":

The government will be able to track every web site you visit and every keystroke you send on your home computer.
The government will be able to track every purchase you make and every deposit and withdrawal, and gain access to your electronic health care records.
The government will be able to track every blog comment you make, along with every Facebook and Twitter post.
The government will be able to create lists of your friends and acquaintances and lists of all your political affiliations, political donations, club memberships, hobbies and interests.
It's impossible for the government to make this system 100% secure (remember Wikileaks?), meaning criminals would need to steal only one key to unlock a vast amount of your personal and financial information.
Although the White House will tell you it is a voluntary program, the government "voluntary" programs too often end up becoming mandatory. See Web I.D. = more gov't control.
TAKE ACTION
Your elected officials can stop President Obama and the Federal government from prying into the personal lives of American citizens.
Email your members of Congress today, asking them to issue a public statement in opposition to President Obama's plan to issue government-based Internet ID cards.

WHAT THE LIBERALS CLAIMED WOULDN'T HAPPEN BY LEGALIZING ABORTIONS!

ILona, THE HERETIC WICCA, AND FRIENDS(ITCHY WATCH, WHAT NONSENSE, VOR....ETC)

Isn't this what you said wouldn't happen when Roe v Wade was passed?
PHILADELPHIA - A Philadelphia abortion doctor has been charged with eight counts of murder in the deaths of a woman patient and seven babies who prosecutors say were born alive and then killed with scissors. The charges against Dr. Kermit Gosnell follow a long grand jury investigation.

A doctor who gave abortions to minorities, immigrants and poor women in a "house of horrors" clinic was charged with eight counts of murder in the deaths of a patient and seven babies who were born alive and then killed with scissors, prosecutors said Wednesday.

Dr. Kermit Gosnell, 69, made millions of dollars over 30 years, performing as many illegal, late-term abortions as he could, prosecutors said. State regulators ignored complaints about him and failed to inspect his clinic since 1993, but no charges were warranted against them given time limits and existing law, District Attorney Seth Williams said. Nine of Gosnell's employees also were charged.

Gosnell "induced labor, forced the live birth of viable babies in the sixth, seventh, eighth month of pregnancy and then killed those babies by cutting into the back of the neck with scissors and severing their spinal cord," Williams said.

Patients were subjected to squalid and barbaric conditions at Gosnell's Women's Medical Society, where Gosnell performed dozens of abortions a day, prosecutors said. He mostly worked overnight hours after his untrained staff administered drugs to induce labor during the day, they said.

Early last year, authorities went to investigate drug-related complaints at the clinic and stumbled on what Williams called a "house of horrors." Bags and bottles holding aborted fetuses "were scattered throughout the building," Williams said. "There were jars, lining shelves, with severed feet that he kept for no medical purpose."

The clinic was shut down and Gosnell's medical license was suspended after the raid.

Gosnell and four workers were charged with murder, while five others were charged with controlled drug violations and other crimes. None of the employees had any medical training, and one, a high school student, performed intravenous anesthesia with potentially lethal narcotics, Williams said.

All 10 defendants were taken into custody, authorities said.

Two listed numbers for Gosnell in Philadelphia have been disconnected. Defense lawyer William J. Brennan, who represented Gosnell during the investigation, noted that the doctor served patients in a low-income city neighborhood for decades. "Obviously, these allegations are very, very serious," Brennan said.

The grand jury said the woman who died was a patient who came to Gosnell's clinic for an abortion and died of cardiac arrest because she was given too much Demerol. Gosnell wasn't at the clinic at the time, but directed his staff to administer the drug to keep the woman, a healthy 41-year-old woman, sedated until he arrived, prosecutors said.

Gosnell has been named in at least 46 malpractice suits, including one over the death of a 22-year-old mother who died of sepsis and a perforated uterus in 2000. Many others also involve perforated uteruses. Gosnell sometimes sewed up the injury without telling women their uteruses had been perforated, prosecutors said.

Gosnell charged $325 for first-trimester abortions and $1,600 to $3,000 for abortions up to 30 weeks. Abortions are legal up to 24 weeks gestation in Pennsylvania, although most doctors won't perform them after 20 weeks, prosecutors said.

Some women came from across the mid-Atlantic for the illegal late-term abortions, authorities said. White women from the suburbs were ushered into a separate, slightly cleaner area because Gosnell believed they were more likely to file complaints, Williams said.

"People knew near and far that if you needed a late-term abortion you could go see Dr. Gosnell," Williams said.

Few if any of the sedated women knew their babies were born alive and then killed, prosecutors said. Many were first-time mothers who were told they were 24 weeks pregnant, even if they were further along, authorities said.

Gosnell got his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and is board certified in family practice. He started, but did not finish, a residency in obstetrics-gynecology, authorities said.

"He does not know how to do an abortion. He's not board certified," Assistant District Attorney Joanne Pescatore said. "Once he got them there, he saw dollar signs and did abortions that other people wouldn't do."

(And who know how many of the Doctors bury their mistakes? OUTLAW ABORTIONS NOW!)

WHAT THE LOVING LIBERALS ARE SAYING!

Death Threats Against Palin Caught on Youtube
January 14th, 2011 4:00 pm ETDo you like this story?
Death threats against former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin have spiked on the social networking site Twitter ever since the January 8 Tucson shooting spree.

An individual who goes by the Nom de Web of "trackerkan" screen captured a rather large number of "tweets" that either advocated the murder of Palin, or wished violence upon her in different situations, such as hoping she'd commit suicide.

As one tweeter put it;

"Listen. I don’t want much from Sarah Palin. I just want her to admit partial fault, then shoot herself in the face. Is that wrong".

Examples of the many of the threats of direct violence against Palin include;

"I hope Sarah Palin dies an ugly death and takes her moronic hate with her."

and

"My hatred for Sarah Palin continues to grow. I think this woman should be assassinated."

"Trackerkan" was able to compile many of the tweets onto a video (left) that he has since posted on Youtube.

There has been no link established between Palin and the perpetrator of the Tucson shootings, Jared Lee Loughner.

Warning: this video contains explicit and vulgar language. It should not be viewed by children or those easily offended.
I guess these are all from Loving, caring, why can we all just get along LIBERALS.

For the record

Fr Cletus said the mass at 9AM not the 10:30AM and Noon Masses, and could not be the Priest involved in the Hepatitis A scare. I believe that ABC News owes Fr Cletus an apology, that should be announced on TV.

St. Michael defend us in Battle

Why this question was posted by parishioners of
Our Lady of Lourdes Massapequa Park.
The "johnny come lately" comments as usual are
irrelevant, demeaning, vitriolic, childish attacks,
inorder to try to change what had happened, and what is. Yes there has been a cover-up by the
RVCD, who were looking for somewhere to dump this
Pastor, who is much too busy to be what the parishioners requested. The following has been posted some time ago, but is very relevant even up to this day, it will answer some of the questions
that mature people may have.I have been attacked,
maligned, cursed at, along with innuendos of being homosexual, all trying to silence me. It is our duty to challenge that which is against the
catholic catechism, like it or not. I feel obligated to continue to oppose liberalism both in religion, and politics, and have shown the parallel of both. I do not believe that there is not room for corrections, but I have observed, that
most times the cost is not worth the change, and in our religion, the cost has been the losing of souls. Right or wrong , that is my belief, and I will continue to expound on them as I feel. Click on this if you have doubts of the claims by good conservative catholics.

What planet is Obama on?

Obama Makes Up Muslim Victims
January 1st, 2011
Is he making it up as he goes along?

In a release from the White House Press Office, Barack Hussein Obama has stated in regards to the terrorist attack on Coptic Orthodox Christians who were leaving Saints Church after a midnight liturgy welcoming in the new year;

The attack on a church in Alexandria, Egypt caused 21 reported deaths and dozens of injured from both the Christian and Muslim communities.

However, Catholic Online has reported that;

"All but eight of the injured and all the fatalities were Christians from Saints Church."

It is unclear if any muslims were injured in the attack, or if they were injured Egyptian police or muslims who rioted against the attacked Christians.

Fox News has reported;

The blast enraged Christians and stoked already strong sectarian tensions. Soon after the explosion, angry Christians clashed with police and Muslim residents, chanting, "With our blood and soul, we redeem the cross," witnesses said.

Which is why it is almost impossible to separate the present administration and the Christians.
They(the present administration) are decidedly
pro-Muslim in their actions. Almost everything that Obama has done, has diminished the American
people, by pandering to Muslim nations. This is also true from the beginning, as his mentor, the
Reverend Jeremiah Wright kept demeaning the United States, and screamed "God Damn America", and Obama]
sat there for 20 years in this parish. Or how about Obama, Hillary Clinton, standing on a stage
while the National Anthem was being played, and Hillary and another political woman, stood with their hand over their hearts, and Obama stood there with his hands at his sides.
The Catholic Liberals had better open their eyes,
and not be ostrich and hide your head in the sand,
only to have your butt blown off.
Liberalism in the Church and Liberalism in politics, are kissing cousins. So when I reference Obama in the context of religion, it is very appropriate, as he is one of the biggest liars (outside of Bill Clinton) I have ever heard

Hepatitis A warning at Our Lady of Lourdes Massapequa Park

I heard on the news that those people who attended
the 10:30 mass and the 12:00pm mass at Our Lady of Lourdes,on DECEMBER 25TH may have been exposed to Hepatitis A virus. Guess who said the 10:30 and the 12:00 PM masses? YUP, none other than the MSGR Lisante, who was reportedly ill for Christmas. You can get your free vaccination , please do not take a chance with this virus. The information I copied is from WebMd:
Below are some questions you may have about hepatitis A and hepatitis B. The answers may surprise you.

Q: Can a person have hepatitis A without having symptoms?

A: Yes. In fact, some people with hepatitis A, especially children, may have no symptoms.

Q: Can I get hepatitis A virus from someone who is infected but doesn’t have symptoms of the disease?

A: Yes. In fact, someone infected with hepatitis A can transmit the virus to others up to 2 weeks before symptoms appear.

Q: After someone is exposed to hepatitis A virus, how soon may symptoms appear?

A: If symptoms of hepatitis A do appear, they usually appear 2-6 weeks after exposure to the virus.

Q: Can hepatitis A virus live outside the body on common household surfaces?

A: Yes. Hepatitis A virus is able to survive for several hours on human hands and several days on environmental surfaces indoors. High temperatures, such as boiling or cooking food or liquids for at least 1 minute at 185°F (85°C), kill the virus, although freezing temperatures do not.

Q: Can a person have hepatitis B virus without having symptoms?

A: Yes. In fact, a person can be infected with hepatitis B and spread it to someone else. Symptoms of hepatitis B may not develop for a few weeks to months after the infection occurs. Some people are chronically infected and can spread the disease.

Q: Can someone spread hepatitis B virus if they don’t have symptoms of the disease?

A: Yes. Most people with chronic (long-term) hepatitis B remain free of symptoms for years, but can still spread the virus during this time.

Q: Can hepatitis B virus live outside the body on common household surfaces?

A: Yes. Hepatitis B virus can survive outside the body for many days.

Q: Can condoms prevent the spread of hepatitis A or hepatitis B?

A: Condoms can help protect against the spread of hepatitis B during sex. Because hepatitis A is spread through infected feces, condoms offer no protection.

How Hepatitis A Virus Can Be Spread
Hepatitis A virus is found in the stool of persons with hepatitis A. It is usually spread through close personal contact. It can sometimes be spread by eating food or drinking water that has been contaminated with the hepatitis A virus. Hepatitis A virus can easily be passed to other people in the same household.

Here are some examples of how hepatitis A can be spread:

an infected person does not wash his or her hands properly after going to the bathroom, then touches other objects or food
a parent or caregiver does not properly wash his or her hands after changing diapers or cleaning up the stool of an infected person and then touches other objects or food
a person engages in certain sexual activities, such as oral-anal contact, with an infected person

"Watch Itchy", you better get yourself and any friends you know that attended these masses to get your shots. It was reported on the news at 11 PM,last night, and the video showed Fr Cletus giving communion, but he did not say the 10:30 or the 12 noon mass, he had said the 9AM mass.
While not deadly, this virus can easily be spread,
and precautions should be taken, particularly for those attending school.Symptoms may include fever, fatigue, poor appetite, nausea, stomach pain, dark-colored urine and jaundice.

Lord ,protect those attending Our Lady of Lourdes
Massapequa Park Parish.
