Hello everyone and welcome to The Vortex where lies and falsehoods are trapped and
exposed. I’m Michael Voris coming to you from the Delta Region of Nigeria.
In the past few days, we’ve traveled in caravan hundreds of kilometers all over southern
and central Nigeria. These are the areas of Nigeria that are pre-dominantly Christian ..
meaning a mix of Catholic and Protestant.
And it’s time to dispel a common feel-good myth among western Catholics .. that the
faith is flourishing and growing like weeds in Africa .. or at least Nigeria .. the most
populous nation in Africa.
So what happens here is .. in many ways .. the trend setter for other African countries.
And here in Africa .. the once formerly thriving bastion of Catholicism is on the run as
hundreds and hundreds of Protestant sects over run the Catholic Church.
Like swarms of ants overrunning a large elephant .. it may take a while .. but eventually ..
by sheer volume .. the elephant succumbs. That’s what’s happening here in Nigeria.
While the Muslim terror groups in the north may grab the headlines with bombings and
kidnappings .. it’s the steady day by day erosion of the faith by Protestant denominations
in the south that may prove the undoing of the Faith in Nigeria.
On our third and fourth days here .. we made the long journey from Lagos to Onitsha ..
about 9 hours overland and then another 6 hours from Onitsha to Port Harcourt. Along
the way .. we shot some video out the windows of our convoy.
As we passed through the countryside .. we began noticing something very interesting ..
hundreds and hundreds of billboards for hundreds of different Protestant communities.
And believe me .. when we say hundreds .. we mean it .. it may have in fact been more
than a thousand.
This is just a very tiny sample of what we saw. Right in the center of what has
traditionally been the Catholic heartland .. it looked more like a swath from the American
Bible Belt.
Church storefronts of every imaginable name. One was even called the Burning Temple
of the Mountain of Revival .. we didn’t get a video of that one .. we went by too fast.
We did of course see Catholic parishes to be sure .. and the Catholic parishes generally
have larger numbers .. but that’s hardly much consolation when they are easily
outnumbered by nearly 150 to one.
And a very disturbing aspect of this trend is that .. according to the local faithful crowd ..
HUGE numbers of those people sitting in these makeshift protestant congregations are
former Catholics .. AND THAT should ring very familiar to the ears of Catholics in the United States.
At a talk we gave last night to a couple hundred Catholics in Port Harcourt .. we
confirmed this by asking if they knew Catholic family members who were now attending
Protestant services. Every single person raised their hands.
But there is a bright spot in all this. And the bright spot is this. As you know .. we don’t
usually pull any punches when talking about the Faith and we didn’t pull any at this talk either.
We were emphatic about the need for Catholics to know their faith and evangelize like
crazy. We pulled no punches about the deception that Protestantism represents.
And .. as a side note .. no matter how much people accuse faithful Catholics of being
mean and uncharitable and intolerant about the deceptions of Protestantism .. it absolutely IS a deception .. because people are deceived about and therefore unable to receive the Body and Blood of Blessed Lord in Holy Communion. This isn’t about sparing people’s feelings .. it’s about giving them every piece of knowledge they need to work out their own salvation.
So .. we characteristically stated the pitfalls and intellectual hurdles of Protestantism.
And wouldn’t you know it .. sitting in the crowd was a gentleman who came up
afterwards and introduced himself. He said he was a Pentecostal pastor and he’d heard
that we would be in town and this would be the topic, so he wanted to come and hear.
He asked for our email and phone number and said he wanted to talk further because ..
catch this .. HE HAD LEARNED A LOT and THINGS HE DIDN’T KNOW before.
Imagine .. saying the truth in a bold and clear and above all CHARITABE way ..
encouraged a Pentecostal minister to step up in great humility and gentleness and say that he wants to learn more.
Bottom line .. some people may not like the way some things are said. But other people DO LISTEN when its put very plainly and want to know more .. all you have to do is SAY it. And more to the point .. if you are a baptized Catholic .. you are commanded to say it .. it’s called .. the first of spiritual works of mercy .. instruct the ignorant.
Go and teach all nations to observe everything I have commanded you. We have our
marching orders .. now get to it. And please pray for the pastor. He and I will be staying in contact and further discussing the Catholic faith.
As a side note .. we have plans to be producing a Vortex episode in the next few days
from St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Abuja where Muslim terrorists killed over 40
people with a car bomb on Christmas Day as they were leaving Mass. Please keep us in

The following statistics are originally from Kenneth Jones' Index of Leading Catholic Indicators:

Priests. After skyrocketing from about 27,000 in 1930 to 58,000 in 1965, the number of priests in the United States dropped to 45,000 in 2002. By 2020, there will be about 31,000 priests--and only 15,000 will be under the age of 70. Right now there are more priests aged 80 to 84 than there are aged 30 to 34.

Ordinations. In 1965 there were 1,575 ordinations to the priesthood, in 2002 there were 450, a decline of 350 percent. Taking into account ordinations, deaths and departures, in 1965 there was a net gain of 725 priests. In 1998, there was a net loss of 810.

Priestless parishes. About 1 percent of parishes, 549, were without a resident priest in 1965. In 2002 there were 2,928 priestless parishes, about 15 percent of U.S. parishes. By 2020, a quarter of all parishes, 4,656, will have no priest.

Seminarians. Between 1965 and 2002, the number of seminarians dropped from 49,000 to 4,700--a 90 percent decrease. Without any students, seminaries across the country have been sold or shuttered. There were 596 seminaries in 1965, and only 200 in 2002.

Sisters. 180,000 sisters were the backbone of the Catholic education and health systems in 1965. In 2002, there were 75,000 sisters, with an average age of 68. By 2020, the number of sisters will drop to 40,000--and of these, only 21,000 will be aged 70 or under. In 1965, 104,000 sisters were teaching, while in 2002 there were only 8,200 teachers.

Brothers. The number of professed brothers decreased from about 12,000 in 1965 to 5,700 in 2002, with a further drop to 3,100 projected for 2020.

Religious Orders. The religious orders will soon be virtually non-existent in the United States. For example, in 1965 there were 5,277 Jesuit priests and 3,559 seminarians; in 2000 there were 3,172 priests and 38 seminarians. There were 2,534 OFM Franciscan priests and 2,251 seminarians in 1965; in 2000 there were 1,492 priests and 60 seminarians. There were 2,434 Christian Brothers in 1965 and 912 seminarians; in 2000 there were 959 Brothers and 7 seminarians. There were 1,148 Redemptorist priests in 1965 and 1,128 seminarians; in 2000 there were 349 priests and 24 seminarians. Every major religious order in the United States mirrors these statistics.

High Schools. Between 1965 and 2002 the number of diocesan high schools fell from 1,566 to 786. At the same time the number of students dropped from almost 700,000 to 386,000.

Parochial Grade Schools. There were 10,503 parochial grade schools in 1965 and 6,623 in 2002. The number of students went from 4.5 million to 1.9 million.

Sacramental Life. In 1965 there were 1.3 million infant baptisms; in 2002 there were 1 million.(In the same period the number of Catholics in the United States rose from 45 million to 65 million.) In 1965 there were 126,000 adult baptisms-----converts-----in 2002 there were 80,000. In 1965 there were 352,000 Catholic marriages, in 2002 there were 256,000. In 1965 there were 338 annulments, in 2002 there were 50,000.

Mass attendance. A 1958 Gallup poll reported that 74 percent of Catholics went to Sunday Mass in 1958. A 1994 University of Notre Dame study found that the attendance rate was 26.6 percent. A more recent study by Fordham University professor James Lothian concluded that 65 percent of Catholics went to Sunday Mass in 1965, while the rate dropped to 25 percent in 2000.

Now, it is sounding on mainstream Italian television, which just aired a program called: Top secret "Fatima: An Unfinished Business. "Now, one no longer has to be afraid of being called a crank or a "Fatimist" for pointing out the contradictions in the Vatican bureaucracy's "official" position on the Third Secret and the Fatima Message in general. Well-respected Vatican journalists, such as Andrea Tornielli, are now saying what we have long said: There is a hidden part of the Third Secret. Tornielli made the claim on the above-mentioned TV program, which also featured comments by Father Nicholas Gruner, who has led the fight of this apostolate for 33 years and who brought The Fatima Challenge to Rome. And Rome listened. The Pope listened. Now, all of Italy is listening. The week following The Fatima Challenge, Pope Benedict XVI, on his way to Portugal to mark the 93rd anniversary of the May 13, 1917 apparition of Our Lady, agreed with what was said at the conference; what this apostolate has been saying for many years: The Third Secret is not about the past, but about what is happening now and what is to come."Whoever thinks the prophetic mission of Fatima is over is deceived." So said the Holy Father. And in saying so, the Pope not only sided with the "Fatimists," once a term of disparagement, but he made our position respectable in the mainstream media. Many Catholics and media commentators in Italy now accept that we have not been given the full text of the Secret. And they are citing the evidence we presented in our publications through the years and in The Devil's Final Battle in particular. They are also citing the Holy Father's recent statements that the events foretold in the Third Secret are about the suffering of the Church due to the sins of its own members, suffering such as we now see in the clerical sexual-abuse crisis. The Pope has said that the "realities" foretold in the Third Secret are "unfolding" and that they are "terrifying." Thus, does Pope Benedict reject as false the position put forth with such dogged insistence by his own Secretary of State, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, that Fatima is in the past. Now, the media has also turned against Bertone. In Top secret "Fatima: An Unfinished Business," Tornielli says precisely what Father Gruner, Chris Ferrara and other Fatima experts have said: that Cardinal Bertone has failed to produce the envelope containing the hidden text of the Third Secret. How do we know this? Because Archbishop Capovilla, the still living former secretary to Pope John XXIII, said that he wrote on the envelope, on Pope John's instructions, the names of those who had read the Secret and the Pope's decision to leave the disposition of the Secret to his successors. Cardinal Bertone showed what he purported to be the envelope containing the "authentic" Third Secret on Italian television, in 2007, but the envelope contained no writing, except Sister Lucy's injunction that it was not to be opened before 1960, by the express orders of Our Lady. When Cardinal Bertone's collaborator and co-author, Giuseppe De Carli, was questioned about this discrepancy at The Fatima Challenge, he could give no satisfactory answer and attempted to dismiss the problem by saying that Fatima is "not about envelopes." But the truth has come out, and on mainstream Italian TV: Bertone was being less than honest. In fact, the Cardinal was deliberately misleading, and on a very grave matter: the words of Our Lady of Fatima. Tornielli, as though he were quoting from what transpired at The Fatima Challenge, cites the discrepancy over the "Capovilla envelope" as an indication that there is a missing text, an "attachment" to the vision revealed by the Vatican in June 2000.The program goes even further, and insists, as this apostolate has always done, that the missing text must be a continuation of the phrase "In Portugal the dogma of the Faith will always be preserved etc." The journalist's say that Our Lady could not have ended Her revelation to Sister Lucy with an "etc." and notes that the Vatican's The Message of Fatima, published with the release of the vision in 2000, conspicuously avoids addressing this question. Mr. Allesandro Banfi, co-director of Mediaset Channels, an Italian TV network, is also now on record saying that there must be a missing text of the Third Secret. As Italian journalist Antonio Socci, author of The Fourth Secret of Fatima, has pointed out, the Pope is engaged in a great "truth-telling" work about the Third Secret. And now, he has allies in the media ready to follow his lead. As the effect of The Fatima Challenge and the Pope's words continue to grow, we will keep you posted. Through the study of Scripture and the Church Fathers, we see that, not only is the Catholic faith biblical, Catholicism is Bible Christianity par excellence.

Because the Old and New Testament Scriptures are the divinely-revealed, written Word of God, Catholics venerate the Scriptures as they venerate the Lord's body. But Catholics do not believe that God has given us His divine Revelation in Christ exclusively through Scripture. Catholics also believe that God's Revelation comes to us through the Apostolic Tradition and teaching authority of the Church.

What Church? Scripture reveals this Church to be the one Jesus Christ built upon the rock of Saint Peter (Matt. 16:18). By giving Peter the keys of authority (Matt. 16:19), Jesus appointed Peter as the chief steward over His earthly kingdom (cf. Isaiah. 22:19-22). Jesus also charged Peter to be the source of strength for the rest of the apostles (Luke 22:32) and the earthly shepherd of Jesus' flock (John 21:15-17). Jesus further gave Peter, and the apostles and elders in union with him, the power to bind and loose in heaven what they bound and loosed on earth. (Matt. 16:19; 18:18). This teaching authority did not die with Peter and the apostles, but was transferred to future bishops through the laying on of hands (e.g., Acts 1:20; 6:6; 13:3; 8:18; 9:17; 1 Tim. 4:14; 5:22; 2 Tim. 1:6).

By virtue of this divinely-appointed authority, the Catholic Church determined the canon of Scripture (what books belong in the Bible) at the end of the fourth century. We therefore believe in the Scriptures on the authority of the Catholic Church. After all, nothing in Scripture tells us what Scriptures are inspired, what books belong in the Bible, or that Scripture is the final authority on questions concerning the Christian faith. Instead, the Bible says that the Church, not the Scriptures, is the pinnacle and foundation of the truth (1 Tim. 3:15) and the final arbiter on questions of the Christian faith (Matt. 18:17). It is through the teaching authority and Apostolic Tradition (2 Thess. 2:15; 3:6; 1 Cor. 11:2) of this Church, who is guided by the Holy Spirit (John 14:16,26; 16:13), that we know of the divine inspiration of the Scriptures, and the manifold wisdom of God. (cf. Ephesians 3:10).

I hope that this site gives Catholics the biblical and patristic knowledge they need to answer questions about their faith, and helps them rediscover the truth of their faith as taught by Sacred Scripture. I further pray that non-Catholics come to recognize that God's gift of salvation comes only through Jesus Christ and His Catholic Church. I also pray that each one of us grows more deeply in love with Jesus as we become better Bible Christians (or, rather, "Scripture Catholics").

"Today bring to Me the Souls of those who have separated themselves from My Church*,

and immerse them in the ocean of My mercy. During My bitter Passion they tore at My Body and Heart, that is, My Church. As they return to unity with the Church My wounds heal and in this way they alleviate My Passion."

Most Merciful Jesus, Goodness Itself, You do not refuse light to those who seek it of You. Receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls of those who have separated themselves from Your Church. Draw them by Your light into the unity of the Church, and do not let them escape from the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart; but bring it about that they, too, come to glorify the generosity of Your mercy.

Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls of those who have separated themselves from Your Son's Church, who have squandered Your blessings and misused Your graces by obstinately persisting in their errors. Do not look upon their errors, but upon the love of Your own Son and upon His bitter Passion, which He underwent for their sake, since they, too, are enclosed in His Most Compassionate Heart. Bring it about that they also may glorify Your great mercy for endless ages. Amen.

Mass in Nigeria
I’m Michael Voris coming to you from Nigeria.
We’ve spoken often in The Vortex about reception of Holy Communion and proper
expression of reverence at Mass and numerous liturgical abuses and so forth.
And here in Nigeria .. the same types of discussions are being had by rank and file
Catholics as well.
It shouldn’t come as a great surprise that liturgical abuses are rampant in the Mass here.......
just like in the west .. although some Catholics in the west have a kind of idealized vision
of the Faith in Africa. They need to disabuse themselves of that.
The Protestant influence is very strong in Catholic circles here as well. From lack of understanding of Sacred Scripture to the devotional life to an almost total
misunderstanding of the nature of sacraments .. the Protestant heresy has made major
inroads in African Catholicism.
At Mass .. faithful Catholics have been dismayed at what’s called Praise and Worship
demonstrated at Mass. For example .. right at the moment of consecration .. people
standing up with arms thrown up in the air carrying on in tongues and dancing and so
forth.
Faithful Catholics here have described many Masses as little else than Protestant
Pentecostal worships services .. complete with Protestant hymns and Protestant emotional outbursts.
These sorts of concerns sounded all too familiar to us .. at least in substance if not in style as debates about this are growing more intense in many places in the west. As the Traditional Latin Mass continues to grow .. the difference between Catholic Mass and Protestant Praise and Worship hi-jinks at Catholic Mass become ever more stark.
But perhaps not quite so stark as what we saw at Mass last Sunday. As much of the
establishment Church in the western countries continues to talk down about reception of
Holy Communion kneeling or on the tongue .. take a look at what we saw.
Faithful Catholics in Nigeria not only receive on the tongue while kneeling, but they
proceed up the aisle .. on their knees. That’s right they get on their knees the moment they exit their pews and process up the aisle on their knees .. receive Our Lord’s Body and Blood and then .. turn around and go back to their places on their knees.
Can you imagine .. could you even begin to picture the opprobrium that would be reigned down on a Catholic doing this at Mass at St. Whoever’s Parish in Anywhere USA?
The diocesan staff at the chancery would schedule an emergency meeting .. notifications would be fired off to all local clergy .. a flurry of statements would be forthcoming ..
press releases would be issued .. letters from various departments and divisions at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops would fly off the presses asserting local this and local that.
And all because a Catholic wanted to approach their Lord and their God on his knees and receive Him on their knees.
Meanwhile .. hardly a peep as abuse after abuse continues as par for the course in parish after parish .. Sunday after Sunday .. Mass after Mass.
Nope .. nary a peep. Maybe it’s Catholics in the west that have something to learn here. Reporting from Nigeria ..

Fortunately I can screen out all of the rantings that I am subjected to on other blogs. My answer to his rant was:

"Good Catholics. I am restraining myself from answering the rants of this poster. If someone can not see the effects of Obamaism, the proliferation of his Secretary of State to impose through the
U.N., Abortions, then you do not know what is happening through the U.N., and how Abortions are being fed through-out the world.
Obama's withholding of money to Hospitals that will not give contraceptives, and abortions, is breaking the boundaries between politics and Religion, with the risk of sanctions and closure.

Hello everyone and welcome to The Vortex where lies and falsehoods are trapped and
exposed. I’m Michael Voris coming to you from Lagos Nigeria, where the Church is
suffering greatly. Since almost the very beginning of his pontificate .. Our Holy Father Benedict has pinpointed two ominous dangers for the Church. One of those dangers is the attacks from secularism .. from both outside AND inside the Church .. a quiet persecution if you will.
It is the Church in the west that has labored under these types of attacks for decades, now .. the Church in Europe .. North America .. Australia .. the so-called First World Countries. And an overwhelming amount of damage has been done to the Faith. But here in the Third World .. the attacks are not only ideological to a degree but outright physical .. and the threat comes largely from militant Islam and its violent adherents. A killing rampage has been underway for some time now against Catholics in countries where there are large Muslim populations.
From Pakistan to Iraq to Egypt to the Sudan to here in Nigeria .. if you are Catholic in predominant Muslim areas .. you are a potential target for physical persecution .. including martyrdom.
So while those of us Catholics who live in the West have to endure the scourge of
Modernism in all its intellectually abusive forms .. our fellow Catholics in the Third World have to endure the threat of physical martyrdom.
On Christmas day for example .. at least 40 people were killed by a massive explosion as they walked out of Mass at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church. The bombing was carried out by Muslim terrorist group Boko Haram.
Boko Haram .. which means .. “Non-Islamic education is sinful” .. is situated in the
Northern part of Nigeria which is overwhelmingly Muslim and the terrorist outfit has
been using violence for close to ten years now to try and achieve the imposition of Sharia Law throughout ALL of Nigeria. About one third of Nigeria is currently under Sharia Law. Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa with 160 million people which also makes it the ninth most populous country in the world. Its population is roughly split 60-40 between Christians in richer oil-producing states of the South and Muslims in the North. Observers believe that Boko Haram is trying to incite a civil war among Christians and Muslims with an end to seizing control of the oil-producing states to help fund more radical Islam throughout Africa.
Whether that eventually happens or not .. Catholics will continue to face the threat of persecution and martyrdom for their faith as long as Islamist insurgents are not dealt with by the nation’s government.
The President is Goodluck Jonathan .. A Christian from the South .. who came to power
when his predecessor died in office two years ago. He did win national election
eventually and is serving that current term.
But his presidency is a sore spot for northern Muslims who feel that the unwritten
agreement of alternating between a Christian president and a Muslim president has been violated by Jonathan.
Many Christians in the country’s more central region .. which includes the nation’s
capital of Abuja where the Christmas Day Massacre occurred feel that his government
isn’t doing enough to protect them and capture the Boko Haram. In fact .. one those
arrested for the Christmas bombing recently escaped.
The Catholic archbishop and some of his priests have had their hands full trying to
convince the young people whose relatives were killed in the bombing not to seek
revenge .. but at the same time .. they have been appealing to the government to step up its efforts or they may not be able to help keep a lid on the situation much longer. The Pope himself .. on the day after Christmas had to make a special appeal for an end to the violence and this just one month after he had visited neighboring Benin .. immediately to the west of Nigeria where he had appealed vigorously to Catholics to hold on to their faith and resist temptations to water it down.
There is no doubt that the Church is playing defense on a macro level everywhere in the world. From the secular and ideological threats in the west .. like Obama’s massive overrunning of religious freedom in the United States to the more physical bodily threats in the Third World with bombings and kidnappings.
In the west .. souls are being killed. In the third world .. bodies are being killed.
The assault against the faith is global and this means that the response must be global .. but any response must begin with individuals. This means that faithful Catholics .. to a man .. must step up and determine for themselves - what are YOU going to do to serve the Church where you live.
This doesn’t mean volunteering to be a lector. The Church doesn’t need lectors or more parish council members. It needs heroes and saints .. people who are willing to commit their lives and fortunes to the defense and promotion of the Faith. If you’re baptized and confirmed .. that means you and me.
We’ll be reporting from Nigeria for the next week as well as accepting an invitation from local Catholics to give a number of addresses on the importance of staying faithful even during these trials .. so please stay tuned .. and keep us in your prayers.

Hello everyone and welcome to The Vortex where lies and falsehoods are trapped and

So .. have you ever stopped to consider what heaven will be like .. in how we relate to
one another I mean.
Down here .. we’re always disagreeing over this or that .. some things minor, some things
major.
But on moral principles and matters of objective truth .. there can be no disagreement .. at
least not in heaven.
In heaven .. all in peaceful because there is nothing but unity .. because God is unity.
There is no disagreement in God .. and there can be no disagreement among his faithful
in heaven.
Our Blessed Lord even make this his prayer just hours before his Passion begins .. That
they Father may be One just as you and I are one.
So .. can you imagine .. for even a slight instant .. disagreement in heaven? Well .. it
makes no sense at all!
Souls on one cloud aren’t declaring how good abortion was on earth while souls on
another cloud are saying it was evil.
Likewise .. some of the angels aren’t thinking adultery or pornography or cohabiting or
fornication were perfectly fine .. while some other angels and a few saints are roundly
condemning it.
These two groups would be at odds with each other and you wouldn’t have heaven .. but
just an eternity of the fighting we already have down here. That could hardly be
described as heaven now could it?
No. Either the pure of heart are correct and these things are sinful and damnable and
those who called them good while they were on earth are tormented – OR – the pure in
heart are naïve nincompoops who missed all the fun on earth while the partiers had their
heaven on earth and in eternity.
Both sides CANT be right. Either there are objective evils and sin or there are not. But
whichever the case .. we KNOW that BOTH positions cannot be the case in Heaven.
So the only thing left to do is figure out WHICH position is correct.
So .. is sexual license and objectification of the body and lack of respect for the divine
imaging in each person the essence of Heaven .. or is the rejection of all the above and an
embracing of the reflection of the Divine in each person what goes in Heaven?
What passes for the heavenly in heaven is how we need to be understanding and acting
on earth. Short of that .. we will go to a place wherein dwell those who called evil good
and good evil.
There are no disagreements in Heaven .. only peace!

Today bring to Me the Souls who especially venerate and glorify My Mercy*,

and immerse them in My mercy. These souls sorrowed most over my Passion and entered most deeply into My spirit. They are living images of My Compassionate Heart. These souls will shine with a special brightness in the next life. Not one of them will go into the fire of hell. I shall particularly defend each one of them at the hour of death.

Most Merciful Jesus, whose Heart is Love Itself, receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls of those who particularly extol and venerate the greatness of Your mercy. These souls are mighty with the very power of God Himself. In the midst of all afflictions and adversities they go forward, confident of Your mercy; and united to You, O Jesus, they carry all mankind on their shoulders. These souls will not be judged severely, but Your mercy will embrace them as they depart from this life.

Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls who glorify and venerate Your greatest attribute, that of Your fathomless mercy, and who are enclosed in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. These souls are a living Gospel; their hands are full of deeds of mercy, and their hearts, overflowing with joy, sing a canticle of mercy to You, O Most High! I beg You O God:

Show them Your mercy according to the hope and trust they have placed in You. Let there be accomplished in them the promise of Jesus, who said to them that during their life, but especially at the hour of death, the souls who will venerate this fathomless mercy of His, He, Himself, will defend as His glory. Amen.

The week before last .. before we were so rudely interrupted by Obama’s Catholic Health
and Human Service Secretary telling the Church it has to pay for birth control .. we were
talking about masculinity and the glaring lack of it in the Church these days.
Then we got emailed a cartoon which pretty much sums it up about as well as anything
we have ever seen.
It’s a look at the feminized version of St. Francis compared to the REAL St. Francis.
This extraordinarily masculine Saint has been turned into some feminine hippy by the
cult of the feminine that dominates certain quarters of the Church these days.

Faithful ..

Obama's Georgia Hearing on his ELEGIBILITY

Obama Attorney Knows Eligibility Hearing Was Disaster For The President

Though we’ll not know the outcome of the Georgia hearing regarding ballot eligibility for the nation’s number 1 undocumented worker until the first part of February, Barack Obama’s high-powered attorney apparently suffered an attack of rapid, shallow breathing just before the courtroom drama was about to unfold.

One day prior to the scheduled hearing before Administrative Judge Michael Malihi, Obama attorney Michael Jablonski addressed both a letter to Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp AND an email, directed to the Secretary via one of the court’s hearing officers, asking Kemp to cancel the hearing.

Georgia law allows “any elector is eligible to vote for a candidate” to file an objection to that candidate’s inclusion on the State ballot. (1)

Such objection filings go to the Secretary of State who makes a determination to either overrule or pass them along to the State Administrative Court for disposition. Michael Malihi was the Administrative Judge to whom a number of these objections were directed by the Secretary and he found them worthy of pursuing in court.

The dozens of similar suits questioning Obama’s eligibility, filed in other venues around the nation were dismissed because the plaintiffs “lacked standing”—that is, were unable to prove direct, personal damage if Obama were to be permitted to remain in or run again for the office he holds.

But Georgia law trumped that defense, throwing Obama and Jablonski into uncharted waters. And forced to follow the new tack of actually having to lawfully and properly PROVE Obama’s eligibility, in the weeks since the original filing, Jablonski had pretty much emptied his quiver on behalf of the acting president.

On January 3rd his motion for an outright dismissal of the lawsuits was denied by Judge Malihi. And on Friday the 20th, his motion to quash subpoenas demanding the presence of Obama in the courtroom along with original copies of his Hawaii birth certificate and all Social Security information was denied as well.

But what degree of audacity, arrogance, hutzpah and perhaps downright panic does it require to demand that the Georgia Secretary of State cancel arguably the most anticipated hearing in state history less than 24 hours before its scheduled start? Never mind that it was Secretary Kemp who believed the suits had enough merit to be explored in the first place!

Jablonski’s letter alternately reads like a threat, a whine and a prayer as he misstates Georgia statute, belittles Judge Malihi, refers to irrelevant previous findings and ultimately states that because he and his revered client are not receiving the absolute acquiescence they so richly deserve at the hands of these minor Georgia officials, they will take their marbles and go home.

Indeed, so much in a dither was the mighty mouthpiece, he actually winds up his petulant epistle by telling Secretary Kemp that he doesn’t have the legal right to inconvenience the president in the first place! “…No law gives the Secretary of State authority to determine the qualifications of someone named by a political party to be on the Presidential Preference Primary ballot,” writes Jablonski. “…The attempt to hold hearings on qualifications which you may not enforce is ultra vires.” (2)

It is not difficult to imagine Jablonski writing these words as he wags a finger in Kemp’s face while threatening to hold his breath until he turns blue!

In his written reply to Jablonski, Kemp briefly corrects the attorney’s incorrect reading of Georgia statute while issuing a friendly though unmistakably direct warning: “…if you and your client choose to suspend your participation in the OSAH proceedings, please understand that you do so at your own peril.” (3)

Obama supporters and other useful idiots around the country are laughing at what they consider the efforts of a backward, Southern state to capture the national spotlight for its 15 minute allowance of fame.

But rest assured that Michael Jablonski does NOT see the humor! And Americans who recognize Barack Hussein Obama for who and what he is might be a fortnight away from breaking news which even the New York Times will be forced to print.

Consider .. the Obama White House has now declared that religious institutions must
now begin paying for contraception in their employees health plans.
What certainly seems to be a violation of religious freedom is going to wind its way
through the courts it now seems .. if the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops follows through with its plans.
But consider further the great irony present here. The bishops are outraged that such a matter can come to pass. Good for them. Outrage IS the correct response.
But now .. they appear to be rallying the Catholic troops to gather round and support the cause of defending religious freedom in the specific case on birth control. Do you see the great irony here? For years .. almost 50 years now and counting .. much of Church leadership has either passively rejected Church teaching on birth control or .. in some cases actively worked against it.
From the very first moments that Pope Paul VI issued his shattering encyclical .. Humane Vitae .. On Human Life .. which proclaimed and affirmed the Church’s age old teaching that the marital act must be open to the transmission of new life .. meaning no birth control .. clerics and religious ran like mad in the other direction. Theologians decried it .. denounced it .. pilloried it .. and many religious just sat by silently on the sidelines and let their chanceries and seminary faculties and theological advisors trample the Pope’s words.
That kind of rebellion doesn’t happen with NO consequences. In fact .. it was left
unchecked for so long .. that it has proved to have devastating consequences. The
percentage of Catholic laity who either use birth control or support its use is over 90 percent.
One recent survey in fact revealed that 98% of Catholic women of child bearing years
practice some form of birth control at least periodically.
So .. step back for a second and look at this. Yesteryear’s church leadership in America
as well as many current chancery personnel have pushed or stood mute on the subject of birth control.
Taking the cue from the leadership .. Catholics .. all these years later now simply reject out hand the Church’s teaching they were never taught as laughable.
And then Obama comes along and challenges the Paper Tiger that is the current state of crisis the Church in America now finds itself in.
And in response .. many of the bishops and their staffs snap to .. as they should .. and try to rally the troops behind a CONCEPT that they should oppose this incursion by the Feds into church matters on the VERY SUBJECT over which 98% of American Catholics disagree with the Church. Seriously?!
Hats off to the Bishops for challenging Obama and his Catholic in name only .. shouldn’t be using the name Catholic .. secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebellius.
But after these past 50 years .. they shouldn’t be surprised if they sound the trumpet blast and lead the charge .. only to look over their shoulders and see no army and no soldiers running up the hill with them. The generation of bishops before them took care of that.
They may well win the legal battle that is looming .. and they should. But Obama could not have struck at a weaker point in the defenses of a shrinking population of faithful Catholics.

Hello everyone and welcome to The Vortex where lies and falsehoods are trapped and
exposed. I’m Michael Voris.
Though we often look at developments inside the Church for points of discussion ..
sometimes its helpful to pop our heads up and take a look at other places.
Like .. the upcoming issue of Vanity Fair .. for February. Inside its secular-laden pages is
a very telling piece of info.
They teamed up with CBS News’ 60 Minutes .. and conducted a poll on all sorts of
things. The one that screamed off the pages at us was this question. BTW – the link is on this page.
“Which comes closest to your view?
1) The world would be a better place if there were one global religion.
2) The world would be a better place if there were one global religion but only if that
religion was Christianity.
3) The world is a better place because of its religious diversity.
4) the world would be a better place with no religion.
Vanity Fair then posted the results of answers to that question based on the following
categories .. Protestants .. Evangelicals .. Catholics .. and All.
For the record .. Evangelicals are a subset of Protestants, even though THEY don’t see
themselves that way. Nonetheless they are. But we digress.
It’s interesting when you compare the ALL group (which is a amalgamation of everyone
in the US .. Christians, Jews, Muslims, atheists, etc.)
Among EVERYONE .. or ALL .. religious diversity won the day .. 54%.
Among Protestants generally .. the same opinion held .. 52%.. but among evangelicals
there was a pretty steep departure from the general norm.
While small majorities of the overall population as well as their fellow protestants view
religious diversity as a positive .. only about a third of evangelicals did. In fact .. almost
half of evangelicals thought their should only be one world religion AND it should be Christianity.
A-N-D T-H-E-N came the Catholic response. Yep. You know where this is going.
In yet another stunning triumph for the Modernist forces that have been working like
busy little bees in the Church for decades now .. corrupting people’s minds by expressing
the Church’s teachings as vaguely as possible .. drum roll please .. 2 out of every 3 Catholics .. a whopping .. poll leading .. 65 percent of Catholics .. think diversity in religion is the best option .. a splendid thing.
Let’s zoom in and take a really close look at the total Catholic response. Based on the
four possible answers .. one world religion .. Christianity being the world religion .. all
kinds of religions or no religions at all .. just 15 percent of Catholics thought the world
would be a better place if Christianity was to be the sole world religion.
Re-formulated .. that means 85 percent of Catholics simply reject the idea of the
superiority of Christianity. This is an impossible situation to square with Our Blessed
Lord’s command to go out and baptize all nations.
Heck .. a little more than one in six .. ONE in SIX Catholics believed the world would be
a better place with NO religion! Imagine that .. One of out nearly every six US Catholics
thinks the world would be better with NO religion at all .. and two out of three US
Catholics don’t think there’s anything head and shoulders about their own faith.
Every now and then .. we will hear comments from Church leaders in the US that there
really is no crisis in the Church in the US – problems, sure. Things that need to be fixed,
yea. But NO crisis.
5 out 6 US Catholics have no clue what the Catholic Church REALLY is .. and Church
leaders have the audacity to grandstand and make speeches and offer public comments
saying “there is no crisis”. REALLY?!?!
I guess it doesn’t reach crisis proportions until that number is 6 out of 6! Then we can get
down to business.[Or God forbid - you use the name Catholic without filling out the paperwork].
Well, some Catholics aren’t willing to wait until that happens!

Five Reasons Why Conservatives Lost

Hello everyone and welcome to The Vortex where lies and falsehoods are trapped and
exposed. I’m Michael Voris.
When you come to Washington DC you obviously realize that you are in the seat of
power. All these buildings are the tools that the victors in the ideological war use to impose their view on a nation and that nation’s culture.
Whoever wins elections .. wins the spoils of that war. The old phrase .. elections have consequences rings very true.
And it’s time now to be brutally honest and simply admit that conservatives have lost this battle. The secularists got hold of some necessary institutions .. and slowly .. over the years .. bred a couple of generations .. who then voted these secular minded people into these halls of power.
Conservatives in Washington have a great resemblance to the last holdouts at the Alamo.
How did this happen. How did America go from 200 plus years of moral and political
conservatism to the secular liberal state we see today?
Five reasons have been identified by scholars and historians.
1 – Conservatives were much more concerned with economics and foreign policy than
they were morality. The morality was a given. The Cold War was raging with the Soviet
Union. Political conservatives were much more comfortable and able to talk in those terms than they were theology, philosophy and history. We see this still .. even today in the split in the GOP between social conservatives and economic conservatives
2 – The Entertainment media grabbed the youth back in the 1970s and have never let go. While parents were blithely unaware of things like MTV and a wild assortment of
subversive messages being sent to their children .. their children were being intellectually and spiritually kidnapped. By the time many parents realized what was going on .. it was too late.
3 – The Courts .. more than any other single institution is where the secularist liberals have been able to pound the nail in the coffin. It took decades .. but once education and entertainment were sufficiently corrupted .. it was inevitable that a new generation of voters would start casting their votes without any concern about basic moral issues. And the liberal-secularist have done the better job of securing those votes by appealing to emotions and passions.
4 – The innate conservative quality of obedience and almost automatic accepting of
authority. By definition .. conservatives are not rebels .. they don’t rebel.
So when for example .. when the Supreme Court said in the late 1960’s that prayer in
school in unconstitutional .. even tho a majority of Americans at the time identified
themselves as conservative .. they simply accepted it .. even tho every single poll taken at the time revealed that HIUGE majorities disagreed with the court.
5 – and the last reason why .. and perhaps the most important .. is that the one single institution that .. at the time .. had the moral authority to challenge the secularist-liberal juggernaut .. did not do it. The Christian faithful. And in this group we include Catholics and Protestants.
The decades of dissent that has been allowed to go unchecked in the Catholic Church in America coupled with the widespread abandoning of practically everything Christian by huge swaths of Protestant America has been the single biggest reason why we now stand where we stand as a nation.
The near total abolition of duty in the face of the contraception mentality by nearly all Protestant denominations and the near total silence and under the radar rejection of the Church’s teaching on it among Catholics and their leaders set the stage for the moral collapse which would inevitable lead to the dissolution of the family .. abortion and now same sex marriage.
Once the sexual act could be decoupled from procreation in biology and law .. it was only a matter of time until the culture became saturated in a sex-is-for-pleasure mentality. Christians were both blind-sided by this initially and then all too happy to accept it. It’s fitting therefore .. some would say ironical or poetic justice then .. that the issue that is now being warred over by the Catholic Church and the federal government has come down to a fight over contraception.
This needs to be a lesson for all of us .. if you don’t get rid of dissent early .. you will have a heresy later.

THE MARCH

The March:

For the 39th year .. Americans are commemorating and demonstrating against the
continual slaughter of millions of children in their mothers’ wombs .. 56 million and
counting.
In fact .. in the couple of hours it takes this march to happen .. close to 300 children will
have been murdered in the nation’s abortion chambers.
With the uptick in consciousness over the evil and horror of abortion and Planned
Parenthood being on the run with regard to their funding .. the pro-aborts are beginning to fight back.
This past Saturday night .. there was a youth rally in the Capital Hyatt ballroom where a thousand pro-life youth were gathered. Suddenly about two-three dozen pro-aborts stood up and disrupted the rally with signs and chanting .. see for yourselves. NATS
This is the FIRST TIME this has ever happened .. that pro-aborts have sneaked into a
pro-life gathering at March for Life and deliberately disrupted the event they were
eventually escorted out by hotel security after a few minutes .. but not without proving the point that they consider themselves to be in a pitched fight.
This is the real face of pro-abortion America .. standing in the middle of a pro-life
gathering .. yelling .. pro-life that’s a lie .. you don’t care if women die.
And their other chant .. not the Church not the state .. women will decide their fate. It’s not even worth the trouble to de-construct their slogan pabluum .. but that they would do this at all .. demonstrates a certain mind set .. that they now feel the initiative is being lost in the public square as poll after poll concludes that American society views abortion less and less favorably .. especially the younger generations.
As a side note on this .. while the momentum may be on the side of the pro-life cause
among the common folk shall we say .. you wouldn’t know it by the secular media
coverage. If there was ever an example of secular media bias .. it’s this annual March .. and note this .. the largest annual gathering in Washington .. year after year .. bar none .. and to the secular media .. it never happens.
It is essentially ignored or treated so slightly that it may as well not have happened. Each year .. anywhere from 350,000 to 450,000 .. sometimes more .. an ocean of people stream up to the US Supreme Court protesting the evil of abortion and in favor or Roe v. Wade being overturned .. and yet .. you’d never know it by the secular media. The only hint you might get .. that SOME people came to DC and did SOMETHING .. is the Associated Press or Reuters News Agency pictures of a dozen or so pro-aborts from NOW holding their signs in front of the Court amid hundreds of thousands of pro-lifers ..and hearing commentators on CNN say something stupid like .. so are the numbers on each side about the same?.. That was the observation of one of CNN’s crack reporters and anchors last year.
20 or so vs. 400,000! Are the numbers about the same?!
More than perhaps anything else .. it has been the world of the media that has advanced this evil .. in the lies it has told .. the truth it has ignored .. the glamour with which it portrays unbridled sex in movies .. music .. publications .. and the news coverage .. or rather .. lack of coverage of the effects on a society of wiping out nearly 56 million of its citizens.
To date .. that we know of .. not one US secular media outlet has done a single story on the economic impact of abortion. The devastating impact of 56 million would be consumers simply never having been born, not spending money buying houses, cars ..
educations .. clothing .. contributing to the tax rolls for socials security .. medicare etc. It’s why we felt compelled two and a half years ago to examine the issue ourselves in an hour long program we produced called The Cost of Abortion. We’ve attached a link to it to this page.
Catholics have got to recognize that they have been lied to and manipulated by various forces for decades now .. and among those forces have been the media. Time to wisen up and spread the truth.

The sleeping giant has been awakened.

Right now we're witnessing an unprecedented response to the Obama administration's decision last Friday to proceed with their new mandate forcing all Americans (including the Catholic Church) to fund birth control, sterilization, and some abortion-inducing drugs.

Since Friday we have been receiving reports from individuals and parishes across the country. Catholics of all stripes, left, right, and center -- "political" categories that are not typically helpful -- are nevertheless coming together like never before.

We are united as one Church.

Bishops, priests, pastors and the laity are rising up. Many priests and bishops preached last Sunday on the threat, with numerous reports of congregations spontaneously erupting with standing ovations. Blogs, news sites, and grassroots organizations (on both left and right!) have erupted. The emails and calls to CV are pouring in.

Retired Cardinal Mahoney in Los Angeles responded to the decision saying: "This decision must be fought against with all the energies the Catholic Community can muster...there is no other fundamental issue as important as this one as we enter into the Presidential and Congressional campaigns...[i]f any candidate refuses to acknowledge and to promote those rights, then that candidate will not receive my vote."

And just this morning, New York's Cardinal-designate Timothy Dolan authored a blistering editorial in the Wall Street Journal in which he concluded:

"This latest erosion of our first freedom should make all Americans pause. When the government tampers with a freedom so fundamental to the life of our nation, one shudders to think what lies ahead."

The assault on our religious freedom may not come as a surprise to many of you. For years, hostile groups and some elected officials have been working to destroy the influence of the Church in America. For years they have flaunted our social teachings, insulted our clergy and hierarchy, and mocked our Pope. The attacks are endless.

And now they want us to fund their agenda.

NO WAY.

We will not accept this new mandate, and we will not rest until it is overturned.

Show them Your mercy according to the hope and trust they have placed in You. Let there be accomplished in them the promise of Jesus, who said to them that during their life, but especially at the hour of death, the souls who will venerate this fathomless mercy of His, He, Himself, will defend as His glory. Amen.

*The text leads one to conclude that in the first prayer directed to Jesus, Who is the Redeemer, it is "victim" souls and contemplatives that are being prayed for; those persons, that is, that voluntarily offered themselves to God for the salvation of their neighbor (see Col 1:24; 2 Cor 4:12). This explains their close union with the Savior and the extraordinary efficacy that their invisible activity has for others. In the second prayer, directed to the Father from whom comes "every worthwhile gift and every genuine benefit,"we recommend the "active" souls, who promote devotion to The Divine Mercy and exercise with it all the other works that lend themselves to the spiritual and material uplifting of their brethren.

Well said. All too often I run into people (both laity and clergy) who self-identify as Catholics, and yet dissent on important Catholic teachings. As a priest, this makes my duty of guiding souls in the truth much more difficult. I can tell people what the truth is, but if other priests and theologians "in good standing" say the opposite, it makes people think that it all depends on your personal point of view...

Pope Pius X on Modernists: "...thinking not at all of finding some solid foundation of truth, but despising the holy and apostolic traditions, they embrace other vain, futile, uncertain doctrines, condemned by the Church, on which, in the height of their vanity, they think they can rest and maintain truth itself." Many of the bishops themselves were educated at some point by questionable theologians. Good luck in attempting to exclude them now. It might be easier to start from scratch.

Some of this failure to rule may be attributed to the idea that error need not be combated - the mere presentation of truth will vanquish it. Was this a legacy of Vatican II and Pope John XXIII? I believe so. But aside from the sheer naivete of this view on its own merits, the idea gained traction that even the presentation of the truth was too aggressive. Someone might feel excluded or offended. So the Bishops made 'happy talk'(ala Lisante)fine and dandy, we're all going to heaven.hurrah

Satan went beyond all the limits of deception when he went to Father Pio pretending to be a penitent. #2357 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that “homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered.” They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.

Homosexuality is Condemned in the Bible!

The Bible's condemnation of homosexuality is as clear and plain as the Bible's condemnation of murder, adultery, premarital sex, kidnapping, lying and idolatry. Further, for me to openly condemn homosexuality theologically makes me no more a "gay basher" than I am an "adultery basher", "premarital sex basher", "kidnapper basher" or a "murderer basher". If you disagree, your argument is with God's Bible.

The homosexual community has two ways of promoting their personal choices of being homosexual through the religious forum. First, some will claim the Bible actually promotes and condones homosexuality. Second, others try to get the Bible banned from public use by categorizing it as hate literature.

For any to use the Bible to condone rather than condemn homosexual activity in the theological arena just proves such a one has absolutely no idea what the Bible actually teaches. For anyone to suggest the Bible says homosexual activity is acceptable to God, is nothing short of willful blindness. So to set the record straight once and for all, here is what the Bible teaches on the subject.

Anyone who has heard of the cities of "Sodom and Gommorah" knows that they were notorious hotbeds of homosexuality. Gen 19:5-8 "and they called to Lot and said to him, 'Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may have relations with them.' But Lot went out to them at the doorway, and shut the door behind him, and said, 'Please, my brothers, do not act wickedly.'" The Greek word in the New Testament for homosexuality is literally "a sodomite". Jock is trying to redefine what the term "sodomite" means. (A term that has unchanged in 5000 years, even today- "sodomy") Apart from the fact the city was clearly destroyed by God because of homosexuality in the narrative of Gen 19, even the New Testament clearly states exactly the same thing in Jude 7 "Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example, in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire." Any sinner should always remember that the God who commands us to love our neighbour is the same God who will cast any and all unrepentant sinners into the "eternal fire". Here are more Bible quotes, Lev 18:22-23 "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination." Lev 20:13 "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death." 1 Cor 6:9 "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals" 1 Tim 1:9-10 "realizing the fact that (civil) law is not made for a righteous man, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers" Rom 1:26-27 "For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error."

If the homosexual community chooses to practice homosexuality in privacy, that is there free choice. But let such persons know for certain that the Christian Bible condemns all such practices and God will judge them unfit for the kingdom of heaven if the continue to practice and openly promote homosexual sex.

The Obama administration and their idea of 'freedom of conscience'

On Jan. 20, the Obama administration, specifically Health and Human Services, made it known that it will indeed require, in the words of a U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops news release, "that sterilization and contraception--including controversial abortifacients--be included among 'preventive services' coverage in almost every healthcare plan available to Americans."

The administration is throwing an extremely small bone to opponents of the mandate by delaying its enforcement among faith-based groups until 2013.

Cardinal-designate Timothy Dolan, archbishop of New York and president of the USCCB, promptly denounced the decision.

"In effect, the president is saying we have a year to figure out how to violate our consciences," the cardinal-designate said. "To force American citizens to choose between violating their consciences and forgoing their healthcare is literally unconscionable. It is as much an attack on access to health care as on religious freedom. Historically this represents a challenge and a compromise of our religious liberty."

So much for freedom of conscience.

As a practicing and assenting Catholic, I applaud Archbishop Dolan's statement. Yet I fear it may be too little, too late. Over the last several decades, Catholic leadership in the U.S., with certain notable exceptions, has chosen to remain largely silent in the face of "politically correct" evil; or to dialogue with the devil, so to speak.

Whether it's been mainly out of fear or actual complicity in moral corruption is hard to say, but it's obvious that too many purported Catholics--clergy and religious included--don't care a wit about Catholic moral teaching on abortion, contraception, euthanasia, fornication and homosexual activity. In other words, we can, at least in part, thank a majority of Catholics for electing politicians and supporting elites who have given us a culture of death.

FULFILLMENT OF PROPHECY

The fulfillment of the prophecies of the Bible is a vast subject. In fact, the Messianic prophecies alone have provided enough material for the publication of many books. Other books have been written solely about the Old Testament prophecies concerning certain cities or about certain world empires, while still others consider the fulfillment of Biblical prophecies in the twentieth century.
Some authors have identified more than 300 Old Testament passages that are cited by the New Testament as having been fulfilled by Jesus Christ. The question of the New Testament's treatment of the Old Testament will be treated in a later section, but it is certainly clear that Jesus fulfilled a great many of the Messianic prophecies of the Hebrew Scriptures. The study of the libretto for Handel's Messiah is very instructive in this regard, because although the story line portrays the life of Jesus, many of the passages used for this purpose are taken from Old Testament prophetic passages concerning the Messiah.
Some of the fulfillments of the Messianic prophecies in Jesus were as follows: He was to be the seed of the woman (Gen. 3:15) who was to bruise Satan's head (Gal. 4:4). As the seed of Abraham (Gen. 22:18, Gal. 3:16) and the seed of David (Psalm 132:11, Jer. 23:5, Acts 13:23), he was to come from the tribe of Judah (Gen. 49:10, Heb. 7:14).
He was to come a specified time (Gen. 49:10, Dan. 9:24-25, Luke 2:1), born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14, Matt. 1:18-23), in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2, Matt. 2:1, Luke 2:5,6). Great persons were to visit Him and adore Him (Psalm 72:10, Matt. 2:1-11), and through the rage of a jealous king, innocent children were to be slaughtered (Jer. 31:15, Matt. 2:16-18). He was to be preceded by a forerunner, John the Baptist, before entering His public ministry (Isaiah 40:3, Mal. 3:1, Luke 1:17, Matt. 3:13).
He was to be a prophet like Moses (Deut. 18:18, Acts 3:20- 22), and to have a special anointing of the Holy Spirit (Psalm 45:7, Isaiah 11:2, Isaiah 61:1,2, Matt. 3:16, Luke 4:15-21,43). He was to be a priest after the order of Melchizedek (Psalm 110:4, Heb. 5:5,6). As the servant of the Lord, he was to be a faithful and patient redeemer for the Gentiles as well as for the Jews (Isaiah 42:1-4, Matt. 12:18-21).
His ministry was to begin in Galilee (Isaiah 9:1,2, Matt. 4: 12,16-23); He was later to enter Jerusalem (Zech. 9:9, Matt. 21: 1-5) to bring salvation. He was to enter the temple (Hag. 2:7-9, Mal. 3:1, Matt. 21:12). His zeal for the Lord is mentioned (Psalm 69:9, John 2:17); His manner of teaching was to be by parables (Psalm 78:2, Matt. 13:34-35); His ministry was to be characterized by miracles (Isaiah 35:5-6, Matt. 11:4-6, John 11:47). He was to be rejected by His brethren (Psalm 69:8, Isaiah 53:3, John 1:11, John 7:5), and a "stone of stumbling" to the Jews--a "rock of offense" (Isaiah 8:14, Rom. 9:32, I Pet. 2:8).
He was to be hated without cause (Psalm 69:4, Isaiah 49:7, John 7:48, John 15:25), rejected by the rulers (Psalm 118:22, Matt. 21:42, John 7:48), betrayed by a friend (Psalm 41:9, Psalm 55:12,14, John 13:18,21), forsaken by His disciples (Zech. 13:7, Matt. 26:31-56), sold for 30 pieces of silver (Zech. 11:12, Matt. 26:15), and His price given for the potter's field (Zech. 11:13, Matt. 27:7). He was to be smitten on the cheek (Mic. 5:1, Matt. 27:30), spat upon (Isaiah 50:6, Matt. 27:30), mocked (Psalm 22:7- 8, Matt. 27:31,39-44), and beaten (Psalm 50:6, Matt. 26:67, 27:26,30).

His death by crucifixion is described in Psalm 22. The meaning of His death, as a substitutionary atonement, is provided in Isaiah 53. His hands and feet were to be pierced (Psalm 22:16, Zech. 12:10, John 19:18, John 19:37, John 20:25), yet not one of His bones was to be broken (Ex. 12:46, Psalm 34:20, John 19:33-36). He was to suffer thirst (Psalm 22:15, John 19:28) and be given vinegar to drink (Psalm 69:21, Matt. 27:34). He was to be numbered with the transgressors (Isaiah 53:12, Matt. 27:38).
His body was to be buried with the rich (Isaiah 53:9, Matt. 27:57-60), but was not to see corruption (Psalm 16:10, Acts 2:31). He was to be raised from the dead (Psalm 2:7, 16:10, Acts 13:33), and ascend to the right hand of God (Psalm 68:18, Luke 24:51, Acts 1:9, Psalm 110:1, Heb 1:3).1
It is sometimes asserted that Jesus did not fulfill all of the Messianic expectations outlined in the Hebrew Scriptures, only many of them. It must be remembered, however, that Jesus said repeatedly that he would be coming again in glory, and there is every reason to expect these additional passages to be fulfilled at that time. Certainly the vast number of prophecies that he did fulfill defies all odds, such that, after considering them carefully, it would take more faith to believe he was not the Messiah than to believe that he was.
The Biblical prophecies concerning Tyre, Sidon, Capernaum, Chorazin, Bethsaida, Samaria, Ashkelon, Gaza, Jericho, Jerusalem, Palestine, Moab, Ammon, Egypt, Assyria, and Edom, to name just a few places, have all been fulfilled to the letter. Detailed explanations of how these prophecies have been fulfilled can be found in many books on the subject.

One of many examples would be the prophecy concerning Tyre found in Ezekiel 26: 3-5,7,12,14,16:

Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Tyrus, and will cause many nations to come up against thee, as the sea causeth his waves to come up. And they shall destroy the walls of Tyrus, and break down her towers: I will also scrape her dust from her, and make her like the top of a rock. It shall be a place for the spreading of nets in the midst of the sea.... For thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will bring upon Tyrus Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon ... and they shall lay thy stones and thy timber and thy dust in the midst of the water.... And I will make thee like the top of a rock: thou shalt be a place to spread nets upon; thou shalt be built no more: for I the Lord have spoken it, saith the Lord God.... Then all the princes of the sea shall come down from their thrones, and lay away their robes, and put off their broidered garments: they shall clothe themselves with trembling.
This prophecy was written in 590 B.C. Four years later, Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, began laying siege to Tyre, a process that took thirteen years. When he finally captured the city, he broke down her walls and towers, but the rulers of Tyre had taken everything of value to an island about half a mile off the coast. Nebuchadnezzar simply destroyed the coastal city, left it in ruins, and returned to Babylon.

In 322 B.C., Alexander the Great decided to capture the island city of Tyre. In order to do this, he built a causeway from the mainland to the island, taking stones, timber, and dirt from the ruined city. His army then marched to the island city and captured it. Other neighboring cities were so frightened by the conquest of Tyre that they surrendered to Alexander without opposition.

Hello everyone and welcome to The Vortex where lies and falsehoods are trapped and
exposed. I’m Michael Voris.
This is the fourth part of a five part discussion all this week on Men, Masculinity and the Catholic Faith. Today’s topic .. how feminism has emasculated the Church.
Men and women are different. As obvious as that seems .. because it is, .. not all people in the Church accept this. There has been and continues to be a strong push in the Church to equate the masculine with the feminine.
We see this in inclusive language for example when the Holy Trinity is spoken of either as being composed of what is feminine or at the very least described in gender neutral terms .. replacing Father Son and Holy Spirit with Creator .. Redeemer and Sanctifier for example. It also crops up in many places in Mass and official prayers and hymns.
The philosophical problems arises when people try to make the concept of EQUALITY
the same as BEING THE SAME THING. A simple illustration helps here. If I have a
one dollar bill .. it is equal to .. in its vale and worth .. the same as this stack of four quarters .. but the paper and the coins are not the SAME thing.
Despite their equal worth .. they are different .. not only in substance .. what they are made of .. but also in function. You can’t put a dollar bill into the standard parking meter .. but you can insert quarters for example. Equal worth .. different in kind. Equality does not become equal sameness.
But this is the way equality is passed off in modern culture .. an idea which has roamed free in the Church for decades now .. unchecked .. smashing the place up. Men and women are different .. but much more to the point .. masculinity is absolutely distinct from femininity. (except for Homosexuals)
As detailed in Vortex episodes from earlier this week .. masculinity is characterized as becoming heroic. The man who has attained the fullness of his masculinity is the hero. He is the one who is separated from the community so he may return to it as protector. This is evidenced even in primitive tribal communities.
In the time away he struggles, fights, combats,finds himself, discovers his
manhood. All men face the problem of establishing their identity as a man. Raised in the comfort and protection of the feminine .. it becomes a struggle to leave and engage in the fight.
But this is precisely what a MAN must do. He is not called to a life of ease and comfort in the bosom of the feminine .. but to go out and confront the ravages of life .. face the dangers .. and find himself .. his identity .. his masculinity .. in the struggle.
By definition .. this involves a separation .. an aloneness. And from a Catholic
perspective .. this is the very definition of what it is to be holy. The word holy comes from an ancient word meaning .. to be called out .. to be separated. So despite the disagreement of modernists and cultural liberals .. read feminists and their making allies in the Church and the world .. the very paramount expression of masculinity, is to "BE HOLY".
If this is the case .. then why do SO MANY men more than women have such a problem
with religion .. the spiritual .. the public commitment to the Holy. The answer is simple -faith .. spirituality .. religion have become the haunts of the feminine .. the cult of femininity.
And this is why there is so much carnage in the world today .. why we find so much
abandonment of authentic masculinity in men. Men should be anchored to the holy, but
they perceive access to the holy as somehow blocked to them by the goddesses of
feminism and so they go in search of some other place to be a man .. to express their
masculinity.
Sons join gangs .. treat women as objects to be dominated sexually and physically ..
engage in self-destructive behaviors at rates incredibly higher than women could ever
dream of. Men drink, gamble, fornicate, abuse drugs and are sitting in jail for violent crimes way out of all proportion to their numbers compared to women.
These sons are ill-equipped to be fathers not to mention husbands. They are incapable of passing on manhood to their sons because they aren’t authentic men themselves. One of the very first principles of philosophy is – you cannot give what you do not have. It is impossible for them to impart masculinity to their own sons.
And this is largely owing to the surrender to the cult of the feminine. And when we turn to the Church .. whose founder is the Perfect Man .. we see that the feminine has virtually overrun it. It does not produces heroes or patriarchs to any measurable degree any longer as it once did.
Western Christianity has largely abandoned the idea of CONFRONTING and
COMBATING evil .. the masculine approach .. and been taken in by the feminine
approach of trying to create community and common ground and dialog.
Many men are off put by this approach. They see it rightly, in many cases, as wimping
out. Our Blessed Lord NEVER created nor looked to create common ground with evil.
He came to destroy it and vanquish it. But he did not seek to destroy for the sake of
destruction .. but to protect and love his own.
Somewhere in the depths of the male psyche .. there seems to be an inherent desire to
assert control and dominance. If channeled properly .. which the pursuit of holiness
provides .. in fact was designed for .. then peace and harmony follow in the wake of
destroying the all that is unholy.
But if that inherent desire for dominance is not channeled properly, meaning for the
sake and protection of the other .. then it can become a massively destructive force and in fact .. has. Until masculinity is retrieved in the Church .. sacrifice for the sake of the good the true and the beautiful .. men will continue to see the Church and religion as the arena of the exclusively feminine and will stay away and if there is one thing that the world needs now .. perhaps more than any other time in its history .. it’s Holy Men.

It’s really only talked about in hushed tones these days because of fear or worry over being labeled chauvinist or whatever .. but no matter how you slice it up .. the
Christianity in general and Catholicism specifically has been reduced to a faith which appeals much more to the feminine.
The masculine is pretty much outright rejected or told to be subject to the feminine and this has had a devastating effect on the faith. Of course, we see this same cultural occurrence as well.
Every where the societal norm is that men .. or more specifically .. the masculine is
denigrated. Men are made to appear as weak or buffoons in everything from TV
commercials .. where the “smarter, hipper, more with it” woman almost always bests the man .. to TV programs where the male is often just nice loveable dunce who has
engaging smile and that’s about all.
Men have been robbed of their masculinity and with that theft .. the entire notion of
masculinity and ALL that comes with it has been reduced to little else than a video game where young boys shoot and kill zombies or whatever.
It’s fair at this point to ask – what is masculinity? First off .. maleness and masculinity are not the same thing. Being an adult male is simply not enough. One must BE A MAN. Being a man is a CHOICE to live a certain way. It comes from the will.
Maleness is a biological .. physical quality .. masculinity is a spiritual and cultural quality that does have SOME connection to the biology of being male, but there is more to it. A male must be brought into .. taught .. initiated into the life of masculinity. This being brought into masculinity .. moving from a boy to a man is a current which flows through vast amounts of western as well as world literature .. from Homer and Hamlet .. to Hemingway to F. Scott Fitzgerald. In fact .. much of the plots and narratives of the most famous stories we have as a culture revolve around the successful or failed attempts of young males striving to become men. So what is masculinity? The first thing to express is from the realm of the biological. The female is the norm .. the baseline .. the standard. It is from the female that the male must biologically be differentiated. Science has concluded and proven that in the womb the small embryo will develop into a female naturally .. unless certain “chemical baths” wash over the developing human being. So the male comes about only through a positive action.
This biology has far reaching effects in the infant and young boy. Unlike the young
toddler girl who only needs to differentiate herself as merely a separate being from
mother .. the young boy must differentiate himself as not just separate but ALSO of a
different kind altogether. Hence the male has to “leave the feminine” and go in search of what he actually is.
He needs to be taught and learn what it is to be masculine. As an aside, History may
well record this signal fact as the overriding condemnation of our age .. that when young males turned to find out who they were .. there were no masculine men or authentic fathers to teach them or from which to learn.
Growing into manhood .. the rite of initiation .. has been a staple of every civilization right back to the beginning of recorded history. In more tribal times .. boys were taken from the protective embrace of the feminine and led by the village men into a various rites almost always involving hardship, danger and bloodshed .. from which they emerged as men.
They then returned to the community which the feminine had gathered together .. and
protected it. This then becomes the defining understanding of the masculine that the
feminine the community must be taken leave of .. and hardships must be borne so that
the bit becomes a man and comes back now to feminine not to be protected by it .. but
indeed to protect it. If you think about this .. it is precisely what the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity did.
The people of God .. Israel .. were like a bride to God .. it was the feminine. God
indeed .. often spoke of the collective people as His spouse.
The Second Person departs from the feminine .. in a manner of speaking .. and moves
from infant male to manhood through blood and suffering .. through sacrifice in other
words .. and then returns to the feminine as protector .. to His Bride the Church.
Our Blessed Lord then becomes the example of masculinity par excellence. He is the
perfect male .. willing to depart from the community so that he may return to it as
protector and provider. What defines the masculine therefore is one phrase .. a
willingness to sacrifice for the other. It is in this way that we can say God is masculine ..not male .. but masculine.
But what happens to our understanding of God if our understanding of masculinity is
abolished swamped by an over emphasis on the feminine. Within the Church herself ..
much disaster arises. In liturgy, the Mass for example the notion of sacrifice the masculine is overcome by the feminine which is much more oriented to the community. The emphasis has shifted from the altar to the people. And we have seen this in parish after parish all over the Western World.
Women run everything and men leave .. from altar girls to lectors .. to every kind of
ministry there is in the Church. In a 1987 University of Notre Dame study of Catholic
Parish life since Vatican II .. the following facts emerged.
85 percent of those involved in social justice work and tending to the poor and sick are women.
80 percent plus of those involved in CCD and RCIA work were women.
80 percent of prayer groups are women. 75 percent of bible study religious discussion
groups are women. 60 percent of the time youth groups are headed up by women.
In country after country in the west and culture after culture .. poll after poll suggests that men view being outwardly religious or spiritual as feminine. This has robbed the faith of one of its most foundational and vivifying truths .. that the faith is ultimately about sacrifice for the sake of community .. the willingness to shed blood if necessary. This notion appeals to men at their core .. we are hard wired for it .. and when it is absent from the daily life of the Church .. men sense they have nothing to identify with and they leave.

This fissure is quite capable of leading to other types of divisions and exposing great divides among the faithful. Before Ronald Reagan .. much of the Catholic vote went to democrats. There are a host of reasons for this emerging from the immigrant Catholic experience in urban areas of the United States.
But since Ronald Reagan and the political attention to eroding morals and values in the culture, the Catholic vote has become an almost 50-50 proposition .. with serious
faithful Catholics unable and unwilling to support child-killing and sodomy promoting
politicians regardless of what they say about things like immigration and health care. And this is the point that seems to have been missed by many leaders in the Church. They seem stuck back in a perpetual pre-Reagan era of Catholics=Democrat except for abortion. The truth is that .. many Catholic voters who are also faithful Catholics are turned off by this.
And now one who is turned off by it is running for president. And the position put
forward by some of the bishops has created a conflict where a conflict did not need to exist.
It’s a very interesting conundrum for the hierarchy in America .. Catholic candidates
unabashedly saying the bishops are flat out wrong on policy statements .. those same
candidates getting endorsed by Catholic organizations that use the name Catholic and
Catholic voters lining up behind those candidates and organizations with their money and their votes.
Even the esteemed author George Weigel recently came out and said in article that it
would perhaps be wise for bishops to stop issuing policy statements on every issue that arises in the culture or political arena.
The problem is that their authority and excellent teaching on the intrinsically evil issues of abortion and same-sex marriage is seen to be watered down when they support policy initiatives that do NOT deal with intrinsic evils put forward by the same party that keeps the killing and sexual immorality chugging along.
It causes massive confusion among the faithful and results in them having to choose sides and politically .. at least since the days of the Reagan Presidency .. more and more Catholics are being forced to choose against the bishops. Just ask Candidate Santorum.

Now .. under the category of .. SERIOUSLY?!? .. Last week .. a little firestorm started up
on the campaign trail because a Baptist minster made a comment that Mormonism is a
cult.
Mitt Romney is Mormon and that was the context of the comment. When pressed further
on the topic .. Rev. Robert Jeffrees .. a senior pastor at the first Baptist Church in Dallas didn’t back down .. although he did get more specific.
He said he wasn’t talking about a sociological cult .. like Charles Manson or Jim Jones ..but a theological cult. He said that Christianity has never viewed Mormons as
Christians .. and he’s actually right there.
But then he went on further and here’s where it gets ridiculous. He asked rhetorically ..how COULD Mormonism be Christian .. get this now .. because the Mormons came on the scene 1800 years after Jesus .. have their own book in addition to the authentic scriptures and have their own doctrines.
Awesome. Really! He just perfectly summed up why PROTESTANTISM is a heresy ..
meaning the Baptist faith, evangelical faith Pentecostal faith .. Episcopalianism ..
Presbyterianism .. and all the other 40-thousand protestant denominations.
It’s especially rich coming from a Baptist preacher. He points out that Mormonism is not really Christian .. and rightly so .. because it only began 1800 years after Jesus. LOL!
Yep. Those Johnny come lately Mormons. Nothing like that time tested enduring
authentic expression of Christianity known as Baptist which began MUCH closer in time
to Christ .. only 1600 years after the Ascension.
A HAH! The Mormons aren’t real Christians because they started 1800 years after the
ascension .. they obviously missed the 1600 years later cutoff that allowed the Baptists to sneak in under the wire.
Then on to his point about the Mormons having their own Scriptures. Yea. Again true
enough. They have the Bible .. the wrong one by the way The King James .. and also
have the book of mormon .. a strange strange book if there ever was one as far as
religious writs go.But what the preacher fails to recognize.. again .. is that all of the 40 thousand Protestant
sects .. one of which HE belongs to .. also have their own set of scriptures manifested in two ways.
One .. the Protestant Bible is incomplete owning to Martin Luther and his zippo box
cutter where he cut out 7 .. count ‘em SEVEN whole books from the Bible .. the same
bible which had been in use for over a thousand years and still is to this day.
He also carved certain chapters and passages of other books leaving them deficient ..
even on the best of days. He was ready to go to town on the New Testament as well
before his slightly .. slightly .. more sober reformation pals told him to chill out and put the knife down. Add to this that he essentially said his new and deformed Bible could be interpreted by anyone to mean whatever they wanted it to mean. And this happens every single Sunday in tens of thousands of Protestant pulpits week after week .. century after century.
So in the end you have nearly the very same situation among the 40 thousand heretical
Protestant faiths .. that preacher Jeffrees is complaining about with the Mormons.
And as to the a different set of doctrines.HA. Have you taken a survey of Protestant
doctrines lately? They cant even agree among themselves. Episcopalians cheer
homosexuality .. the Baptists don’t. Presbyterians allow women clergy .. Pentecostals
don’t ..at least some of them, others do. Abortion yes. Abortion no.Fundamentalists
like one thing ..Congregationalists don’t.
Some followers of Calvin support all five of his points known as TULIP which stands
for: Total Depravity, Unconditional election Limited Atonement Irresistible Grace ..
Perseverance of the Saints.
Now some others only support three of those.And still some like four.. but others are
less risky and back only two. C’mon. There is more variety .. which really means
confusion and theological chaos. among Protestants and their so-called doctrines then
there are choices of French or Italian wine.
By the way.There’s another theological war among Protestants.Is alcohol allowed or is
not? When it comes to varying doctrines among Protestants the hits just keep coming.
Now when it comes unchanging doctrine .. one solid ratified forever Scriptural text with only one authentic interpretation and an unbroken line back to the Apostles and Jesus Christ Himself .. perhaps the real point that needs to be made is NOT why Mormonism is not authentically Christian .. which it isn’t .. but why men like preacher Jeffreess haven’t followed their own correct observations out to their logical conclusion and converted to the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Faith.
And just think .. your mother always told you .. never talk about politics or religion. This election is gonna be FUUUUUNNNNN!

Republican presidential hopeful Senator Rick Santorum has ruffled the feathers of the
liberal religious establishment .. in this case .. the Jewish anti-defamation league .. also known as the ADL.
In one of the purest pieces of hypocrisy you are likely to read in the arena where politics and religion cross over .. the ADL has issued a press release telling Santorum to shut up about his religion .. which by the way is Roman Catholicism.
The statement says in part .. "religious appeals to voters are simply unacceptable and un-American." First of all, says who? Abe Foxman of the ADL? Who appointed him the arbiter of what can be said by political candidates?
Secondly .. he never seemed to get all upset when candidate Obama was tromping across
the country and speaking in every protestant church who would let him in.
He never seemed to get upset when the Clintons were barnstorming across the United
States and speaking to every inner-city black Church congregation who would welcome
them. In fact .. Clinton spent soooo much time speaking before church crowds in the inner city, that he was nicknamed “the first black president”.
So where Foxman comes off saying its un-American and unacceptable is quite the
mystery. Perhaps he means its un-American and unacceptable when an actual
BELIEVING traditional Christian .. in this case .. Catholic says it.
BTW – Am I allowed to say “catholic”? Just sayin’!
Anyway .. this is the default position of the liberal political class .. of which the Jewish Anti-Defamation League is a prominent cheerleader and card-carrying member .. despite their claims to be .. um .. non-partisan.
Just a 5 second scroll through their homepage will reveal that they have come down
squarely on the side of every liberal political position known to man .. from partial birth abortion .. to “regular” abortion to individuals of the same gender engaging in sex with one another and demanding it be called marriage.
Yep ..nary a cause célèbre of the perverted political agenda goes by without the ADL
right there with their smug self-righteous pronunciations on what’s allowed to be said and what’s not.
And of course if someone challenges their stance on something .. the liberal elite PR
machine kicks into high gear and the dreaded .. conversation ending .. charge of anti-Semitism is leveled against all opposition .. much the same as the charge of racism is leveled against opponents of Obama’s.
Well, while we are on the topic of all these “isms” sure seems to me that the ADL is
guilty of propagating the foul social illness of anti-Catholicism. After all .. Rick Santorum is Catholic .. loud and proud about it as a matter of fact .. and he committed the political heresy of using the name Jesus NOT in connection with the liberal agenda. After years of having quite successfully hijacked Jesus for their own political purposes .. liberals simply cannot stand to see Him spoken about in actual TRUTHFUL terms .. such as his calling out of sin and evil and the consequences of a political and cultural order not conformed to His Divine Will.

Confusing the Faithful

exposed. I’m Michael Voris.
Perhaps one of the most dangerous things that has occurred in the Church these past fifty
years is the lack of clarity when it comes to things “Catholic”.
This ends up creating oceans of confusion among the faithful when what is said from
pulpits or press releases or articles in diocesan or national publications is vague and open
to interpretation.
The end of the road effect is simple .. Catholics end up unsure of this or that about the
faith and begin to see Church teaching as malleable and not all that different from other
religions.
They lose their identity as Catholics because they lose their understanding of what
Catholicism is.
And when the Catholic identity is lost .. game over!
Which is why remarks by Chicago’s Cardinal George in the on-going drama of the annual
Chicago Gay Pride parade are causing Catholic blogs to light up.
Without getting into too much background .. the cardinal had likened the idea of a rerouted
gay parade passing in front of a Catholic Church on a Sunday morning to KKK
demonstrations of former days aimed at disrupting Masses.
Of course .. this brought homosexual groups out of the woodwork .. crying that they had
been hurt and demanding an apology. At first Cardinal George defended his comments
and refused to acquiesce to their demands for an apology.
Then a few days later he reversed himself and did in fact apologize .. saying his
comments were not meant to offend or hurt and were motivated by fear for the Church
being victimized by the demonstrations.
But the issue that has now upset faithful Catholics beyond whether what he said
ACTUALLY DID merit an apology is what he said immediately after. Here’s the
relevant quote from the Chicago Tribune story ..
“it [The Church] does encourage the faithful to 'respect everyone’. The question is,'Does
respect mean that we have to change our teaching?' That's an ongoing discussion, of
course.... I still go back to the fact that these are people we know and love and are part of
our families. That's the most important point right now.''
Back up there just a minute and read that again!“Does that mean that we have to change
our teaching? That’s an ongoing discussion, of course ..”
IT IS??? Really? There’s an ongoing discussion in the Catholic Church about whether or
not we have to change a dogmatic teaching? Well, I, and lots of other people never got THAT memo.
Now, to be fair, I don’t think that Cardinal George MEANS to suggest that the Church’s
magisterial teaching is now open for discussion. But to many many people who actively
want to think that .. they now have the ammo .. and that includes people in and out of the
Church.
That’s a bombshell of a headline .. Catholic Church Re-evaluates Homosexuality. Talk
about confusing the faithful.
As a matter of fact, as this whole sorry episode has revealed .. its been nothing but a
source of confusion from beginning to end.
The Cardinal quite correctly pointed out a valid historical reality regarding the KKK and
that groups treatment of the Catholic Church in America. The hatred spewing out of the
homosexual activists camp about the Church has a VERY familiar ring to it.
Then .. the Cardinal is opposed and digs in his heels. Then he reverses course and not
only apologizes .. where many feel an apology wasn’t needed to begin with .. but goes a
step further and suggests that the Church’s teaching isn’t settled .. which of course it very
much is.
Of course driving this back and forth .. flip flop .. on again off again .. multiple
clarification issued story is the politics of whining and hurt feelings.
Every single time the truth is stated .. as it was in the this case as well .. all that has to
happen is someone start sniveling and crying and carrying on about their hurt feelings
and the story automatically shifts from the TRUTH to someone’s hurt feelings.
As members of the Church keep playing this game .. making apologies where none are
really called for .. it reduces the profile of THE TRUTH and makes it appear to be
subjective and having no substance of its own.
And then to come out and say .. whatever the intention .. that the truth of the teaching is
open to discussion pretty much seals the deal for the enemies of the Church. No wonder
they all danced with glee in their multiple press releases saying .. we consider the matter
now closed. His apology was wonderful. For more .. click on the link on this page.
Why wouldn’t they think it was wonderful? The cardinal said the truth. They cried. He
backed down and said it’s all up for discussion anyway. That’s a grand slam for the
Church’s enemies. And the next time this issue comes up .. you can fully expect that this
retreat and confusion will be used as another weapon against the Church.
Saying the truth cannot be dependent on whether someone starts crying when you say it.

Modernism Inherited

Hello everyone and welcome to the Vortex where lies and falsehoods are trapped and
exposed. I’m Michael Voris coming to you from Rome.
Next year .. which is almost here .. marks the 50th anniversary of the opening of Vatican
II. And right now .. in this year we are barely a breath beyond the 100 year anniversary of St. Pope Pius X’s dire warnings about Modernism.
Lots of Catholics .. heck nearly all of them .. haven’t even heard the word Modernism
much less know what the Holy Father was talking about. But in short,it was and is a
movement which .. as he said .. synthesizes .. pulls together all heresies and creates one massively united enemy of the Church.
And the problem is this .. Modernism is the enemy which lies WITHIN the Church. This
is what Pius warned against so ardently .. that he demanded that Catholic clergy and
instructors actually take an oath against it. You heard right. A put up your right hand and
sing the paper actual oath. That started in 1910 and was ended about 50 years later,
right around the time of Vatican II.
As said earlier this week .. I’m 50 and like many other 50 year olds in the Church we
have been first hand eye-witnesses to the destruction of much that followed in the wake
of Vatican II by the very interests that St. Pius X warned against. We 50 year olds grew
up in the Church that was in many ways giving way to Modernism.
Now back in the day .. it was cool and in vogue to be “with it”. That was the
expression ..“with it”. But no one ever said what exactly IT was. Well it’s pretty darn
clear now that IT was modernism. If you don’t believe it .. look around.
Heresy .. some of it bold and affronting .. some of it subtle and coy has gripped the
Church in practically every aspect of Her life. This truth needs to be told and it needs to be told loudly.
You see the loud mouth Modernists in seminaries and chanceries and social movements
in the Church .. who needed to raise a ruckus so they could overthrow the established
order back in the day .. the 1960’s and 1970’s .. when we 50 year olds were snotty kids ..
they have now settled in to every corner of the Church.
They don’t need to be loudmouths anymore. They control the levers of power. What is
for them to shout about? They have their will of things. And they have reproduced ..
hiring and promoting and ordaining like-minded friends and allies into chanceries and
seminaries and parish staffs and universities and every other imaginable aspect of
Catholic life.
THIS generation of Modernists doesn’t look anything like their hippie .. habit discarding
forefathers did when we 50 year olds were kids. Those “with it” types had long hair,
wore peace signs around their neck on dangly chains .. figured out every way they could
to incorporate tie dye patterns into vestments and on and on. They made statements ..
loud and clear. They needed to. You can’t storm the palace looking like the palace guard.
Just ask the occupy crowd. You need youth and big mouths and they had them in ample
supply.
Today .. with their ideas firmly entrenched at practically every level of the establishment
Church .. they have thrown away their hippy outfits for more polyester comfort. And
they don’t rail against the establishment .. they ARE the establishment .. established modernism.
But they WILL rail against those who seek to point them out. Lift a finger or raise a
voice to reveal their true identities and suddenly all the vim and vigor of their halcyon
days returns as though they were 30 again .. when they were lying to and deceiving us.
the children who grew up in the aftermath of the Second Vatican Council.
This is exactly what Blessed John Paul II encountered as he realized that the Church
needed purifying. He said in 2002 in reference to the homosexual clergy sex abuse
scandal ..“So much pain, so much sorrow must lead to a holier priesthood, a holier
episcopate, and a holier Church.”
The show forth of the Modernist heresy running wild in the Church since the close of the Second Vatican Council has been rabid sexual immorality on the part of laity and clergy and all that it has spawned including the deceitful cover up and silence on the part of not a small number of bishops.
The refusal to teach the truth forcefully and without apology has led to this current crisis and the Modernists do everything they can to prevent the truth from being announced completely.
John Paul recognized this which is why he set about to produce a new Catechism ..
introduce an updated Code of Canon Law .. re-awaken a great love of Our Blessed
Mother .. preach about the theology of the body in a sex-saturated world and hammer
down liberation theology. All he did was resisted every step of the way.
He prepared the way for Benedict to advance the purification of the Church. And very
aware of the viper’s den he was stepping into at the beginning of his reign as Pope .. he sadly sermonized at his first Mass as Pope ..“Pray for me, that I may not flee for fear of the wolves.”
Benedict .. in his role as head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith for nearly 25 years was very well aware of how far Modernism had infected the Church .. was well
aware of the ravenous wolves all around him. And now he was Pope. And just when like
John Paul was Pope .. their office had been protected by the Holy Spirit from preaching the Modernist heresy.
The first group of Modernists shoved and pushed their way to the front of the line and flat out lied to the children in their charge. As they moved on in years .. they made certain that they kept their agenda moving along. But as we grew up .. we just believed what was told to us, as well as what was not told to us.
Now many Catholics have no point of reference on what it is to BE catholic. And why
would they? Where exactly would they have ever heard it? From the homosexual priest
who quietly dismisses the Church’s moral teaching so he can live his own lifestyle? Or how abut the ex-nun .. angry at any real man she encounters because she disdains her own biology?
Or what about the bishop who is so much more concerned about finances than he is the
faith that the motto on his Coat of Arms should read – don’t rock the boat? And of course
there is always the parish religious ed director or her counterpart downtown at Church
headquarters who believe being Catholic is little else than being nice – although much of
the time – THEY aren’t.
See .. the first children who grew up in the wake of Vatican II .. for us .. this is the only
Church we’ve ever really known .. the Church infected with the Modernism that Pope
Pius .. SAINT Pope Pius warned about. The Church that has found itself unable to
confront the evil of Modern time because the wolves inside the Church have done all they
can to ally the Church WITH it.
The modernists in the Church who emerged from underground immediately after Vatican
II to seize control had this exact vision of the world in mind. An immoral place .. devoid
in every possible way of God .. where human intellect .. such as it is .. reigns supreme
and we are no longer beholding to those antiquated medieval thoughts like objective
morality .. especially in the areas of sexual license.
So .. they grabbed control of the one institution on the face of earth that was capable of
battling the evil and neutered it. If the Catholic Church does not lead the way in battling
evil .. than she LOSES her way and so does the world. This is why abortion is not going
away .. why homosexual marriage is advancing like a brush fire and so forth. Modernism
is a prevailing current in the Church .. for now. Understand it. Face it. Admit it. And
then do something about it.
And if you are one of the eldest children of Vatican II .. the 50 year olds .. come to terms
with the reality that we were lied to and we were robbed and even to this day our
inheritance has still not been returned to us.
The Modernists .. the ones who lied to us when we were altar boys and in grade school ..
their offspring who now run things are refusing to give us back what is ours by right .. the
authentic Catholic Faith. They want us to be content with false ecumenism and
Protestantized Masses and handing money over for “social justice” and bringing in
converts who have only been taught SOME of the faith. They pay lip service to the Pope
but fight him continually.
They want us to accept a Church in retreat while at the same time they insist that it is not
in retreat. And when we don’t .. they smear us with terms like angry .. uncharitable ..
mean-spirited.(sound like "Itchy Watch?) Uh. Wrong. We were the ones lied to and robbed. And we want back what has been taken from us.
And just like THEY did when we were children .. if we can’t have what we want .. what
is ACTUALLY ours .. then we are gonna take it .. but our weapons will be truth .. the
ultimate antidote to the poison of sin .. and knowledge. And without the tie-dye shirts and
head bands and peace chains. We used to quietly snicker at how stupid they all looked
anyway.

50 Yard Line

Hello everyone and welcome to the Vortex where lies and falsehoods are trapped and
exposed. I’m Michael Voris.
In the United States we are entering into the playoffs for the National Football League to determine who will play in the Super Bowl.
And there is a perfect analogy here with the Church as She struggles through the current crisis in which She finds Herself.
The teams that advance to the Super Bowl and the eventual winner will not have done so by settling for reaching the 50 yard line .. just the middle of the field. They will have done so by striking for the end zone AND reaching it.
You don’t score touchdowns by reaching the 50! There is much pressure these days from WITHIN the Church to settle for the 50 yard line.
Stay in the middle we hear. Always steer a middle course. Don’t rock the boat. Don’t
ever be controversial when you are preaching about the gospel. Ridiculous!
What saint in heaven EVER pursued that strategy? Was it steering a middle course ..
playing to reach just the 50 yard line when Almighty God totally and completely
confounded Satan and joined human nature to His Divinity.
Was it a 50 yard line play when the Holy Spirit descended on the Apostles and St. Peter kicked down the door and cried out to the Jews present that Jesus Christ is the Messiah! 3000 converted that day!
The victory always goes to the bold, the intrepid, the daring – to those willing to pay the price to strike for the end zone. ALWAYS.
This posture of appeasement with the secular culture so favored by many in the
establishment structures within the Church is a fool’s game. You get nowhere .. but
appear to be advancing. But there’s the key word .. only APPEAR to be advancing.
Anyone who follows football knows that often times .. games will have these neutral
momentum spans in them .. when neither team really does anything .. they just keep
punting back and forth to each other .. hanging out around the 50 yard line .. but not really gaining any meaningful yards.
This is a fitting analogy for the condition of the Church today in the west as it dukes it out with modernist and relativist secularism. A clear statement here or there about the sanctity of marriage on the one hand .. while allowing dissident priests and nuns to spew their anti-Christ delusions on the other.
Make a nice speech here .. while allowing a university conference to totally undermine the Magisterium there.
Now .. two things need to be noted in this analogy. First the score .. and second .. the time. Holding serve .. to borrow a tennis phrase for a moment .. is fine if you are in the lead. But the establishment Church would have to be completely out of their minds to look around and think that they are in the lead.
Just count parish closings for starters. In fact .. in the language of sports .. the current score is a blowout with the opposition in the lead.
The second issue is the clock .. tick tock .. tick tock. Many times .. the outcome of the game comes down to good clock management .. knowing the moment when it arrives .. pushing your advantage .. sensing the opponent’s weakness and striking hard AT THE RIGHT TIME.
Current affairs would suggest that the Church is getting blown out of the stadium ..
unable to even muster a game plan .. much less execute it properly.
Case in point .. if you go to virtually any comments box on a non-Catholic blog and read the comments on stories about the Pope for example .. you have to click out fast because of the horrendous filthy slanderous things that are said.
The “approved” Catholic media and those other Catholic media outfits that happily align themselves with the institutional power structures to fatten their own bellies .. have such a myopic vision of the Catholic world that is beggars belief.
Too many in the establishment are all too happy to play to them instead of battling the opponent. Meanwhile .. time is running out .. the score continues get more and more lopsided and the whole scene is cracking at the seams.
Does anyone who’s plugged in in the Catholic world REALLY believe .. to pick just ONE
example .. that homosexual marriage isn’t going to be legal in the United States in the next few years. Heck, poll after poll shows majorities of self-identified Catholics more willing to be “accepting” of it .. especially younger Catholics.
We are getting beaten badly fellow Catholics for three reasons. The coaches don’t have a game plan. The opponent does. And we seem content with just reaching the 50 and ignoring the end zone. Don’t be surprised then or ask for a play to reviewed when the final gun goes off.

Christmas Division

Hello everyone and welcome to the Vortex where lies and falsehoods are trapped and
exposed. I’m Michael Voris.
In this wonderful season of Christmas .. the Holy Catholic Church holds out a very
sobering reality .. that this little babe did not come to unite .. but to divide.
Now that will probably fly right in the face of every politically correct inanity you have
been told and perhaps even heard from some pulpits or read in religious periodicals
recently .. but it’s absolutely true.
This is why within the octave of Christmas .. the eight days beginning on Christmas ..
that we celebrate not just the feasts but the MARTYRDOMS of not one but three
different martyrs .. or more specifically groups of martyrs.
Immediately on the heels of all the Christmas frivolity and excitement .. the VERY
NEXT DAY .. December 26th .. we stop and remember the martyrdom of St. Stephen who
swore allegiance to the child of Bethlehem and was viciously killed for it. Division.
Two days later .. on the 28th of December .. we recall the horror of the children
slaughtered by King Herod who hated the Christ child because he feared for his throne.
Again .. Division.
And then on December 29th .. the commemoration of the English Bishop Thomas Beckett
who was murdered in his own Canterbury cathedral by agents of King Henry II .. to
whom the popular quote is ascribed .. “won’t someone rid my of this turbulent priest”.
Not for nothing that within the first four days of Christmastide do we encounter three
different days for martyrs .. because the child of Bethlehem isn’t about candy canes and
sentimentality .. but rather .. about the war and bloodshed that will come about as a result
of Him establishing His Reign.
He Himself said .. “Do not think that I came to send peace upon earth: I came not to send
peace, but the sword.”
The Church has no desire for us to lose sight of the battle that we are in .. indeed .. the
battle itself is actually engaged because of Christmas .. the appearance among us of the
savior who will grow to full maturity and wage a heavenly campaign against the forces of darkness.
And here is a little something that many Catholics are perhaps not aware of .. Tradition
has it the wise men returned to their countries and ultimately were martyred due to their
unflinching resolve to worship the one true God.
After gazing on the child in the manger .. the authentic response is now be willing to pay
the cost of discipleship .. no matter how high.

Time to Get Serious

Hello everyone and welcome to the Vortex where lies and falsehoods are trapped and
exposed. I’m Michael Voris.
Now that a major part of all the holiday hoopla is behind us .. its time to get serious about the task at hand.
And we can get our marching orders as Catholics right from the Holy Father. On New
Year’s Day he said the following ..“It seems as if a shadow has fallen over our time.”
He couldn’t be more correct. And he made a special point of talking ABOUT, and TO the
young. Its is the younger generation that has inherited this awful mess that the world now finds itself in.
College graduates struggling to find jobs. For example the unemployment rate in Spain
for those between 18-39 is 50 percent.
In the United States .. a recent poll from a prestigious polling agency found that
Americans over 39 now believe .. for the first time ever .. that the younger generation will be less likely to achieve the American Dream than THEIR generation was .. which is a short-hand way of saying that the great American experiment is beginning to unravel.
Not terribly surprising though since the entire edifice was built on the assumption of a prevailing morality which has receded and evaporated to such a degree that what was once considered immoral in many instances doesn’t even register on the morality radar anymore.
So what about the young people? Our Holy Father went on to tell them not to give into
discouragement, saying they “can offer new hope” to the world. You bet they can .. we
have a slew of young people .. the very audience that Pope Benedict is talking TO and
ABOUT working right in these studios.
But there is an even deeper question here. WHO is going to give the young people hope?
The only hope there is of course is Jesus Christ .. but someone .. must make Him present to the world .. people .. individuals MUST do this. It must be their life’s work .. their goal .. their ambition .. their reason for getting out of bed.
The old world is collapsing .. major changes .. huge transformations are in the offing and coming very soon. Economies are rocked .. it’s now widely believed for example that the Euro will no longer exist come the spring .. if not sooner.
The fall of the Euro will have far reaching and near calamitous effects throughout the entire global economy .. but most especially in the west if economists are to be believed.
A new world .. a new way of people being in relationship to each other as a society is forming behind the scenes. The exact nature of this new world is not yet known .. but from all the early indications .. its almost a certainty that whoever emerges to “take the lead” so to speak .. will not be happily disposed toward the Catholic Church.
All societal markers right now point to a new world .. or at least a transitional world that will continue to isolate the Catholic Church and marginalize Her certainly in the culture at large and most likely in the implementation of laws.
Last year .. the Holy Father compared the collapse of the Roman Empire to the
transformation going on in our own times as we pass from the old world to the new.
His words which linked the collapse of Rome to today’s western civilization are “the sun was setting over an entire world.”
It is beyond dispute that lights are going out all over the world in our own day as well.
So the big question is this. What does this mean for the Church? We know that She will survive until the end of time. What we don’t know is what FORM that will take. Recall that She spent essentially her first three centuries almost totally underground.
Even as She emerged from the catacombs to construct what came to be known as
Western civilization .. she was continually threatened from every side and racked by
schism and heresy from within and emperors and warlords from without.
In our day .. it seems as though all these threats are present at the same time and with greater force than ever before. What this means is that Catholics must now concern themselves with one thing and one thing only .. the preservation of the Faith in the rapidly descending New Dark Ages.
The Church is here now in the present AND will be out there .. in the future. But in the meantime .. there is the great need to build the bridge from the present to that future.
This will primarily be the work of the young under the tutelage of the few remaining
faithful Catholics who lived through as well as contributed to the current wreckage of the Church .. not to mention the culture at large.
What CAN emerge as the world falls apart is a new and more vibrant Church that today
seems only like fantasy .. but in the end will come forth from the carnage to once again shape human destiny.
But the cost of such of an undertaking will be monumental .. ranging from martyrdom .. both red and white .. as well as total dedication of lives and fortunes. In this war .. there is no détente. You are either on the winning side or the losing side. Time to get serious.

Pope Saint Pius X noted that it is eminently possible for a Modernist, who has a "double mind," to be true to his Modernism part of the time while sounding like a Catholic most of the time:

The Modernists completely invert the parts, and of them may be applied the words which another of Our predecessors Gregory IX, addressed to some theologians of his time: "Some among you, puffed up like bladders with the spirit of vanity strive by profane novelties to cross the boundaries fixed by the Fathers, twisting the meaning of the sacred text...to the philosophical teaching of the rationalists, not for the profit of their hearer but to make a show of science...these men, led away by various and strange doctrines, turn the head into the tail and force the queen to serve the handmaid."

This will appear more clearly to anybody who studies the conduct of Modernists, which is in perfect harmony with their teachings. In their writings and addresses they seem not unfrequently to advocate doctrines which are contrary one to the other, so that one would be disposed to regard their attitude as double and doubtful. But this is done deliberately and advisedly, and the reason of it is to be found in their opinion as to the mutual separation of science and faith. Thus in their books one finds some things which might well be approved by a Catholic, but on turning over the page one is confronted by other things which might well have been dictated by a rationalist. When they write history they make no mention of the divinity of Christ, but when they are in the pulpit they profess it clearly; again, when they are dealing with history they take no account of the Fathers and the Councils, but when they catechize the people, they cite them respectfully. In the same way they draw their distinctions between exegesis which is theological and pastoral and exegesis which is scientific and historical. So, too, when they treat of philosophy, history, and criticism, acting on the principle that science in no way depends upon faith, they feel no especial horror in treading in the footsteps of Luther and are wont to display a manifold contempt for Catholic doctrines, for the Holy Fathers, for the Ecumenical Councils, for the ecclesiastical magisterium; and should they be taken to task for this, they complain that they are being deprived of their liberty. Lastly, maintaining the theory that faith must be subject to science, they continuously and openly rebuke the Church on the ground that she resolutely refuses to submit and accommodate her dogmas to the opinions of philosophy; while they, on their side, having for this purpose blotted out the old theology, endeavor to introduce a new theology which shall support the aberrations of philosophers. Three Resolutions

Hello everyone and welcome to the Vortex where lies and falsehoods are trapped and
exposed. I’m Michael Voris.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year as well. Even as the Christmas season is still in
full swing, it’s that time of year when many people make resolutions and then see how
fast they can brake them. Of course, setting about to drop ten pounds or eat healthier is a far cry from the even more strenuous demands of the spiritual life.
But being resolved to increase in holiness is the very goal of the Catholic – and not just at the beginning of the year.
So here are three suggested resolutions to assist in a life of increased holiness.

Resolution #1 – resolve to firmly fight against the deplorable lack of knowledge of the Catholic faith, and mainly on the part of fellow Catholics.
This is going to instantly earn you enemies, or at least people who want little to do with you anymore. Explaining to fellow Catholics that they have an almost less than childlike understanding of what the Church teaches in many areas is not the greatest way to wins friends. Nevertheless it must be done.
You will run head long and full force right into the teeth of post-Modernism and secular relativism that has so gripped your fellow lukewarm or fallen away Catholics. You must be prepared for this reality and ready to explain in kind fashion that they don’t know what they don’t know.
Which will very quickly bring you to ..

Resolution #2 – resolve to discuss in a frank fashion the problems and hurdles in the
structures of the Church establishment and bureaucracy that have in large measure
created and still help support the outstanding ignorance which so many Catholics are in possession of.
Now this too will earn you enemies .. BELIEVE ME. But again, it must be stated as
truthfully as possible. The reason why is very simple.
As you begin to explain to your fellow Catholics that they have a faulty understanding of this or that teaching .. and it will almost always come back to some matter of sexual morality .. they are inevitably going to say to you something like,“Well, Fr. Bob said its ok if we use contraception if we pray about it.” Or.“Sr. Francis Pat says that one day there will be women priests and the Vatican is just slow.”
The rejoinders .. formed by years of deplorable theological training .. if it can be called that .. will go on endlessly and each one will add to the mountain of evidence of exactly WHY you need to be talking to these people in the first place.
Which brings us to the third resolution ..

Resolution #3 – talk about the four last things .. know collectively as the Eschaton ..Death Judgment Heaven and Hell. Please note .. there are FOUR things on that list .. not two.
Today .. because of their horrible training which continues to be upheld in parish after parish and religion class after religion class and RCIA program after RCIA program .. the only two that ever really get mentioned are Death and Heaven.
The Modernists would deny that death happens if they could get away with it .. the same way they deny that .. in effect .. that there is such thing as Judgment as well as Hell. In the current state of affairs .. the theology has been adulterated to such a point that most Catholics think you 1) Die and 2) go to Heaven.
They are not sufficiently warned in advance that the correct order is 1) we Die. 2) We are Judged and then depending on the judgment .. Heaven or Hell.
And since this really is THE WHOLE ENCHILADA .. no resolution to talk about the
faith can be seriously had without the message being expressed in full.
And here is the message in full .. You were created for heaven. The Church is in such a deep deep crisis these days .. that those who have been given charge to tell you the whole truth .. many many many times simply do not. SideNote: God Have Mercy on THEIR souls.
Their lack of telling you the whole truth has left you in a woeful .. as in full of woe ..state of ignorance which makes it very difficult for you to navigate through a world of sin and temptation and live as a son of the light .. which is what you MUST do to attain eternal life in Heaven.
Now .. forget about losing ten pounds or eating better as your primary resolutions and get out there and start evangelizing .. today.

How many Holidays are we celebrating?

In reference to Michael Voris' fine post regarding Christmas vs Holidays.
How many Holidays are we celebrating? For Catholics we are celebrating Christmas,
to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. We are not celebrating Hanukah, Kuwanza,
or any other Holiday but Christmas.
There is a poster on other blogs, "Itchy Watch", that has been attacking my posting of prayers, like the St Faustina "Divine Mercy Prayers", and yet it has been said that he is a Eucharistic Minister. He will attack any Catholic post with his posting of "This is not a catholic website", and yet the question at the top had been started by me which was a question to Catholics of "Do you think it is right for the new Pastor to attack his new parish?"
This same poster has yet to admonish a Wicca poster, that makes fun of the Catholic celebrations, has posted that she does not believe that GOD exists, nor that Jesus ever existed. He will accept those posts without anything to say about them.
Can you believe that he is a Catholic? After 3 years of enduring his types of slanderous posts, I had been advised to ignore him, and to only post what I feel good about the Catholic faith, one of the soundest advices I had received since going on the internet. I found Michael Voris' site of the Vortex, which has explanations and insights much more astute than I could ever be.
I do wish every practicing catholic would visit his site, and listen to what he posts regularly. They are only about 6 or 7 minutes long, and will start your day off in a Catholic mood to looking at the world in which we live in, in a Catholic
way, instead of being part of the Pagan, world we now live in. The Catholic church is not what it once was, as Apostasy has taken hold of our church, and if we do not draw the line in the sand, our children, and grand-children will never know what is it like to be truly Catholic. I would prefer that all Catholic out there, would go to www.realcatholictv.com instead of going to my posts, as he is much more illuminating regarding our Catholic Church, and faith, than I could ever be.

Happy Holidays? Or do Catholics say "Merry Christmas?

Hello everyone and welcome to the Vortex where lies and falsehoods are trapped and
exposed. I’m Michael Voris. Merry Christmas everyone .. I mean .. Happy Holidays.
Actually no I don’t. I MEAN MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!
The cloud of secular-humanism is hovering low and thick this Christmas season as if
barely impossible to hear the greeting Merry Christmas from practically anyone.
When I’m in a store and a clerk says Happy Holidays, I ALWAYS respond Merry
Christmas.
And it’s kinda funny, but many times, the poor little sales clerk looks back with a wry grin and says yea .. merry Christmas .. as if to say with their facial expression .. “yea .. this really is stupid isn’t it that we cant say Merry Christmas without getting in trouble, but I’m glad you said it.”
If only some Catholic parishes would think along the same lines. Last week .. St. Mel’s Catholic Church in Dearborn Michigan in the archdiocese of Detroit had the inane expression Happy Holidays posted on their parish marquis.
A Catholic Parish. How incredibly insulting, stupid, disrespectful and cowardly.
If you call the parish office .. which by the way .. might not be a bad idea .. the phone number is 313-274-0684 .. im not sayin’ im just sayin’ .. but if you call them .. the receptionists will tell you that they have since taken the insulting Happy Holidays sign down as of last week.
But if you ask a follow up question of “why did you have it posted in the first place?” you get the offensive answer that quote – “Because we wish everyone a Happy Holiday, not just Christians.” We don’t want to be offensive.
Now .. if you want to see a living example of the soft underbelly of effeminate
modernistic politically correct cultural moronic inane idiocy run wild in the Church ..look no further than that asinine explanation for why a CATHOLIC PARISH refuses to say MERRY CHRISTMAS .. because they don’t want to be offensive and include
everyone. Maybe the decision to sell out Christ at this parish was made because the parish is close to the largest Muslim enclave outside the Middle East. Perhaps it had nothing to do with it at all and this is just another of the thousands of Catholic parishes that has completely gone off the rails.
In either case .. it beyond ridiculous. It’s rude. Would you be insulted or somehow feel excluded if you drove past a synagogue and saw their sign saying Happy Hanukah?
Again and again .. the liberals in the Church do everything they can imagine to squash Catholic identity and water it down so that no one is bothered by it .. offended by it and so forth.
Yet in 10 years or less .. when there is no one left in this parish and others like it .. and no vocations have come from them and the congregations looks like a senior citizen community center .. and they’re going broke because there aren’t enough people in the pews .. they’ll be first in line to ask for money.
After years of dismantling the faith little by little .. all so no one is ever offended .. they’ll look around at the results of their choices and be unable to figure out what happened.
Talk about offensive and insensitive. It’s Merry Christmas St. Mel’s. Merry
CHRISTmas .. as in Christ .. as in God .. as in Savior of the World .. as in Creator of Mankind. Sheesh.
Do you think people take offense at Christmas songs to such a degree that we should
substitute Happy Holidays wherever we hear the word Christmas .. as in I’m dreaming of a White Happy Holiday .. or .. All I want for Happy Holiday is My two front teeth.
And just where do you stop with this. It’s pretty widely known that various non-
Catholics attend Midnight Mass. Why don’t you just delete the name of the Blessed
Virgin Mary from the Mass in case some Protestants happen to be there .. or get rid of reference to Jesus in case some non-Christians are present .. or why don’t we just blow the whole thing up in case an atheist is sitting in the congregation, dragged there by his girlfriend under emotional duress.
I mean .. we don’t want any of these people to excluded now do we? Afterall .. who
knows .. maybe our sellout of the faith and what we hold dear will convince them that
they should convert. Problem is .. there won’t be anything left for them to convert to......A five year old could figure this out.

"Today bring to Me the Souls who are in the prison of Purgatory,

and immerse them in the abyss of My mercy. Let the torrents of My Blood cool down their scorching flames. All these souls are greatly loved by Me. They are making retribution to My justice. It is in your power to bring them relief. Draw all the indulgences from the treasury of My Church and offer them on their behalf. Oh, if you only knew the torments they suffer, you would continually offer for them the alms of the spirit and pay off their debt to My justice."

Most Merciful Jesus, You Yourself have said that You desire mercy; so I bring into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls in Purgatory, souls who are very dear to You, and yet, who must make retribution to Your justice. May the streams of Blood and Water which gushed forth from Your Heart put out the flames of Purgatory, that there, too, the power of Your mercy may be celebrated.

Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls suffering in Purgatory, who are enfolded in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. I beg You, by the sorrowful Passion of Jesus Your Son, and by all the bitterness with which His most sacred Soul was flooded: Manifest Your mercy to the souls who are under Your just scrutiny. Look upon them in no other way but only through the Wounds of Jesus, Your dearly beloved Son; for we firmly believe that there is no limit to Your goodness and compassion. Amen.

For the first time in dozens of court cases challenging Barack Obama’s eligibility to be president, a judge has ruled that Obama must, in order to be a candidate on the Georgia ballot for president in 2012, meet the constitutional demands for candidates for the office.
A hearing has been scheduled later this month for evidence on the issue that has plagued Obama and his presidency since long before he took office. At issue is the constitutional requirement that a president be a “natural-born citizen.” Some allege he was not born in the U.S. as he has claimed and, therefore, is not eligible.

Others, including top constitutional expert Herb Titus, contend that the term “natural-born citizen,” which is not defined in the Constitution, would have been understood when the document was written to mean the offspring of two U.S. citizens. That argument is supported by a 19th-century U.S. Supreme Court decision
Under that standard, Obama could not qualify, because his father, as identified on the “Certificate of Live Birth” image released by the White House, was a foreign national who came from Kenya to study in the U.S. and never was a citizen.
The ruling came today from Judge Michael M. Malihi of the Georgia state Office of State Administrative Hearings.
In Georgia, a state law requires “every candidate for federal” office who is certified by the state executive committees of a political party or who files a notice of candidacy “shall meet the constitutional and statutory qualifications for holding the office being sought.”
State law also grants the secretary of state and any “elector who is eligible to vote for a candidate” in the state the authority to raise a challenge to a candidate’s qualifications, the judge determined.
While Obama’s attorney, Michael Jablonski, had argued that the requirements didn’t apply to candidates for a presidential primary, the judge said that isn’t how he reads state law.
“Statutory provisions must be read as they are written, and this court finds that the cases cited by [Obama] are not controlling. When the court construes a constitutional or statutory provision, the ‘first step … is to examine the plain statutory language,” the judge wrote. “Section 21-2-1(a) states that ‘every candidate for federal and state office’ must meet the qualifications for holding that particular office, and this court has seen no case law limiting this provision, nor found any language that contains an exception for the office of president or stating that the provision does not apply to the presidential preference primary.”
The decision from Malihi came as a result of a series of complaints that were consolidated by the court. They were brought against Obama’s inclusion on the 2012 election primary ballot by David Farrar, Leah Lax, Cody Judy, Thomas Malaren and Laurie Roth, represented by attorney Orly Taitz; David Weldon represented by attorney Van R. Irion of Liberty Legal Foundation; and Carl Swensson and Kevin Richard Powell, represented by J. Mark Hatfield.

The judge’s decision was to refuse to dismiss the complaints, an action that had been sought by Obama. He also granted a motion to sever the cases, and he scheduled a hearing at 9 a.m. on Jan. 26 for the complaint brought by Weldon. Following immediately will be hearings for the cases brought by Swensson and Powell, and the issue raised by Farrar, Lax, Judy, Malaren and Roth will be third.
Malihi’s ruling said: “The court finds that defendant is a candidate for federal office who has been certified by the state executive committee of a political party, and therefore must, under Code Section 21-2-5, meet the constitutional and statutory qualifications for holding the office being sought.”
There are similar challenges to Obama’s 2012 candidacy being raised before state election or other commissions in Tennessee, Arizona and New Hampshire as well.
Taitz told WND she will present the decision to a court in Hawaii, where she is arguing to have access to Obama’s original birth documentation as it exists in the state, which for many years allowed relatives of babies to simply make a statement and register a birth, even though the child may not have been born in Hawaii.
Irion had argued in his opposition to Obama’s demand to dismiss the concerns that, “The only fact relevant to this case is the fact that the defendant’s father was not a U.S. citizen. This fact has been repeatedly documented and stated by the party opponent, defendant Obama. This fact is also evidenced by plaintiff’s exhibit 6, previously submitted with plaintiff’s pre-trial order, and apparently authenticated by defendant’s citation to this exhibit in defendant’s ‘Statement of Material Facts Not in Dispute,’ number 7.
“The lengths to which the defendant goes in order to avoid the one relevant fact is telling. The defendant asks this court to interpret Georgia election code in a way that leaves the code in conflict with itself, goes against the plain language of the law, leaves the law without meaning, and conflicts with common sense. He then cites freedom-to-associate precedent to support an assertion that has never been supported by such precedent, and which would nullify election codes in several states. All of these arguments are futile attempts to distract from the undeniable conclusion: Barack Obama is not constitutionally qualified to hold the office of president of the United States,” Irion wrote.
He continued, “It is true that some states lack election codes authorizing any state officials to screen candidate selections from political parties. In these states political parties have essentially unfettered authority to determine which candidates appear on ballots. However, these instances represent decisions of the states to not screen candidates. It is the states’ right to decide how to administer its elections. The fact that some states have decided to not protect their citizens from unqualified candidates does not mean that other states don’t have the right to screen candidates. It simply means that some states have left the screening to the political parties.
“Georgia has determined that it is in the best interest of its citizens to screen candidates prior to placement on the ballot.
“Because it is undisputed that Mr. Obama’s father was not a U.S. citizen, the defendant can never be a natural-born citizen, as that term was defined by the U.S. Supreme Court. Therefore, the defendant cannot meet the constitutional requirements to hold the office of president. See U.S. Const. Art. II Section 1.5 Georgia election code requires such a candidate to be stricken from any Georgia ballot.”
The U.S. Supreme Court opinion cited is Minor v. Happersett from 1875. It includes one of very few references in the nation’s archives that addresses the definition of “natural-born citizen,” a requirement imposed by the U.S. Constitution on only the U.S. president.
That case states:
The Constitution does not in words say who shall be natural-born citizens. Resort must be had elsewhere to ascertain that. At common law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners.
Irion said the goal would be an injunction that would deprive Obama of Democratic Party certification.
“Without such certification from the party, Obama will not appear on any ballot in the 2012 general election,” his organization said in an announcement when the cases were launched.
Liberty Legal said it is not addressing Obama’s place of birth or his birth certificate.
“These issues are completely irrelevant to the argument. LLF’s lawsuit simply points out that the Supreme Court has defined ‘natural-born citizen’ as a person born to two parents who were both U.S. citizens at the time of the natural-born citizen’s birth. Obama’s father was never a U.S. citizen. Therefore, Obama can never be a natural-born citizen. His place of birth is irrelevant,” the group said.
WND has reported that Maricopa, Ariz., County Sheriff Joe Arpaio has launched a formal law enforcement investigation into whether Obama may submit fraudulent documentation to be put on the state’s election ballot in 2012. A full report is expected within weeks.
The White House in April released an image of a “Certificate of Live Birth” from the state of Hawaii in support of Obama’s claim that he was born in the state. The White House has not addressed the questions raised by Obama’s father’s nationality. In addition, many computer, imaging, document and technology experts have stated the document image appears to be a forgery.
The image that the new lawsuits contend is irrelevant:

He also was the founding dean of the College of Law at Regent University, a trial attorney and special assistant U.S. attorney in the Department of Justice.
“‘Natural born citizen’ in relation to the office of president, and whether someone is eligible, was in the Constitution from the very beginning,” he said. “Another way of putting it; there is a law of the nature of citizenship. If you are a natural born citizen, you are a citizen according to the law of nature, not according to any positive statement in a Constitution or in a statute, but because of the very nature of your birth and the very nature of nations.”
If you “go back and look at what the law of nature would be or would require … that’s precisely what a natural born citizen is …. is one who is born to a father and mother each of whom is a citizen of the U.S. or whatever other country,” he said.
“Now what we’ve learned from the Hawaii birth certificate is that Mr. Obama’s father was not a citizen of the United States. His mother was, but he doesn’t qualify as a natural born citizen for the office of president.”

The Whore of Babylon
Hello everyone and welcome to the Vortex where lies and falsehoods are trapped and
exposed. I’m Michael Voris.
Quite often .. we get knocked here at The Vortex for being insensitive to other religions.
Our official response to that .. whatever. Sensitivity is we suppose .. in the mind of the
offended .. which makes the charge nebulous at best.
One man’s offense is another man’s truth and validation. But that said .. we must point
out that there is a virulent current in Protestantism that is rabidly anti-Catholic.
Now liberals and milquetoast Catholics don’t like to either admit this very often .. or
when they do .. they minimize the hatred toward the Faith. Many times .. the motivation for dismissing or ignoring the hate is so that they don’t have to confront it. It’s much easier for some personalities to move through life always
wanting everything to be pretty and sunshiny and fuzzy and balloons.
They aren’t equipped to deal with the ugliness of life. But that doesn’t make the ugliness
of life go away. In fact .. it gives the ugliness of life the upper hand because it can
proceed unchecked in many places.
We reference the heresy of Protestantism .. and that is what it is .. a heresy .. because it is
a distortion of Christianity .. actually Christ Himself. Within Protestantism there are over 40 thousand different competing version of
Christianity. Some are crazy liberal like most of the mainliners such as Episcopalians or
Presbyterians .. who have essentially given up any pretense to being rooted in their own
tradition or their own version of the Scriptures.
Then there are .. among many other still .. a much more rabid fundamentalist band.
These groups form a hard center nucleus of what the majority of Protestantism is today.
The old guard Protestant faiths are fading away. But these pulpit pounding frothing and
spitting ones are growing in numbers and it is from these buildings that the current
Protestant group mind think is really emerging these days. They have the spotlight. They have the megaphones. These have the high profile
personalities that command center stage. And ALL of that is used to rain down lies and
hate on the Catholic Church.
We’ve attached a link to just one such sermon – if it can be even classified as a sermon –
by the Baptist preacher Robert Jeffress ..the same fellow who drew attention a week or
so ago when he made comments about Mormonism and Mitt Romney.
In his screed .. he says that Satan is behind the Catholic Church and the Church is the
whore of Babylon talked about in the Book of Revelation.
Now again .. the more milquetoast Catholic crowd will just laugh that off. Don’t be so
quick. Jeffress drew attention because he was the preacher man who introduced
Republican GOP hopeful Texas governor Rick Perry at the Values Voters Summit.
For the moment the influence men like him may have in the world of politics .. how
much or little it may actually be .. is not the topic of this Vortex.
What is .. is that he .. and people like him .. like John Hagee who is another untheological
loudmouth command huge audiences and weak minded or ill informed people who sit
their absorbed by the personalities of these stump preachers and BELIEVE what they say.
They build huge buildings .. and assemble together huge numbers of people who they
train .. and they write books and launch tv shows and own and operate a sizable
communications apparatus that spreads their lies and garbage far and wide.
They school so called missionaries and send them to third world countries in Africa and
Latin America where they eat away at already converted Catholic populations and
convince them of their stupidity and animus against the Church founded by Christ.
And again .. the softies in the Church and those unprepared or afraid to pick up the sword
against this mindless nonsense sit back and make up excuses and prefer to talk about
what we have in common with them on the moral front. Granted .. we do have much in common on the moral front .. they are almost always prolife
.. pro-family and all the rest. But what good does all that do a person if in the end ..
he or she walks away from the fullness of truth that exists ONLY in the Catholic Church.
Many Catholic pastors at many parishes are happy to cooperate and share and dialog with
and have bake sales and little warm and fuzzy prayer services and community outreach
exchanges with these groups.
If they aren’t working to A) convert them and B) protect their flocks against their
falsehoods .. all the little tea socials and quilt sewing parties they invite them to won’t
accomplish a thing.
Too many Catholics are coming under the sway of this tidal wave from the Protestant
world .. which manifests itself as little else than a subtle undercurrent in thousands of
parishes and disguises itself as ecumenism.
The Church has to fight on many fronts .. some obvious like the culture wars where we
battle agnostics and atheists and secular humanists. But other battles may not seem so
urgent .. like with the Protestant heresy which in the end may prove to be even more
destructive because while the enemy in the culture wars undermines moral truth ..
Protestantism undermines doctrinal truth.

Hello everyone .. and welcome to the Vortex .. where lies and falsehoods are trapped and exposed .. I’m Michael Voris.
There is a huge monumental fight going on inside the Catholic Church these days .. incase you haven’t noticed. And if you haven’t noticed .. then it will be pretty difficult to understand and process events that are going on.
Unlike most neat and tidy wars where there are usually two sides .. in this case there are three. And this is what makes things so difficult to get a grip on.
In one corner of the triangle .. the liberal progressive modernist gang. The provocateurs with their dingbat theology about women priests and rejection of anything traditional. These are the folks who think the Church suddenly sprang into being in the middle of the 20th century and should accommodate the world whenever possible. In the second corner of the Catholic Triangle are those who actually believe in God .. at least the God that Our Blessed Lord came to reveal to us.
They believe everything right down the line that the Church teaches .. that the Pope is the successor of St. Peter and is infallible when speaking on matters of faith and morals. This is the crowd that actually deserves the name Catholic because .. well .. they ARE.
Then there is the third group .. the vague and ambivalent crowd. There are a LOT of people in this corner. Here you will find the talk the talk but not walk the walk crowd .. those leaders who for a variety of reasons .. SOUND like the traditional crowd but allow much of what dingbat theology crowd pushes. And this crowd is precisely where the heart of the problem is. This group .. clergy and laity .. acts or may actually believe they are faithful .. but turn a blind eye to all the
corruption and evil and sin in the Church when it comes to actually doing something about it.
Now the reasons for this are varied. Some church leaders .. again clergy and laity .. think they are doing the right thing .. they call it being prudent .. by allowing and/or agreeing with homosexual masses .. pro-abortion Catholic politicians to receive Holy Communion.. emphasizing so-called social justice concerns to the detriment of spiritual concerns.
And while they allow much of this malfeasance to exist and prosper and flourish .. all in the name of charity .. they get downright nasty with virtually any Catholic from the faithful crowd. They support .. and sometimes promote smear campaigns .. threaten like bullies .. wield whatever ecclesiastical weapons they can .. in short .. anything they can do to bring those horrible tradition minded Catholics to heel. In this crowd you will find every stripe of contemporary Catholic imaginable.
Some Charismatics for example .. who think that the traditional Latin Mass is stupid
because you say Mass to the wall instead of facing the congregation and the community of the people of God .. where we gather around a table and have a meal. Guess all those saints for the past 1500 years or so just didn’t understand because they hadn’t yet been slain in the spirit.
The problem with this third group .. and they are definitely the majority in the Protestant friendly liturgically abusive watered down and theologically malformed crowd is that they LOOK very Catholic and often SOUND very Catholic because quite often they actually are. Theirs is a new type of Catholicism that has been banged into the heads of almost anyone raised in the post Vatican II Church. Problem is .. a large part of went before the mid-20th century has been jettisoned or better yet .. just ignored. This has created a war for the soul of the Catholicism and there are no signs that this war is anywhere near achieving a truce.

The coming war inside America

As the attention of most Americans was captivated by the shiny object in Times Square this weekend like infants fixated on car keys dangled in front of them, Barack Hussein Obama signed into law H.R. 1540, better known as the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). Regardless of any concurrent executive signing statements that are mere window dressing and not legally binding, Obama and every member of congress who crafted and voted for this act has essentially declared war on American citizens on U.S. soil.

To quote Rush Limbaugh, “words mean things.” As a career investigator, I can assure you that words contained in local, state and federal laws most certainly mean things, and provide the legal authority for conduct sanctioned by national or state authorities without regard to any promised judicial or prosecutorial discretion that could be likened to the signing statement. The NDAA now codifies the most controversial aspects of the Patriot Act, which “candidate” Obama publicly opposed. What changed?

Greasing the slope
Any person of reasonable sensibilities should be raising a multitude of questions upon considering the current and historical conduct of the executive and legislative branches of our government. It was the attack on 9/11 that ostensibly paved the way for the Bush administration to craft the USA PATRIOT Act, which was signed into law by congress on October 26, 2001. That legislation broadened law enforcement powers well beyond the rights granted to Americans by the U.S. Constitution. While many of the provisions contained in the PATRIOT Act were scheduled to end on December 31, 2005, the U.S. Senate passed a reauthorization bill containing numerous changes in July 2005, and the House of Representatives submitted a bill that kept most of the original bill intact. The largely unchanged bill passed congressional vote on March 2, 2006 and was signed into law by George W. Bush.

Although the PATRIOT Act has gone through various subsequent incarnations, congress crafted and Obama signed a four-year extension last May, extending certain key provisions that particularly focused on businesses in the U.S. It is important to note that the manner and methods in which the U.S. government interprets and carries out the provisions of the PATRIOT Act are classified and kept secret from the American public, an issue rarely addressed by politicians or pundits. Why the secrecy?

Continuity of agenda
One must also question the obvious continuity of agenda from the Bush administration to the Obama administration, and from the congress seated in 2001 through today. Despite pro-Constitutional campaign rhetoric from both Republicans and Democrats, and the rapid acquiescence of some TEA party candidates who now occupy seats of power, it is obvious that the rights of Americans granted by the very Constitution elected officials swore to uphold are under attack. Why the change?

As one looks at the larger picture, pieces of the puzzle seems to become more recognizable.

The move toward globalism
Once thought to be the fanciful designs of the conspiracy minded, there appears to be an acceleration toward one world governance, or the infamous “New World Order.” It is an agenda that has been in place for decades, yet the politically myopic and the agent facilitators deliberately avoid any discussion of its existence. Exposure of this agenda has been hobbled by the merger of major news organizations into a half-dozen corporations who control what is reported. Even many who present themselves as purveyors of the truth decline to discuss the globalist agenda, or are held hostage by big money contracts with editorial stipulations and controls.

While the attacks of 9/11 paved the way for passage of the PATRIOT Act, what could explain the draconian legislation contained in the NDAA of 2012? Looking through the prism of current events, those with intellectual honesty can readily see events unfolding that would create conditions to necessitate its implementation.

Controlled economic collapse
Who could have predicted the economic crisis of 2008, just two months before the U.S. presidential election? Nearly everyone who was aware of the agenda of the global elite. The economic crisis of 2008, an incident which the banking elite used the specter of martial law to fund their global operations, landed a financial sucker punch on every American with the approval of congress. Using such phrases as “too big to fail,” banking giants, facilitated by the Federal Reserve, the U.S. Treasury and members of congress knowingly and deliberately defrauded the American public out of trillions of dollars, much of which remains unaccounted for despite dubious internal financial audit reports.

While the corporate media remain lapdogs for the banking and global elite and report recovery on the horizon, the real story has yet to be told by our media and elected officials. There is a controlled demolition of not only our national economy, but the entire world economy. Look at the financial death throes of the European Union, which cannot survive, despite the best fiction from cable news economists hired to hide the truth from the masses. The consequential social upheaval will not be contained to Europe, nor will the economic apocalypse. Due to the Ponzi scheme created by the globalist bankers and government leaders from the Goldman-Sachs bloodline, Americans will find themselves in financial turmoil unseen in modern history.

Perhaps it is for those who cannot seem to take their eyes of the shiny objects, or those who camp out at big box stores for bargains on the latest and greatest electronic gadgets that the NDAA was crafted

THE KING

With Christmas upon us .. it’s often good to look at the manger scene and reflect beyond
it .. through it as it were .. to the reality all it represents.
While we can take comfort in the truth that God comes to us as helpless child .. we can
greater comfort in the truth that His enemies arrived at instantly .. that this helpless
appearing child is actually a mighty King who launched a secret invasion behind enemy
lines and immediately set about de-stabilizing the existing world order.
Herod knew it. He set out to murder the Christ Child from the very first moment he
heard of his presence.
Simeon knew it as well, when Our Lady and Joseph brought the babe into the Temple.
He took the child from her arms and said .. this child will be responsible for the rise and
fall of many in Israel .. a sign that is to be contradicted.
Form the very first moment of his presence among us .. its clear that his presence was
meant to undo the Kingdom of Satan.
Even the angels who appeared to the shepherds on that first Christmas night make this
blindingly clear .. the whole heavenly host .. an angelic army arrayed for battle .. hover
over the nearby hills.
This newborn King is also a general .. the fullness of what King David portended .. a king
who has come to destroy evil and establish the kingdom .. peace on earth .. heavenly
peace as in the presence of Almighty God .. not some passing man made version of peace.
This Heavenly Peace of Justice and Right will be established by utterly and finally
destroying the kingdom that Satan has established among men.
The real meaning of Christmas is not to celebrate the Christ child in the manger as much
as it is the announcement of the coming victory.
After all .. what is the point of His Christmas Coming if not to stir us to anticipation of
His Second and Final Coming? He does not remain a helpless child. This may be the
reason the gospels themselves fall silent very shortly after his birth and resume His story
at the point of mission.
And anyone who follows Him, must be of the same mind. This life .. as it was for Our
Blessed Lord is about the fight .. and serving our King in the battle.
God Himself has prepared us for war. David knew this instinctively when he penned the
144th Psalm ..
Blessed be the Lord, my Rock, who trains my arms for battle and my hands for war.
He is my Love, my fortress, He is my stronghold, my Savior, my shield, my place of refuge.
When you kneel before the crèche this Christmastide, honor the babe no doubt, but do not
forget in all that innocence is also a mighty King who calls you to arms to establish His
reign first in our own hearts and the hearts and minds of everyone He brings before you.
This is the supreme gift you can give your King .. to pick up your sword and pledge Him
your life and your honor.
A very Merry and Blessed Christmas from all of us here to all of you and your loved
ones.

Fight, for God's sake, Fight!

Hello everyone .. and welcome to the Vortex .. where lies and falsehoods are trapped and exposed .. I’m Michael Voris.
Wrapping up the theme we have dealt with in this week’s Vortex episodes .. which has
been the virtually unchallenged assault of the homosexual movement against the Church
from INSIDE the Church and the pathetic response to it from Church leaders.
Just as the evils of abortion as well as contraception have been allowed to fester among Catholics in the pews because of lack of a bold and decisive all out offense against them .. so too now is the homosexual agenda.
It’s not that the Pope hasn’t spoken out about this issue. It’s not that a number of bishops around the western world haven’t written about it. It’s not a number of faithful speakers haven’t spoken about it.
But it IS that after words .. after the Pope has said what needs to be said .. none of it is paid attention to in any meaningful way. The Pope’s words and documents are just ignored and too many bishops have not stepped up and vigorously opposed this in every possible way. They allow conferences to be held .. speeches to be given .. their parish priests to coddle this in the name of charity. Too many say next to nothing .. if anything at all as colleges and universities in their diocese allow gay clubs .. campus ministries .. dissenting theologians to stand before young people and corrupt them. Since ALL of this falls under the category of spiritual war .. a quote from one of the more notable warriors in secular history seems apropos here. "If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without
blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not
too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to
fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance
of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to
fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to
perish than to live as slaves." -Winston Churchill
None of this is intended to slam the office of bishop .. regardless of what others
may want to imply. We have nothing but the highest of respect and regard for the
office of bishop .. it was established by Our Blessed Lord.
What we and many others do have a problem with is the glaring LACK of exercising the
AUTHORITY of the office by the men who occupy it for the good of the faithful.
They have the power and authority .. not to mention the divinely mandated duty to
forcefully and constantly condemn all evils that are threats to the faithful.
The crosier a bishop carries isn’t only an instrument to help being back a straying sheep ..it’s also a weapon to whack the daylights out of an approaching wolf. To not use it is to allow the sheep to be devoured.
It takes a certain manfulness to step up and plunge into a pack of wolves and start beating the daylights out of them. Oh yes it does. So do it. Just do it. We .. along with many others are pleading with the bishops .. begging .. start protecting the sheep and stop assailing those sheep who are crying out for your protection.
Get rid of the dissenters. How much time and how many souls are you willing to grant
them before doing what your office demands you do.
Teach your people and priests clearly and precisely that the faith is for their salvation ..that heaven AND hell are real .. that all religions are NOT the same .. that this faith demands the cross be carried .. that the call for everyone of us to live and love as Saints NOT succumb to the latest fad of secular humanism.
And don’t do this all with just words. USE your authority .. whatever the cost to you
personally. Walk the walk as well as talk the talk. Get rid of the wolves in your
chanceries .. seminaries .. parishes. If the diocese must step itself down to poverty to become purer .. so be it. If abuse after abuse is heaped upon your head by the enemies of Christ .. rejoice in the knowledge that you have aroused the anger of Satan. The old saying goes that you can tell a man by his friends. But it’s even more true that you can tell THE man by his enemies.
We would like to close the particular discussion by quoting from an author for whom we have a great deal of respect – if not always total agreement. Dr. Jeff Mirus over at the website Catholic culture dot org has written an article we have linked to here on our page.It’s well worth the short read.
Here are two quotes worth highlighting.
“The first and most important thing to say is that the crisis [in Catholic theology] is of the bishops’ own making. I do not claim that the profound secularization of culture which has eroded Catholic theology on every side is primarily the fault of the bishops, but it is certainly their fault ..”
And secondly .. “That is why it is necessary to exclude those who are no longer Catholic from theological positions within the Church. But exclusion requires more than teaching and sanctifying. Exclusion requires that bishops learn once again how to rule. By their failure to rule, the bishops have participated in the creation of this radical divide.”We’ve also included a link to an article that is soon to be published giving a splendid explanation of the Church’s teaching on homosexuality. It’s well worth the read.

Church vs. State (Read this slowly "Itchy Watch")

Hello everyone and welcome to the Vortex where lies and falsehoods are trapped and
exposed. I’m Michael Voris.
Can anyone be surprised .. really surprised .. that the Catholic Church in America as well as other parts of the western world .. seems destined for a showdown with the
government. World leaders are heading away from God. That much is clear. They have legislated and enacted law upon law which disregards moral truth and elevates that which is evil to legally protected.
In country after country .. the same slate of evil now enjoys the protection of law ..abortion .. contraception .. homosexual unions .. embryonic stem cell research ..euthanasia .. to name just a few.
For much of this .. many people in the Church sat by quietly .. afraid to rock the boat and confront the evil directly. Better to work in private .. avoid confrontation etc was the strategy.
Whether it was motivated by cowardice or cooperation or naivety is a question for
historians and for God. What matter at the present is that is hasn’t worked. And as the full force and consequences of these laws not settle in .. the Church is now clearly in the cross hairs of various governments .. not the least of which is the Obama White House. You see .. it can never be the case that homosexual marriage just sits quietly along side traditional marriage like the radical homosexualists and their political allies have preached for all these years. Live and let live doesn’t work with evil .. because evil and good are opposed to each other .. not uncomfortable companions.
Since homosexuality is now considered legal and protected from being justly
discriminated against .. the next threshold now appears. If it’s legal .. then its must be moral .. goes the reasoning .. reasoning by the way that is deeply flawed .. just ask the victims of the nazi death camps.
If it’s moral and ok .. then its also ok for homosexual couples to marry. If they can marry.. why not adopt. If its ok for all this .. then why isn’t it being told to young children in school and taught as part of the curriculum?
And on and on. At some point .. the Church has finally stepped out of the private
conferences and into the public square and said .. wait a minute .. this evil destroys the whole understanding of marriage .. re-defines it entirely .. destroys the whole natural truth surrounding marriage and by extension family.
These laws therefore cannot stand. And when it says that publically .. watch out for the incoming rounds.
This has already started in a number of states and countries outside the US .. Catholic adoption agencies have been forced to close up shop because they would not agree to adopt out children to homosexual couples. San Francisco .. Boston to name just two with another case pending right now in Illinois.
There will be more. This is just one example of the increasing threat to Catholic truth as step by step governments and leaders who care little for God and his truth push their wicked plans.
So what is a Catholic to do in the face of growing official opposition to the truths of the faith.
In 1890 .. Pope Leo XIII wrote an encyclical called Sapientiae Christianae .. Christian Wisdom .. talking about this very issue. We’ve attached a link to it on this page. Yesterday we shared some of the various quotes from Leo and if you haven’t seen it .. we encourage you view yesterday’s Vortex as well .. but for today .. here are some further quotes dealing with the issue of the state attacking the Church and the duty of Catholics to respond.
“The chief elements of this duty consist in professing openly and unflinchingly the
Catholic doctrine, and in propagating it to the utmost of our power.” #15
“No one, however, must entertain the notion that private individuals are prevented from taking some active part in this duty of teaching, especially those on whom God has bestowed gifts of mind with the strong wish of rendering themselves useful. These, so often as circumstances demand, may take upon themselves, not, indeed, the office of the pastor, but the task of communicating to others what they have themselves received, becoming, as it were, living echoes of their masters in the faith.” #16 Living echoes .. what a beautiful phrase, “ .. it should be borne earnestly in mind that in propagating Christian truth and warding
off errors the zeal of the laity should, as far as possible, be brought actively into play.” As a further encouragement .. Pope Leo declares .. “the Church cannot stand by, indifferent as to the import and significance of laws enacted by the State; not insofar, indeed, as they … trench upon the rights of the Church.” #30
And then is a brilliant stroke he directly addresses the issue of a weak and timid response in the face of evil ..“Some there are, indeed, who maintain that it is not opportune boldly to attack evil - doing in its might and when in the ascendant, lest, as they say, opposition should exasperate minds already hostile. These make it a matter of guesswork as to whether they are for the Church or against her, since on the one hand they give themselves out as professing the Catholic faith, and yet wish that the Church should allow certain opinions, at variance with her teaching, to be spread abroad with impunity. They moan over the loss of faith and the perversion of morals, yet trouble themselves not to bring any remedy;” #33
And there you have it. Please read it for yourselves. Do not lack the courage to fight nor the understanding to know that you should.
And when you encounter those who say .. wait .. don’t rock the boat .. hand them this
encyclical and then go about your work of manfully defending Holy Mother Church and
attacking the gates of Hell.
Tell ‘em to take up their wimpy concerns with Pope Leo.

When you go down the list of careers .. many of them require what’s called continuing
education where you learn about new laws of industry standards or anything else new that
affects the way you do business.
From accounting to law to medicine to teaching .. practically every industry understands that the world changes and with those changes come changes in how business must be conducted.
Now let’s shift over to the world of faith and religion and theology.
I was sitting with a fellow a few days ago who is extremely accomplished in his field ..financially successful .. well –respected .. considered a virtual expert by many of his peers. And this fellow has the creds to back up the high praise.
THEN the topic shifted to religion .. Catholicism in particular. All of a sudden .. it was like talking so someone with the knowledge base of a 3rd grader.
All of sudden .. things came into focus .. one of those brief episodes referred to as a Damascus moment .. when the lights suddenly go on and you GET something obvious
you had just over looked before.
Brilliant doctors and lawyers and bankers and corporate executives who could tell you
practically anything about their respective careers .. cant whistle a simple tune when it comes to the faith .. regardless of their PhD’s or millions of dollars in the bank.
See .. we have a tendency to see someone as smart and successful as being smart about
EVERYTHING. But that’s just not true.
They’re only smart about what they do each day by waking up and being exposed to it
each and every day. They are constantly talking with other people in their industry and hanging out with them and taking note of the latest news and information and the latest and greatest whatever.
They are the TOPS when it comes to their own business .. but when it comes to the
faith .. they haven’t heard or been exposed to anything new probably since they were 14 when Confirmation classes ended.
And if they’re under roughly 55 .. chances are whatever they learned was wrong or
incomplete anyway.
How many professionals would you trust whose knowledge base hasn’t advanced since
they were a teenager.
Yet .. this is how most people get the faith today .. from a catholic person who has no formal study whatsoever beyond junior high school .. and who forms practically every thought or insight they have based on nothing beyond their own opinion.
But what is their opinion based on? Certainly not knowledge because they don’t have
any to speak of .. certainly not any kind of mature knowledge.
What’s in their heads is what they heard and more importantly PROCESSED as a
teenager. So despite now being able to run a bank or manage law firms or whatever ..
they are nothing more than teenagers in their knowledge of the faith.
So .. let me ask you a question .. with no disrespect to teenagers .. how many children do you know that you can go to for sound and solid counsel when it comes to the matter of your eternal destiny?
Yet .. with practically no real working knowledge of the faith .. loads of people spout of about religion in general and Catholicism specifically like they ACTUALLY know what they are talking about .. and more surprisingly .. other people ACTUALLY listen to them like they know what they are talking about.
Having an opinion about the faith is a far cry from being able to actually answer a
question based on accurate information and knowledge.
No one would consult a doctor about how to fix leaky pipes in his basement. Likewise
no one would ask his accountant for advice about how to fix the carburetor in his ’68
Mustang. But anyone who opens his loud mouth with an uninformed yet passionate opinion about the catholic faith suddenly gets treated like some sort of expert. The uncle who thought an annulment was stupid or the mother in law who thinks the Church is out of step about women priests or birth control.
These types of people with their errant opinions.. and that’s all they are .. opinions .. are deferred to without the slightest thought of asking them for their credentials. They are "know it alls" .. without knowing anything.
Time for faithful Catholics to start educating themselves so as the inevitable
conversations start develop during the upcoming holiday season .. that you can give an INFORMED answer that shuts down your opinionated relative or friend and lets people know that’s there’s more to the Catholic faith than just opinion. There is in fact .. objective truth. And .. that no one likes a "Know it All",or someone that thinks they know it all, and yet know nothing.

Hello everyone and welcome to the Vortex where lies and falsehoods are trapped and
exposed. I’m Michael Voris coming to you from Rome.
As 2011 draws to a close and 2012 appears on the horizon .. many will begin to reflect back on a hugely significant event that occurred here in Rome 50 years ago. The opening of the Second Vatican Council.
Yep. 50 years have passed since Blessed Pope John XXIII gave his introduction before
the Council Fathers. Which for me personally is kind of significant .. because I just recently turned 50 so I and many other Catholics can rightly be called .. literally the children of Vatican II. We were born when the Council began and now we have come to full bloom.
So I’d actually like to do some personal reflection as a Catholic who was born as the
Council began and grew up in the Catholic world which developed in its shadow.
I have no recollection .. no living memory of the Church before Vatican II. While I was an infant in my father’s arms at the traditional Latin Mass .. I spent most of my time AT it being carried out FROM it for wailing and fussing and crying .. at least that’s what my Mom and Dad tell me.
My brother however who was exactly 7 years older than me .. same birthday seven years
apart .. was an altar boy .. not an altar server .. but an altar BOY who never served
anything OTHER THAN the latin Mass. So in the 7 short years between us .. an enormous change occurred. By the time I came to serve as an altar boy .. the Mass looked almost NOTHING like what my brother had grown up with.
There were some holdover elements that hadn’t totally been gotten rid of....... yet,incense ..cassock and surplice .. reception of the Body and Blood of Our Blessed Lord on the tongue.
We altar boys who are now fifty remember that fact clearly because we had to hold the
patens under the people’s chins. And almost every genuflected going in and out of the
pews. And so did we every time .. and I mean EVERYTIME we crossed in front of the
tabernacle .. which by the way was in the center of the sanctuary.
But during my time as an altar boy .. the “change” was in full force. First .. Sr. Bernadette, a lovely and demanding nun .. who was in her habit .. began teaching us .. the altar boys about the sign of peace. This was when I was in 3rd grade.
We were told that when the time came for the sign of peace .. the priest would turn to us ..extend the sign to us individually .. then we were to go into the main aisle and pew by pew processing from front back .. very orderly .. extend the shake. Then that person would turn to the person next to them and pass it on and so forth. That way .. it was very clear that the “peace” originated from the sanctuary .. from Christ. Ah .. well it took about 6 months before that went out the window and the sign of peace had devolved into the near chaos that it is today where the peace comes not from the sanctuary .. but EACH OTHER .. not from God .. but from man.
And I know .. because I was there. I saw it with my own two eyes.
By the time us 50 year olds had matriculated from 3rd grade to high school, we saw the nuns’ habits go from near the floor to above the knees to out in the trash. Of course we also saw them leave in droves. I know. I was there. I saw it with my own two eyes.
Then there were the stories that were being whispered about Fr. Jim and Fr. Walsh
running off and getting married to some women after just not showing up one day for
morning Mass. I know. I was there. I saw it with my own two eyes.
This Vortex is not about listing a series of woes that occurred after Vatican II. It’s about showing how what happened after Vatican II began paving the way for the deeply wounded Church we see today.
These first small changes were nothing more than pre-cursors of a huge storm that had
already begun to break upon the Church. Within a few short years of that sign of peace stuff .. our cassocks and surplices had been switched out one Sunday for those droll unceremonious white bedsheets with hoods and a little rope around the middle.
We just stopped using incense one Sunday. Suddenly .. a few Sundays later .. half the
people were sticking their hands out to “get the bread” and our job with the patens
became virtually unnecessary. We were down-sized as altar boys before being downsized
was fashionable .. and this all happened before having reached puberty.
Of course .. what was happening to us altar boys was one symptom of the large darkness that was descending on the Church .. a darkness that robbed us of our heritage .. took it away from us as we were essentially babies.These modernists literally took the candy of the Catholic Faith out of the mouth of babies.
Before my time on the altar was over .. we had gone from singing Immaculate Mary and
Holy God we Praise Thy Name to .. hit numbers from GodSpell and Jesus Christ
Superstar and of course the Protestant National Anthem .. Amazing Grace. If it was
Catholic it was out the door and anything else was welcome, Protestant .. secular ..
whatever .. just not Catholic. Talk about Irish need not apply!
All the while .. our heads were spinning. Organs were out .. guitars and tambourines
were in. I know. I was there. I saw it with my own two eyes. I like everyone else who
is 50 .. were actual witnesses to this in the sense that we grew up with them .. right along beside them. People older than fifty .. saw the so-called Old Church. People under 50 have no understanding of those former days for the most part .. and that includes converts .. GOD Bless ‘em .. but we “roughly 50 years olds” are the actual witnesses to it .. the first children of Vatican II .. the eldest sons and daughters of the Second Vatican Council.
And we have some things to say.We will be saying them all this week from Rome ..
where the eve of the 50th anniversary of Vatican II is about to descend.

A few weeks ago in one of our Vortex episodes .. we quoted a line that caused a number of people to sit up and ask for some more information.
The line was this .. "Catholicism is the law of life, the life of the intelligence, the solution of all problems. Catholicism is the truth, and everything that departs from it one iota, is disorder, deception, and error."
That phrase was penned by a 19th century Spaniard whose name was Juan Donoso
Cortes .. a brilliant Catholic mind .. emphasis on brilliant and more emphasis on
CATHOLIC.
He began his academic life extremely early having completed studies for law before he
was 16. He lived in the few decades immediately following the French Revolution
whose political and social philosophical errors began spreading to his native Spain.
At first he was caught up in the excitement of the NEW .. like so many people are .. but this man had the humility of soul to realize that beneath all the excitement was a the everpresent danger of man-centeredness replacing God-centeredness.
So he began to write and much of what he wrote is oddly enough very much applaicable
to our own day.
He wrote a collection of works called ESSAYS ON CATHOLICISM, LIBERALISM, AND
SOCIALISM and it is from this collection that the above quote comes.
Listen to it again .. "Catholicism is the law of life, the life of the intelligence, the solution of all problems. Catholicism is the truth, and everything that departs from it one iota, is disorder, deception, and error."
That statement is so bold and direct as to make modernists’ and progressives skin crawl.
But it is exactly what needs to be said as a direct challenge to the prevailing philosophies of the modern mind.
Why? Well .. for people who are opposed to all the craziness of the contemporary
world .. who feel like they and their values are in massive retreat and unrelenting attack from the philosophies of the French Revolution .. it makes clear that idea of liberalism and socialism .. the anti-Traditionalist forces .. and the ensuing opposition to Tradition is nothing recent, but has been ongoing for a few hundred years. What becomes clear is this .. there are what we can term revolutionaries and counter-revolutionaries.
The revolutionaries are those forces which overthrew the prevailing
order of the Christian world beginning with Martin Luther and excelling after the French Revolution. These revolutionaries are very much active today. Opposing them are the counter-revolutionary forces which seek a return to the world of civility with God at the center of social political and cultural life.
Another clarion call that comes forward as a result of the truthful and bold assertion that Catholicism is the law of life is this – and it is aimed squarely at anti-Catholics. Catholicism was and continues to be the sole coherent serious and viable force opposed to the all the evils of the modern world – of the revolution. Anti-Catholics need to ask themselves if they are really willing to reject the world that defined Europe, a world created by foundational documents of the likes of Augustine, Aquinas, or Dante, not to mention art, architecture, chivalry and so much else.
Lastly; For neo-Catholics, or what might be properly termed liberal Catholics ..
enthrall to the “spirit of Vatican II”, they need to decide if they are still in continuity with the Holy Church. Since the legitimacy and authority of the Catholic Church derives only from its adherence to Tradition, these neo-Catholics have to demonstrate they are still Catholic.
The phrase sums up perfectly the condition of the contemporary world in which we find
various forces at work .. specifically The Holy Church whose faithful adherents are
counter-revolutionaries versus a number of groups.
First of all .. the revolutionaries who seek the total abolition of everything that proceeded from the Catholic world.
Then the anti-Catholics who agree with some of what the Church teaches in the moral
order but draw the line there .. blasting Catholic theology without realizing that the crown jewel of Catholicism IS her divinely protected teachings from which her morality flows.
Then the last group opposed to the Church of the Ages are those within the Holy Church Herself .. the neo-Catholics who suffer under a false sense of reality that anything “new” in the Church should enjoy an certain exaltedness while all that comes before 1965 is somehow suspect.
These three forces battle against the Church and the Church must remain resolute against them .. fighting the three front war until Her savior at last comes to rescue Her. And no retreat .. not one step .. can ever be sanctioned. After all ..

Modernism Inherited

Hello everyone and welcome to the Vortex where lies and falsehoods are trapped and
exposed. I’m Michael Voris coming to you from Rome.
Next year .. which is almost here .. marks the 50th anniversary of the opening of Vatican II. And right now .. in this year we are barely a breath beyond the 100 year anniversary of St. Pope Pius X’s dire warnings about Modernism.
Lots of Catholics .. heck nearly all of them .. haven’t even heard the word Modernism
much less know what the Holy Father was talking about. But in short, it was and is a
movement which .. as he said .. synthesizes .. pulls together al heresies and creates one massively united enemy of the Church.
And the problem is this .. Modernism is the enemy which lies WITHIN the Church. This
is what Pius warned against so ardently .. that he demanded that Catholic clergy and
instructors actually take an oath against it. You heard right. A put up your right hand and sing the paper actual oath. That started in 1910 and was ended about 50 years later ..right around the time of Vatican II.
As said earlier this week, I’m 50 and like many other 50 year olds in the Church we
have been first hand eye-witnesses to the destruction of much that followed in the wake of Vatican II by the very interests that St. Pius X warned against. We 50 year olds grew up in the Church that was in many ways giving way to Modernism.
Now back in the day .. it was cool and in vogue to be “with it”. That was the
expression .. “with it”. But no one ever said what exactly IT was. Well it’s pretty darn clear now that IT was modernism. If you don’t believe it .. look around.
Heresy .. some of it bold and affronting .. some of it subtle and coy has gripped the
Church in practically every aspect of Her life. This truth needs to be told and it needs to be told loudly.
You see the loud mouth Modernists in seminaries and chanceries and social movements
in the Church .. who needed to raise a ruckus so they could overthrow the established
order back in the day, the 1960’s and 1970’s, when we 50 year olds were snotty kids..
they have now settled in to every corner of the Church.
They don’t need to be loudmouths anymore. They control the levers of power. What is
for them to shout about? They have their will of things. And they have reproduced ..
hiring and promoting and ordaining like-minded friends and allies into chanceries and
seminaries and parish staffs and universities and every other imaginable aspect of
Catholic life. THIS generation of Modernists doesn’t look anything like their hippie .. habit discarding forefathers did when we 50 year olds were kids. Those “with it” types had long hair ..wore peace signs around their neck on dangly chains .. figured out every way they could to incorporate tie dye patterns into vestments and on and on. They made statements ..loud and clear. They needed to. You can’t storm the palace looking like the palace guard.
Just ask the occupy crowd. You need youth and big mouths and they had them in ample
supply. Today .. with their ideas firmly entrenched at practically every level of the establishment Church .. they have thrown away their hippy outfits for more polyester comfort. And they don’t rail against the establishment .. they ARE the establishment .. established modernism.
But they WILL rail against those who seek to point them out. Lift a finger or raise a
voice to reveal their true identities and suddenly all the vim and vigor of their halcyon days returns as though they were 30 again .. when they were lying to and deceiving us,the children who grew up in the aftermath of the Second Vatican Council.
This is exactly what Blessed John Paul II encountered as he realized that the Church
needed purifying. He said in 2002 in reference to the homosexual clergy sex abuse
scandal .. “So much pain, so much sorrow must lead to a holier priesthood, a holier
episcopate, and a holier Church.”
The show forth of the Modernist heresy running wild in the Church since the close of the Second Vatican Council has been rabid sexual immorality on the part of laity and clergy and all that it has spawned including the deceitful cover up and silence on the part of not a small number of bishops.
The refusal to teach the truth forcefully and without apology has led to this current crisis and the Modernists do everything they can to prevent the truth from being announced completely.
John Paul recognized this which is why he set about to produce a new Catechism ..
introduce an updated Code of Canon Law .. re-awaken a great love of Our Blessed
Mother .. preach about the theology of the body in a sex-saturated world and hammer
down liberation theology. All he did was resisted every step of the way.
He prepared the way for Benedict to advance the purification of the Church. And very
aware of the viper’s den he was stepping into at the beginning of his reign as Pope .. he sadly sermonized at his first Mass as Pope .. “Pray for me, that I may not flee for fear of the wolves.”
Benedict .. in his role as head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith for nearly 25 years was very well aware of how far Modernism had infected the Church .. was well aware of the ravenous wolves all around him. And now he was Pope. And just when like John Paul was Pope .. their office had been protected by the Holy Spirit from preaching the Modernist heresy.
The first group of Modernists shoved and pushed their way to the front of the line and flat out lied to the children in their charge. As they moved on in years .. they made certain that they kept their agenda moving along. But as we grew up .. we just believed what was told to us .. as well as what was not told to us.
Now many Catholics have no point of reference on what it is to BE catholic. And why
would they? Where exactly would they have ever heard it? From the homosexual priest
who quietly dismisses the Church’s moral teaching so he can live his own lifestyle? Or how abut the ex-nun .. angry at any real man she encounters because she disdains her own biology?
Or what about the bishop who is so much more concerned about finances than he is the
faith that the motto on his Coat of Arms should read – don’t rock the boat? And of course there is always the parish religious ed director or her counterpart downtown at Church headquarters who believe being Catholic is little else than being nice – although much of the time – THEY aren’t.
See .. the first children who grew up in the wake of Vatican II .. for us .. this is the only Church we’ve ever really known .. the Church infected with the Modernism that Pope Pius .. SAINT Pope Pius warned about. The Church that has found itself unable to confront the evil of Modern time because the wolves inside the Church have done all they can to ally the Church WITH it.
The modernists in the Church who emerged from underground immediately after Vatican
II to seize control had this exact vision of the world in mind. An immoral place .. devoid in every possible way of God .. where human intellect .. such as it is ..reigns supreme
and we are no longer beholding to those antiquated medieval thoughts like objective
morality .. especially in the areas of sexual license.
So .. they grabbed control of the one institution on the face of earth that was capable of battling the evil and neutered it. If the Catholic Church does not lead the way in battling evil .. then she LOSES her way and so does the world. This is why abortion is not going away .. why homosexual marriage is advancing like a brush fire and so forth. Modernism is a prevailing current in the Church .. for now. Understand it. Face it. Admit it. And then do something about it.
And if you are one of the eldest children of Vatican II .. the 50 year olds .. come to terms with the reality that we were lied to and we were robbed and even to this day our inheritance has still not been returned to us. The Modernists .. the ones who lied to us when we were altar boys and in grade school ..
their offspring who now run things are refusing to give us back what is ours by right .. the authentic Catholic Faith. They want us to be content with false ecumenism and Protestantized Masses and handing money over for “social justice” and bringing in converts who have only been taught SOME of the faith. They pay lip service to the Pope but fight him continually.
They want us to accept a Church in retreat while at the same time they insist that it is not in retreat. And when we don’t .. they smear us with terms like angry .. uncharitable ..mean-spirited. Uh. Wrong. We were the ones lied to and robbed. And we want backwhat has been taken from us.
And just like THEY did when we were children .. if we can’t have what we want .. what
is ACTUALLY ours .. then we are gonna take it .. but our weapons will be truth .. the
ultimate antidote to the poison of sin .. and knowledge. And without the tie-dye shirts and head bands and peace chains. We used to quietly snicker at how stupid they all looked anyway.

Forgiveness

Hello everyone and welcome to the Vortex where lies and falsehoods are trapped and
exposed. I’m Michael Voris.
Christmas time is a splendid time .. a time where the center of the life of God .. who He is at His core is abundantly evident.
And who God is .. not WHAT .. but WHO He is .. is Mercy .. the fullness of the
manifestation of the love God has for His sinful creatures.
And all we need to do is simply respond favorably .. really .. that’s all we need to do. God became Man. It’s really unfathomable when you start to dwell on it.
Incomprehensible actually. That the Eternal God would stoop from Heaven .. fly from
Heaven into the womb of a humble virgin so he could have flesh that would be brutalized and die on a cross.
And all so we could experience His forgiveness for having so treated Him. This could
only makes sense in the mind and heart of a God crazy in love with His creatures.
And about that forgiveness thing .. have you ever stopped to consider what ACTUALLY
is going on there. The dead are being raised, literally .. not in the body .. not just YET anyway .. that comes later .. but right now .. years and years of accumulated sins and animosity toward God .. resistance to His loving care .. rejection of His beauty .. decades of that in many
cases .. simply blotted out as the soul rejuvenates .. like Ezekiel’s valley of dry bones being rehydrated and reassembled.
What response could such a person give other than to cast themselves totally and
completely on God .. the source of their life? Seriously?
Such a person .. you or me .. forgiven so much .. and I mean here, the sinner dead for YEARS .. trapped in death dealing sin .. who has been forgiven all .. a sum of debt against God to great to count .. this person has no other ability other than to love God beyond measure.
Afterall .. who loves MORE .. the one forgiven little or the one forgiven MUCH?
We love God in the proportion of he degree of sins which have been forgiven. Here .. the image of St. Paul should be coming to mind .. or Augustine as well as many others. Insights and inspirations are then given to such people because they have flung themselves headlong into the Divine Life .. the source of all inspiration.
It’s like a child who early in life is terrified of the water .. who grows up to be an Olympic Gold Medalist in swimming.
Not only does he conquer his fear .. but he conquers is with such an abandon that he far excels all his peers.
But have you considered this .. the exhilaration of that feeling of being set free .. the EXPERIENCE of the God’s mercy .. is something God Himself will never know. Never having been ensnared by sin .. He cannot know the experience of having been set free from it.
Even the resurrection itself is a freeing from the EFFECT of sin [death] .. but Our
Blessed Lord never knew the experience of being RESTORED to the Father .. never
knew it because He was never separated from the Father because of sin.
God is so abundantly and overflowingly merciful and loving that he has accorded us
humans the grace to experience a supernatural thrill beyond measure .. flowing out from within the very life of the Trinity .. a thrill that He Himself does cannot know and experience as we do.
This is what happens to the hard hearted sinner who has delayed the sacrament of
confession for years on end. He does not care that you have sinned as much as He cares that you return. Being somewhat unapproachable in His Divine Majesty .. he hides it beneath the flesh of a child wrapped in swaddling clothes laying in a feeding trough. This is the story of forgiveness .. the epic of mercy .. written in ever so small lettering on that first lonely Christmas two millennia ago. The gift that Our Lord wants to give this Christmas is the one that He always wants to give .. and you might call it .. the gift that keeps on giving.

What Happened to the Angels?

Hello everyone and welcome to the Vortex where lies and falsehoods are trapped and
exposed. I’m Michael Voris.
We’re almost into high gear now for Christmas season .. almost .. and as we look around everywhere .. from malls .. to churches .. and our homes .. we see angels everywhere. It’s kind of their annual time since they are so closely associated with the events of Christmas. But there is something very disturbing going on with the portrayal of them. For the past number of years .. you will notice that they are being portrayed more and more as effeminate wispy little things that look like they just left a hair appointment at the salon as opposed to the mighty warriors that they actually are. Angelic beings are terrifying to behold. We know this certainty from Sacred Scripture. Every single time without fail .. when a being from the celestial realm makes their presence known to a human .. the human practically faints from fright .. fright at just their mere presence.
The angel needs to reassure whoever is beholding him to Fear Not .. or Do Not be Afraid. This is true EVERY single time an angel reveals himself visibly in Sacred Scripture. Why are people terrified when they behold an angel. Because the angels are fearsome soldiers .. warriors who battle the demonic .. which by the way is also terrifying in appearance.
We know that the angelic presence is fearsome to behold and armed for battle not only
form the reaction of the humans who encounter them .. but also from the lips of Our
Blessed Lord Himself. In the garden of Gethsemane .. Our Lord told the Apostles to stand fast in the face of the armed mob which had come to seize Him ..“Thinkest thou that I cannot ask my Father, and he will give me presently more than twelve legions of angels?”
Here the word there ..“LEGIONS”? Angels are ferocious warriors. They are blinding to
sinful men because they are mirrors of the Divine Glory and exist on the boundaries of the Holy Trinity and are ablaze from the Divine fire.
But the uninitiated would NEVER glean this truth from the contemporary portrayal of the angelic beings.
Seriously .. who would be afraid of a being that looked like this? Heck .. you’d be more inclined to ask ‘em on date or what’s their favorite perfume then drop at their feet and tremble in fear.

But HOW and WHY did this emasculation of the angelic realm come about? In short ..
it’s owing to the massive feminization of the Faith that has gone on for decades now .. a deliberate overthrowing of the masculine for the ultimate sake of denying the truth of God.
The Catholic faith .. on a local level .. down in the trenches .. has been turned into a cult of femininity .. where noting offensive can ever be said .. and anything truthful and difficult is labeled as offensive.
We are going to be focusing on this topic a lot in coming weeks .. but we thought a
discussion on how angels have been robbed of their masculinity might be worth
mentioning during this Christmas season.
And before anyone says angels aren’t masculine or feminine .. they are spirits who have no gender .. rest assured .. we are not talking about gender. Correct .. angels are not male or female .. but they are most definitely masculine .. because GOD is masculine. Our Blessed Lord .. the second Person of the Blessed Trinity .. whose appearance among us we are about to celebrate .. descended from the realm of divinity and took on the flesh of a man .. and He taught His followers to pray to the First Person of the Holy Trinity as “Father”.
But this is only the opening point in a much larger discussion we will be having early in the New Year. For the moment .. while reflecting on the angelic beings this
Christmastide .. remember when you hear the reading at Mass of the angel appearing to
the shepherds .. the part that says .. And behold an angel of the Lord stood by them
and the brightness of God shone round about them: and they feared with a great
fear. And the angel said to them: Fear not,”
The shepherds didn’t react that way because they saw a CoverGirl Model .. but because
they saw the power and strength and might of a visitor from the heavenly realm .. armed for battle.

Hello everyone and welcome to the Vortex where lies and falsehoods are trapped and

The famous Shroud of Turin is back in the news .. again. For those who don’t know .. the
shroud is widely held to be the burial shroud of Our Blessed Lord in the tomb.
Without getting into all the detail and history .. suffice it so say that the belief about the
shroud aroused the curiosity of science and the cloth has been subjected to a battery of
tests of every technology known to man to try and determine its authenticity.
But the lingering question .. for which the greatest scientific minds in the world have not
been able to arrive at an answer is this .. how did the image of a crucified man get on the
shroud .. it is the question on questions.
According to Vatican Insider Magazine .. ENEA, the National Agency for New
Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development, has published a
report on five years of experiments conducted on the shroud.
ENEA says .. quote .“Simply put: we tried to understand how the Shroud of
Turin was imprinted by an image so special that it constitutes its charm,
and poses a great and very radical challenge, "to identify the physical and
chemical processes capable of generating a color similar to that of the
image on the Shroud. "
So .. what’s the conclusion of the report. That it would have taken .. get this .. 34
Thousand Billion Watts of VUV radiations to make that image on the shroud.
34 thousand billion watts .. 34 thousand billion!
So .. why don’t scientists just get a similar cloth and blast it with 34 thousand billion
watts of radiation? Because modern science can’t count that high. According to the report
.. quote “This level of power cannot be produced by any VUV light source built to date
(the most powerful available on the market come to several billion watts )”.
So .. here’s a question for all our atheist friends? How does a corpse suddenly blast forth
34 thousand billion watts of VUV radiation in the twinkling of an eye?
We Catholics have an answer. What’s yours?
And just imagine. Personal faith .. Piety and Devotion tells us that the same body that
radiated that energy in a burial cloth in a cave is the same one we will soon celebrate as
being wrapped in a swaddling cloth and placed in a manger in a cave.

This article from "The Housetops" by Thomas Augustin, on the subject of belief in the Real Presence and the need for reverence and respect for OUR LORD IN THE BLESSED SACRAMENT.

When you come into My house, don't mind Me, but greet your neighbor instead; there is no need for silence and prayer. Don't worry about what you have on, let's not be formal. When did He say, "There is no need to0 kneel when you receive Me"? How may sacrileges come from not immediately consuming the Sacred Host?" How many more could be prevented by receiving on the tongue"? Can we picture Our Lord saying, "Now that you have pitched out all those distracting statues from the sanctuary, it's time to put Me out too; off to a side altar-or a little box in the wall will do."
"Some liturgical experts have imagined hat the Traditional Latin Liturgy was offensive to God because the priest turned his back to the people, made too many genuflections, and repetitive signs of the cross. They called for a reform in the Liturgy devoid of 'servile ' worship and undue reference to sacrifice.
"The truth is that Our Lord has put Himself in our care.. He has given us no other signs by which to recognize Him than the Transubstantiation of bread and wine.
It is up to us to demonstrate that we truly believe that God is present. When we genuflect we show adoration. When we kneel, we show that we are less then He. When
we are silent, we show reverence. Formal attire conveys respect. Modest dress shows shows docility to his commandments. By what signs do we give God His just due"?

(Too long have we gotten away from the signs that we respect Him, that we adore Him,
that we believe he is present, Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. These were the teachings of years ago by our leaders, It is not so today, as the Mass has turned in to an action that we do out of repetition, that we feel good about doing when we feel like it. How many of you would go for weeks without taking a shower, or washing your hands and face to get the minute by minute dirt we acquire in our actions, and yet a year can go by, without cleansing the sins off our souls. Is it because we do not see the filth, and dirt collected on our souls. Do we feel that because we did not steal, killed, injured someone, that we have not sinned in our minds?
Wake up Catholics, you have been taught and lead wrongly. Those that know better have felt that because everyone else doesn't go to confession regularly, that you do not need to do it either. When we stand to be judged, will it be with thousands of others, or by ourselves? This is not a condemnation article that had been written, but an awakening article that you should take to heart. I am fortunate in that I go to mass where the truth is exposed, and the road to heaven is shown.
When we pass away from this present life, there is nothing we can do to change what has happened to make right the wrongs we have done.
Those of you that read these posts, please listen to these learned people, that only wish to lead you to the Narrow road that leads to Heaven, not the wide road, which many take that is easy, and leads to the fires of Hell.

Every now and then .. we come across some of the stupidest claims you can imagine.
And they would be totally laughable and dismissible if it weren’t for the fact that they gain traction because “scholars” and “experts” bandy them about and write books and articles pushing them in highly visible media outlets.
One such occasion is a recent posting .. actually a series of posting and articles on the intellectually-challenged website .. the Huffington Post .. nick named Huff Po among its legions of devoted liberal non-thinkers.
A recent series of articles has been published claiming that various saints of the Catholic Church were/are QUEER.
The first of the articles is called Joan of Arc and nine other Queer saints. The point of the series is .. according to the article .. “.. a way to celebrate and honor those who did not live "straight" lives and to discover role models and trail blazers who may have been obscured, forgotten, or stripped of their queerness.”
Are you flipping kidding me?! Seriously. As absolutely dumb as this sounds .. it has a world of sound scholarship behind .. according to the radically feminine homosexual
activist movement .. who, of course, have a dog in this fight .. likely a chihuahua.
The article goes on to quote the work of Susan Stryker and Stephen Whittle who have
published their propaganda . er .I mean “findings” in a work entitled The Transgender
Studies Reader. And here’s a shock .. Susan Stryker is a lesbian and Stephen Little is actually a woman who underwent surgery to change his outward sexual appearance to that of a man .. also mistakenly referred to as being transgendered – mistaken because there is no such thing ..but hey .. we digress.
So these two put together a publication and quote other people who agree with them ..
and their “findings” spread because the lesbian Stryker carries with her the cache of
having been a post doctoral Fellow at Stanford University.
So after that set up .. what’s their reasoning that Joan of Arc was an out and proud
lesbian? Hold on now .. WAIT FOR IT .. WAIT FOR IT …. because she wore men’s clothes and was burned at the stake for refusing to put on women’s clothes.
Yep that’s their claim. A young teenage maiden who led French forces into the fog of
war on horseback at the prompting of Divine voices and saved France was burned at the
stake for being a “queer” [their word, not ours] lesbian transvestite.
Is there no end to what hate-filled spittle-producing homosexuals will say to slam the
Catholic Church. Not to mention .. is there no end to the absolutely ridiculously stupid
comments they will make to support their desire to be seen as normal for wanting to have
sex with each other.
Heads up Gay Nation. It ain’t normal. Never was. Never will be. And stop trying to coopt
Catholicism into your hellish agenda. PLEASE. Joan of Arc was a lesbian because
she wore men’s clothes?
She wore men’s battle gear because she was in battle. She was in battle because she
heard Divine voices that told her to go into battle. What do you think a 19 year old girl
SHOULD wear on horseback as she’s wielding a sword on a battlefield .. GUCCI?
The clothing became an issue because it was attached to the issue of her in battle and the
issue of her being in battle became an issue because it went to the issue of her claiming to
hear voices that she said were Divine .. for which she was burned at the stake for heresy.
In order to enlighten these vociferous spite-filled homosexuals bent on saying anyone
famous in history was gay so it makes them LOOK normal .. we say .. look at the final
transcripts of her trial .. her judgment and her execution that we have provided over here.
Allow me to quote one line .. one very pertinent line from the transcript itself as she is
being tied to the stake ..
“WE DECLARE THEE OF RIGHT EXCOMMUNICATE AND HERETIC; and after
your errors have been destroyed in a public preaching, We declare that you must be
abandoned and that We do abandon thee to the secular authority, as a member of Satan,
separate from the Church, infected with the leprosy of heresy, in order that you may not
corrupt also the other members of Christ;”.
That is not a statement executing her for her deplorable taste in fashion .. but for her
HERESY in claiming to hear voices.
But this is standard fare for the homosexual movement .. make their twisted and perverse
understanding of sexual morality seem normal by making up stuff about historical figures
or combing thru the pages of history books looking for ANYTHING that even remotely
could be twisted into “PROOF” that Leonardo da Vinci or Joan of Arc was gay.
And the overall point they completely miss is this .. even if .. and they weren’t .. but even
if these historical figures WERE attracted to the same sex .. that doesn’t mean they were
having sexual relations with them .. or thought it was good and holy.
IF they are in heaven .. and in the case of St. Joan of Arc .. she is .. it isn’t BECAUSE she was a transvestite or lesbian or whatever .. but IN SPITE of it. One would think that there probably are citizens of the Heavenly Kingdom who while on earth had to overcome same-sex attraction .. but they are in Heaven PRECISELY because they DID overcome it .. not because the celebrated it and marched in parades and performed lewd acts in public and tossed condoms off floats .. or in the case of Joan of Arc .. refused to give up her Wranglers and cowboy boots.
Stop defaming our saints in your cause to make evil good and what is good evil.
St. Joan of Arc .. pray for us.
